Oh, Dave! What a marvelous episode! I love your snowshoe hare!!! What a wonderful and INSPIRING teacher you are!! I especially appreciate your serene demeanor and calming reassurance that there are no mistakes in making art! You have greatly encouraged me to be more creative and take my up-cycling to another level. You and Heather are a delightful inspiration to everyone that watches your channel! You guys are my new Spirit Animals!! 🐇♥️
Touched my ❤, a grey little bunny was one of my animal loved ones, 13 years of great daily adventures! Beside this fact I like it as a fashion statement too and as an art piece too, VERY GOOD JOB!
I love the hare, I absolutely adore bunnies so much and you painted the base pink my favorite 😊 Can’t wait for the reveal and too see what Heather does with the crocheted blanket/ skirt 😊
Dave, this upcycling project was AMAZING! You are an incredibly talented artist! And I can't believe that you were painting it upside down! This was such an enjoyable process to watch. Thank you (and thank Heather) for sharing your thrift shop trips, your style tips and your upcycling projects with us!
Thank you. When I am painting the image upside down I never know how the details are going to come out. The hare ended up reminding me of of the one from Alice in Wonderland...a little animated. We love sharing with you and really love how these comments inspire us to achieve more❤️❤️❤️Thank you!
Oh Wow that's amazing!!I love Hare's and Bunnies and Rabbits!! LoL 🤣😆 I have a Beautiful fluffy Guinea Pig named Sol Yule 🐾🐾🤗🙏 Thank You Dave and Heather for sharing your wonderful 🛍️ shopping sprees and your wonderful projects!!
Add a dark brown knitted sweater to the cuffs. It would look very cool like as if you were wearing a sweater under with the sleeves just coming through. A big thick cuff i think rolled even
Dark brown is a really good go to colour combo with warm colours...and Heather is into knitting the cuffs. We will let you know how we make out. There has been lots of suggestions for this jacket..just wonderful ideas. Wishing you a lovely day💕💕💕
Oh my goodness, Dave! That pink handbag with the bunny is awesome!!! I think you are an excellent teacher! I look forward to every video from you, and Heather!❤❤❤
Dave you are a marvelous Artist ! I love the illustration on the handbag for Heather ! You are very patient, and kind while teaching us to paint. I love the two paintings you did,and showed us at the beginning of this video. I'm very fond of "Snow" paintings. Winter is such a "Magical" time of year ! We hardly get any snow in my part of the USA. When I was little we would love playing in the snow with our sleds, and build snow houses, and snow men.Our climate has changed. I live in the North Eastern part of America. We just get rain in the Winter now ! Love your creations, looking forward to more of your ideas, and stylings. Happiness, Cindy🌻
Thank you for all of your kindness Cindy. The second painting you saw was forty feet wide where the people would gather on the river to skate, fish, and play...and drive their vehicles on. I recreated this from a black images I had seen from 1940. Today the river does not freeze. Heather and I love skiing but there might not be any opportunities this year do to the weather❤️❤️❤️
The carpet bag vinyl would look fantastic in the same olive green as the bag. Another wonderful video. Your painting skills are amazing. And every upcycle thought out to reflect life as it is now. Love Love Love as always!
You did a fabulous job on that purse. That bunny is gorgeous and love that you painted the purse baby pink. I also paint and I have the perfect purse to do this. Awesome work! I’m so inspired!
The brown jacket looks like a Bode jacket. You are so talented you could look up her designs and make it look fabulous! You could do patchwork piece on sleeve cuff. Also, at the bottom of the jacket if you do decide to make in longer. All your other ideas are amazing.
Love Bode! We are familiar with the designs. We have been recently enjoying seeing the re-touched in colour films from the 1940's for fashion runway shows. RUclips has a great selection. An amazing era for fashion. Wishing you a beautiful day💕💕💕
Wow... this is the first time since I subscribed that I got to see an upcycling video for fashion and what beautiful work everything came out to be. The pieces are truly elevated. Thank you for also sharing your lessons and tips and definitely your encouraging and inspiring words for any of us to give it a try.
Angelina Jolie the actress launched a line of up cycle clothing, accessories it's the first of its kind called "Altier Jolie" located in NYC you should check it out I believe anyone can submit upcycle. As for the Ralph Lauren coat I would add denim sleeves and collar
Thank you for sharing. We do remember watching something awhile ago on the upcycling process for this line of upcycle clothing. Very exciting! Denim sleeves and collar for the RL jacket...interesting❤️❤️❤️
You could do a burgundy color , to add length to the arms and make a wide cuff . Or even the cuffs off of a cream colored sweater to make the tones that are in the jacket out.😊
that's an interesting thing to do with dresses. I would love to give a dress a more punk/grunge look. Just something fun to do. A few years ago, I saw sweaters in fashion magazines with brooches attaches to them. I thought that was very nice looking. So maybe something like costume jewelry attached to the coat or the dress.
Hey Dave loved your bunny, except you didn't give it a tail. 😢 haha the other thing with your jacket sued cuffes would be nice, I thought a dark green of a tan. Any way nice seeing you do your best.
Hey waiter, there's a hare on my purse. (Oh, that was very bad.) Love the purse! Dave you are wonderful. But my favorite thing about this video is the Heather-wig. You two are so funny. Also, did you paint that chicken in the painting behind you? Have a great day, and thanks for showing us how you do it. Would llke to see transformation of jacket. I would add another men's pattern or tweed on the jacket. Dark green?
You are very kind! Love that wig LOL. Life is all about the humor. I did paint that Rooster. His name was Jack. He was a Silky...a very old breed who was extremely loving and protective of his twenty or so chickens. We had them as free range pets and they gave us lots of entertainment as well as eggs to give away to art enthusiasts that would visit often. dark green on the RL sounds good. Green is becoming a popular suggestion. Wishing you an inspirational day❤️❤️❤️
The jacket should still be a sweater. Either a forest green, burgundy,or like a tumeric colour. The bottom id add the bottom of a dress shirt in the same kind of colour as the sweater sleeves. Add it so its peeking out about 5 inches or so. Give the illusion of another shirt underneath
I've often see suede in a camel color and I think if you could find a very light weight suede jacket that cheap enough and size shouldn't matter bcuz you only need the sleeves to add to it. Original I was thinking just roll it to a 3/4 sleeve and wear a wild print shirt with long fold up cuffs
Thank you for your suggestion. We do have extra suede in our pile of fabrics. A camel color might be a perfect match. The layering idea is something we have been thinking about. Wishing you a beautiful day❤️❤️❤️
I would like to wear this jacket throughout the year when the temperatures are around 50 degrees F ,which is maybe the most common temperature here. If I layer the jacket I need something thin under it as I get too hot. It is a beautiful jacket❤️❤️❤️
Love the purse 💞💞 In addition to the fashion, I would totally watch more Dave paints videos. 🖌 I learned a lot from this painting of the hare☺
Thank you. I will make sure to do some more painting videos. I will have to show what Heather paints too. Wishing you an amazing day💕💕💕

Quite intriguing thoughts here with the RL jacket. You are getting me to process a real unique look with this piece...thank you❤️❤️❤️
Add elbow patches to the Ralph Lauren jacket in a suede or knit material
Thank you for your suggestion for the RL coat Nancy. Hope you are having an amazing da💕💕💕

Dave, why not just wear a long sleeve sweater instead of having to sew? Beautiful jacket.
