Been watching your videos since day 1. Without any doubt or competition this is the most helpful algo trading information i have found online. You tackle the core concepts and issues most of the beginner algo traders battle with and take months if not years to figure out on their own. Thank you!

This is really Awesome. Thank you soooo much. Does NinjaTrader back tester behave the same way?

Hi, Martyn. Your video is very inspiring. I did a few tests on open prices only and here's what I found. I put "Print(iClose(Symbol(), PERIOD_H1, 1))" in my EA and set test timeframe to 1h with open prices only. After running the journal shows the prints are accurate. It can tell the close price of last 1h bar. I guess it's because the system thinks the new bar's open price is the previous bar's close prices which are not always true but mostly likely very close. So even though it only has open prices data but it can guess last bar's close price. But there's one thing I don't understand that is when I change into "Print(iHigh(Symbol(), PERIOD_H1, 1))". It somehow prints all the last bar's high price accurately. How come? How could it guess last bar's high price if only open prices are available?

Great video. May I ask if you can enlighten us all on whether MT4 behaves the same way?

Before making the leap from daily to tick (quite a big jump), maybe you should try using hourly processing? Let us know how you get on :)

Working with OpenPrice of candle 1 seems unaffected by the frequency of ticks arriving to the terminal

Hi Aimak - Yes, that's exactly the point. This is why you can unify behavior across backtesting and live to well when using this model in association with bar open controlling in code. Keep an eye out for my next video where I will be showing the code I personally use to do this
