The song was awesome. Really clever and catchy. John Payne is a good man. A Marine, a business owner and a pilot who instructs for the love of aviation! I only flew with him twice but he has a calm confidence that made me comfortable after years not in the cockpit. I learned a lot and wasn’t stressed (different from other CFIs). Glad to see him back doing what he loves. Great video Tom! I’m glad you had the “How to Fly” manual with you.
Hey Terry, glad you liked the video. That day with John was a hoot. We laughed all the way through the flight. The fun is not just in the airplane it’s also with the company you keep. The whole gang at AeroSport has made this build experience a real joy. Thanks again for the kind words.
Not sure. At altitude I can slow the BushCat to 37 mph indicated at full flaps before it actually breaks in the stall. At 44 you’ll start to get the buffet.
Excuse me sir, have you flown the Bushcat in cold conditions? If so, what was it like? Are there accessories to warm up while in the aircraft? Thank you.
Yes, my first flight in the Bushcat was in February. It was about 20 degrees F. The Bushcat has a very effective cabin heat option, dual controlled. So if you are toasty and warm but your passenger is freezing his butt off he can switch on his own cabin heat. The Bushcat also comes with a behind the seat "curtain seal" to keep the heat in the cockpit rather than it spilling out into the fuselage. I was impressed with the cabin heat on this plane. It blows the warm air higher unto your lap rather than only on your feet as many cabin heat confiurations do on other planes. At 20 degrees I was comfortable.

Why is the advertised stall speed(44mph) so high compared to other lsa like rans s6, zenith CH750, Ikarus, etc which are all under 35mph?

@@bushcattom How well does it work at -40?
@@GrizzAxxemann I don’t live at the North Pole. I have no idea how good the heaters work at -40. I imagine I would be dead and not caring too much. 😄
