    Emotionally, I'm all over the place after watching this. This baby is still very much in nursing mode and doesn't seem to check much yet for the bottle--- at least with consistency; he's latching onto Dalila, who, unlike Ms. Freddy, I don't believe is lactating. But, he's clinging to her very closely... he's just the cutest little munchkin. So glad, despite the fact that they are still in adjustment mode, that they have each other.🥰😇💗💞💓

      Freddy is 50 and she's lactating. But Jameela is getting bottles too. Freddy probably isn't producing enough milk to sustain an infant. The fact that she's lactating at all is amazing.

    • @HSR-bk5qb
      @HSR-bk5qb 2 месяца назад +9

      @@shawna6683 She's in her early 50s... considered older by gorilla standards; but even if she was younger, lactation when you haven't given birth recently is very rare. Freddy's was a form of spontaneous lactation in response to her newly found (adoptive) motherhood; like Dalila, her new charges are not hers by birth and years have passed since she birthed her own. Who knows though?.... You might be right; she's comforting him there by letting him suckle and by patting him, so maybe her body might kick in biologically.

I pray she does start to lactate as Freddy did but if not, the zookeepers will make sure Makongo gets plenty of milk and nourishment. Papa Lomako seems a lot let stressed and calm now that his baby boy Makongo is with Dalila and he can lovingly watch over him from the same room and not be separated from him. Dalila will know when it is time for him to touch and interact with Makongo. Usually baby gorillas don't have a lot of interaction with the silverback until they are a little older. @@chaotic_gamer1642 The zookeeper spent the entire morning chasing after the baby to feed him, but there's no need to worry; the baby also consumes some solid food to supplement his diet. Dalila is very intelligent and cooperates with the zookeeper to complete the feeding task.👸🦍👏♥️

      He is more curious about Dalila's food and always wants to stay with his foster mother. The zookeeper eventually tried giving milk to Dalila, hoping Makongo would imitate her behavior and drink more milk.

    A mãe do Makongo era Tamidol de 25 anos, depois que ela teve ele, adoeceu e morreu.
    Tinha muitos abscessos no corpo.

      Gorillas typically live 35 years in the wild, but in captivity, with better care and no predators, they can live up to 50-60 years🤝♥️🦍

    These gorillas are wonderful wsp Dahlia but I believe the other smaller monkeys in with them are an annoyance to them and shouldn't be in there with them. Can they not have their own space.

      These little mangabeys have always lived with the gorillas, and there's no way to get rid of them 😂😂😂. Right now, baby Makongo is still too young, but once he grows up and gets stronger 💪, he'll show those little monkeys who's the boss!😂😂😂👶🦍♥️💪💪🙌

    I think Dailia is too old to foster such a young baby

      But Dalila is the most suitable surrogate mother to care for the baby.
