Tom is the knowledge of this show and seeing a man his age getting around doing the physical outdoor work the way he does is amazing. He does more than most people half his age. He can't be replaced and I wish he would write a book with directions on many of the things he makes and with a few tips or little bits on survival and life.
My favorite parts of Mountain Men is watching Tom & Nancy craft. I wish we could see more of that.

Tom, this video is so great to see you and your wife sitting at your table in a beautiful log house working together on crafts that were made years ago. The setting is amazing including your dog lying in front of the fire. I enjoy hand work on wood and leather projects so I can relate. I have thoroughly enjoyed this video and would like to see more of them. Stay well and enjoy life!

Hey Katie, just go do it. There are many "Mountain Men" watching for a good woman to show up. go show yourself by doing ..many will be watching and one will stand out for you! Good "Mountain Women" will stand out....be that one that stands out in a crowd! Go learn the trades of mountain life...live it...otherwise you will talk yourself out of it thinking ..life has passed you by! Remember, if you want a "Mountain Man" ..go where they are!
@@bugnfront Maine is pretty mountainous lol but before I can move into true wilderness I must have a financial buffer. And tools and supplies needed. I have many skills and much knowledge although always more to learn.

I adore this!❤️My precious father and I were best friends, completely inseparable. He passed away January of 2021, we enjoyed creating crafts together, writing poems, song writing, arrowhead hunting, and watching Tom Ora together! I miss my father so deeply, but I am so grateful, that I can watch Mountain Men (Tom Ora) and feel like my dad is with me. I am blessed to have had so many wonderful years with my dad, and so many precious memories together.
Tom and my father were the same age, with similar personalities. I miss my cowboy! ❤️ Thank you for this video, it’s so peaceful, watching two wonderful people like, Tom and Nancy Ora crafting in a this beautiful log cabin, with sweet Ellie sleeping by the crackling fire!❤️

This is great! History Channel should put out more of these from Mountain Men (and maybe other shows). Pretty relaxing, and shows a bit of the "day in the life" of some of Mountain Men's fan favorites. Kinda sad though; last I heard, Tom finally packed it in and moved to Florida.

His kids pressured him into moving, at his age, which I can understand. Still... The Yaak Valley probably very much misses him!
After many years of not watching these series, because I moved after over 9 years in Whitehorse, it was a surprise to me, but then they have their own lives to consider, I just turned a very young 75 on September 27th, and this Native man still has many projects to do, given another 54+ years as Bible says to me! Way to go, Nancy and Tom, good for you, enjoy your lives together!!!
Tom and Nancy have shared so much with us all...id like to ask some of you to say a Prayer for them both as they have truly blessed us all. I truly hope they can find a new life in Florida that they can enjoy, I worry Toms heart will ache with sadness once realizing how crowded life in Florida is...May God Bless you Both! Wish Tom, Nancy and Ellie the best not sure I assume they've moved to Florida by now. Haven't watched this show in a long time, but Tom was always my favorite along with Marty because it seemed those two were the most genuine and actually trying to survive.

I have always wanted to live like Tom but been city person for all my life. However I truly appreciate and learned so much from watching Tom and others on Mountain-Men show. I enjoyed watching this video and appreciate how things that we use and paid for went through so much work. I know not everything we bought is handmade but if/when we get handmade product they sure last a long time.
I enjoyed this session more than any other Mountain Man session I've seen - wonderful atmosphere - enjoyable to just watch and listen to the fire. Great series . . . .
Tom's always been my favorite. I hope they're able to be happy in Florida. It's a huge change but family and health are important too. Marty's next of my favs but I hear he quit too. I don't care about dogs and hunting big cats so I ignore that. I do like Jason. Maybe he'll stay since he's younger.

What an agonizing decision to make... to leave all that you’ve built & love to do😥. Just watching you two warms my heart💖. However I understand how tough it can be & challenging. I’m late finding Mountain Men & completely hooked! I’m 73 & been a country girl all my life. That’s where the peace is found.

More from any of the Mountain Men or any similar show for that matter as these videos do what your channel was about before you jumped on the reality tv bandwagon and that's explore and preserve history. Please return to that mission statement and start with more videos like this.

Beautiful couple...I live in the mountains of Northern Vermont, not a hole lot different just not as vast...I was a hounds-man for over 20 years until my best friend for 30 years who a ran hounds with passed away this winter and Now I to have hung up the hunting with hounds, not the same with out my partner “Rooster”....Tom reminds me so much of him it makes me cry...I’m afraid there are very few left with these skills, unfortunately the younger Generations have no interest in the wilderness...I’ll continue bush flying until I can’t do that any more either, getting old really stinks.
