I've teared up twice in my life because of a Syracuse Basketball moment. Once was in 1987 and the spectre of a missed one-and-one free throw and, of course, Keith Smart's winning shot has lived with SU fans from that moment forward. Then again, right here in the final moments of this video, on that insane night in April of 2003. The sheer emotion of seeing Boeheim winninf in the same building in which SU played - and lost - that hearbreaking night in '87 was exhilarating. Those '03 kids were a special bunch. I remember my dad, brother and I grabbing each other and jumping up and down in the middle of our living room, our dog Luke barking up a storm and my mom coming out of the bedroom where she was hiding, afraid to watch the game. We lost my dad this year, but I thank god he was alive to see his team win it all. Nothing will ever tarnish that memory.

the only reason Syracuse won that title is because Kansas couldnt buy a free throw lol. Kansas was the better team pretty much the entire game. and NO, im not a Kansas fan.
@@bcoughlin10 like i said. all thanks to Kansas not being able to hit their free throws. if Kansas would have hit most of their free throws they would have won.
quietstormNC has made the dumbest comment of the decade. Seems like any game that is within 6 points, the outcome could be different if the loser hit more foul shots. Foul shots are part of the game. If you miss them and the other team makes theirs, you are not the better team.

I was a ninth grader in high school when our boys from Syracuse FINALLY pulled it off! Will never forget the feeling of being on top 🏀
Carmelo Anthony in 2:22, 2:30 and 3:01. He really was a great player in his younger age both in NCAA and NBA.

Your right, it does sound like a bitter Kansas fan
Entire game? Cuse led by 11 at halftime and led by 18 at one point during the first half too.

They change back to a bad singer 2004. The score is also bad so now it’s bad in both ways.
