I appreciate that these figures we're designed and created by artists. Their creations we're interpreted into plastic from another artist's drawings. I love the imperfections, flaws, exaggerations and liberties taken by the artists at TOY BIZ. As much as I love modern hyper realistic sculpts and computer applied paint applications I feel like they're not as soulful.
toybiz was beyond its years , its not the just the classic designs of the figures , but it was what a good figure should be like... it was durable as a kid no matter how many times ive smashed it it just never broke as easy as hasbro, man i miss toybiz
So glad to hear that many still remember and love toybiz marvel legends. Im still loving mcfarlane spiderman and other toybiz figures such as face off cap.
nice list anthony my top 10 is 1.man thing 2.face off cap 3.ghost rider series 3 4.mr sinister 5.colossus 6 weapon x wolverine 7 silver centurion iron man 8 nightcrawler 9 blackheart 10. face off hulk
Toybiz was way better than Hasrbo's first decade, bu theyve been doing great in the last couple of yrs...Top 10 Toybiz for me, agree with most in this list, but Id replace Beast with Cap, Wolverine (apocalypse baf) with Beta Ray, Sasquatch (white variant) with Maestro, and Bald Bishop with Cable...
that's actually a decent deal if your buying it from someone or a store without paying shipping. it use to be $30 but after the dead pool movie people are paying from $35 to $50 range.
Great work, Brother. You're not staying away from the Good that you do. I love-love-love every figure you've mentioned in the Video. To me, My favorite is the Astonishing Wolverine from the Apocalypse Series. Toybiz rocked making it Realistic and in Scale. The Leg's articulation was funny but, it still came to life. That's what's Great about the figure, Wolvie looks so real its as if it jumped from the pages of the Books...
Thanks for the list, Anthony, been wanting one of these made for a while now. I was going to say how upset I was that Astonishing Wolverine didn't make the list but then I realized just how long the Toybiz Marvel Legends series lasted; with all these great figures they made through the years I can only imagine this list may have been tough for you to only choose 10 to be the best.
That Deadpool has weird shoulders. I've always thought that. Even after the new one gets released, I'm guessing I'll never own a Marvel Legends Deadpool. Old ones are expensive and the new one will be impossible to find. Happy to see Beta Ray Bill on your list! Love that figure.
Are you going to be doing more best countdowns like this in the future? DCUC, DC Collectibles, Marvel Select, 1:12 scale superhero import figures (Figma, Figuarts, Mafex etc), Play Ar-... nvm on the last one lol.
Love it. Love it. LOVE it! I went in to the video with a pretty bad attitude. I don't know why - you're Anthony! I guess I'm jaded by other "reviewers" ragging on toy biz looking dated, and they only praise the usual suspects. You surprised me with at least four figures I never knew I'd love! Beta Ray, Bearded Hulk etc... Your #1 was SPOT-ON! That Green Goblin w/glider is the perfect marriage of sculpt, paint, articulation, and accessories (good comic, too). I ONLY own this figure because of your glowing review. - that must have been two?, three years ago? Thanks for your reviews. I stopped and re-admired all the Toy Biz gems I own. Doc Ock with a doll-stand to hold him up, and the metal webbing down on the stand's base looks freaking amazing, too. I'm not sure if you recommended that to me, or had him set up that way. I would have had him on this list - the tentacles were a bummer to pose, but they look great when you're happy. I really dig it when you take a break from new product, and revisit figures that deserve revisiting. It kind of gives you an education in figure anatomy, good paints from bad, and effort from phoning-it-in (enough Bucky Cap friggin' variants, Hasbro!). Toy Biz was not perfect, and Hasbro has come a long way with some surprises, but I really fondly remember the excitement of such amazing looking, articulated art. And the price! I still have some in clam-shells, and they were under $10.00 at the time! Figure, accessories, stand, BAF piece, and comic book - maybe even a diorama. Those were the motha'-lovin' days! You won't get that price on eBay these days! Thanks, man. Nostalgia overload Tuesday. I think I'll end my essay now. Cheers, Anthony!
I think faceoff hulk and beast deserve to be on here. Sure beast's hips are a little strange in articulation and it does suck that the they just painted over his legs for the underwear, but it's such a great sculpt and is really well articulated.
Great list! The only omission that really stands out for me is Man-Thing...the level of detail on that figure is just amazing...I probably would've put him in place of Cable, who was probably too short, and hasn't aged well...Also, did you keep BAFs off the list just because they're BAFs, or do you just think none made the cut? Because I really think the ML10 Sentinel deserves some love if you're going all inclusive...great job, tho, subbed!
I would threw beast in the top 10 love that figure. I would take the select colossus over the toybiz one. Better sculpt and paint with great articulation. That green goblin is awesome.
Solid list, man. Agreed with a majority of these I'd throw series 4 Beast in as an honorable mention. There's no way Hasbro will be able to match the amount of sculpted detail on that figure
Nice list. I don't know if you're counting special figures like the build-a-figures, or are considering bases and accessories, but I'd add Gambit, Bullseye, Blade and The BAF Sentinel to my personal top list
Dude, nice touch with the music at the background, it gave the video a little more of style, you should definitely use it on all of your videos. Also, good countdown, I definitely would've put the Nightcrawler at top but still, great figures.
fotzilla it didn't :/ over hyped wasn't painted enough and the the rifle and shotgun were dumb however I did get a good laugh out the taco and basooka lol
My first toybiz was the 90s Spiderman figure, the one with the Spiderman icon base, I think it also had articulated twipping fingers, too bad I got rid of it before I knew it's value, I also had the torn costume Spiderman, both were really good, however my first ML was Movie star Lord I love the accessories on that guy
I used to think Hasbro couldn't compete with Toy Biz at all, but then I realised they have actually made some figures than are better than their Toy Biz counterpart (e.g. Scarlet Witch, Rogue). I still think Toy Biz is better though.
Nice list. Some unexpected choices, but I like it. Love that Nightcrawler figure as well. However, unlike a lot of people, I actually like that head sculpt. Cable was kind of surprise to me as well, but again I really like that figure too. They have not made a better Cable figure than that one to date. And Green Goblin was a good choice for #1. I can't really find any fault with that figure. Also that variant GG is one of the best ever. Good stuff.
Really interesting list. I personally wouldn't have put Juggernaut or Colossus, even tho I love the figures. My number one would have to be Beast, but I'm kinda biased due to my love of the character. I off the top of my head, my list would be: 1. Beast 2. Nightcrawler 3. Fearsome Foes Spider-Man 4. Face-Off Captain America 5. Icons Venom 6. Beta Ray Bill 7. Ant-Man 8. Series 6 Wolverine 9. Bullseye 10. Sentinel BAF The list would prob be different if I had all of them in front of me, but those are the best I could think of. I'd love to hear your thought, and I'm looking forward to a best of Hasbro Legends (so far) and a best of ToyBiz non-Legends (like the classics figures)!
No Hobgoblin, with that awesome glider. I have both the Toybiz Hob and Green-goblin and even with the recent Hasbro releases I still have these gents as my go to baddies.
+AnthonysCustoms I mean what do you think of those who do not open their action figures? I think that when you buy a figure you can enjoy the purcase by opening the blister 🙂
A top hasbro legends would be great! These figures all look really good, but I'm a newish collector and pretty much all of the toybiz figures are really expensive now.
I think the Select Colossus is better than the Toy Biz, but is only a thought, I can't compare them together. And I don't have that Green Goblin, just the one of the Sinister six pack which is horrible but at least I have the original mold with the Hobgoblin :D
I'd put Astonishing Wolverine or Series 6 Wolverine on this list, depending on your preference. Series 6 Phoenix should maybe make the list as the best female figure Toy Biz ever made.
My list: 10: Galactus wave Doctor Strange 9: Sinister 6 Electro 8: Series 4 Punisher 7: Blob BAF 6: Tie between the Giant man Baf and Sentinel baf 5: Faceoff series Daredevil and Kingpin (both the variant and the original.) 4: Series 6 Deadpool 3: Tie between Faceoff series Captain America and Faceoff series Hulk (just the captain america and hulk, not the red skull and leader that comes with him) 2: Fearsome Foes Spider-man and Vulture Honorable mentions: Giant man wave Thor Mojo wave Falcon Mojo wave Green Goblin Blob series She-Hulk Series 8 Doc Ock Series 2 Doctor Doom Series 4 Beast Beta Ray Bill Galactus wave War Machine Series 8 Ironman Galactus wave Nightcrawler And now for number 1... 1: Tie between the Sinister 6 Spider-man and Venom and Marvel Legends Icons Venom
This doesn't have anything to do with the list but i need help picking between the awakening goku that came out last year or the premium colored trunks. I really like trunks but the goku is really good from all the reviews pls help me pick i can only get one
Like all 10 figures, not the order though, agree that this is the beast Spiderman, darker one more. Did see pictures of the new Colossus and Juggernaught? I think the new one is better proportioned.
Yeah I agree with that statement to the Captain America the neck is very out of proportion and that makes the arm look like it is placed on the side of the nipple
They sort of fixed those issues with the Face-Off release, but it's still the best Cap Figure in plastic. Anthony chose the Ultimate Cap from series 8 because of paint ops. Some of the Face-Off Caps had paint issues, but if you had the chance to select the best painted Cap, the Face-Off Cap is definitely the number one Rogers on my shelf.
I still believe toybiz was the best at making marvel legends
legend wolverine
Hasbro is cheap with their toys. No shading, boring sculpts, even the toybiz packaging was cool
I prefer toy biz to but they both have good things about them and they also have some flaws
So glad to hear that many still remember and love toybiz marvel legends. Im still loving mcfarlane spiderman and other toybiz figures such as face off cap.
nice list anthony
my top 10 is
1.man thing
2.face off cap
3.ghost rider series 3
4.mr sinister
5.colossus
6 weapon x wolverine
7 silver centurion iron man
8 nightcrawler
9 blackheart
10. face off hulk
For my number one I would have to say the Hulkbuster Iron Man. Damn, I'd wish the price range of the ML figures would go back to the ToyBiz pricing.
thats a good pick. like i said, this list could have easily been very different.
yeah it was like $7.99
The face in that Nightcrawler though..... totally gives off a wicked witch of the west vibe. Hey Leafy I found a chin you can have!!
Darth Shartstar666 lol fuck leafy. Idubbbz 4 lyfr
Damn, a Leafy reference here? Lmao.
It’s looks fine. It looks like a older night crawler
Never liked Apocalypse Wolverine. He is all the way too small..
@@lefty-92 but he's small, 5'2 in the comics .. I thought I just typed this post last month
@@gerrysabron he is, but the figure itself looks very small. Small legs, arms and head.
I prefer much more Series VI and X-Men Classics set Wolverine.
In my opinion toybiz body shapes are odd and non human like
Finnaly someone saw that that too
nah some like juggernaut i agree but most of the toy biz ones were good like bullseye
Agreed
Anthonyscustoms you are legit the coolest toy reviewer ever do NOT let anyone bring you down
Thanks a lot. I don't plan to.
Can't argue with the Top 3 here. All three still have spots on the shelf and will likely never be replaced.
do you guys think 40$ for a new toy biz marvel legends colossus is a good deal?
(I don't how much the figure is worth in the toy community)
that's actually a decent deal if your buying it from someone or a store without paying shipping. it use to be $30 but after the dead pool movie people are paying from $35 to $50 range.
Yeah it's decent deal, get them while they are cheap
@@lefthook_dead1129 I'm sure that reply was really helpful 3 years from when the comment was posted lmao.
Hey Anthony I just wanted to thank you for the constantly good uploads. You are easily my absolute favorite figure reviewer. Thank you so much dude!
Thanks a lot for the support!
+AnthonysCustoms No problem, you deserve it!
i loved cable , captain america and colossus , nice vid mate
Great work, Brother. You're not staying away from the Good that you do. I love-love-love every figure you've mentioned in the Video. +AnthonysCustoms You need a Top10 of the Honorable Mention From TOYBIZ, Brother. BASH HASBLO some more... Your the People's Champ.
hasbro has a lot of good figures. i think one top ten for toybiz will do for now.
All your videos are amazing and you tell us the Truth about all the figure
Awesome video!!! I need that Collosis in my life.

Oh wow, that Green Goblin was the only one I didn't get from that series as well, I was a leg away from Onslaught
Are you going to be doing more best countdowns like this in the future?
DCUC, DC Collectibles, Marvel Select, 1:12 scale superhero import figures (Figma, Figuarts, Mafex etc), Play Ar-... nvm on the last one lol.

awesome list man, please do a top 10 play arts or Sh Figuarts
already planned
+AnthonysCustoms u should have included the toybiz legends man thing. He is also a good figure
+AnthonysCustoms awesome look forward to it!
+AnthonysCustoms Is a Hasbro Marvel Legends list planned? I know your not the biggest Hasbro fan but there are some really good figures. Thanks!
yep. i already made it. going up next week.
Great list! The only omission that really stands out for me is Man-Thing...the level of detail on that figure is just amazing...I probably would've put him in place of Cable, who was probably too short, and hasn't aged well...Also, did you keep BAFs off the list just because they're BAFs, or do you just think none made the cut? I would threw beast in the top 10 love that figure. I would take the select colossus over the toybiz one. Better sculpt and paint with great articulation. That green goblin is awesome.

5:18 I used to have that figure! But i lost it :(
Your top 3 are the only ones that still hold up IMO.
Dude, nice touch with the music at the background, it gave the video a little more of style, you should definitely use it on all of your videos.
Also, good countdown, I definitely would've put the Nightcrawler at top but still, great figures.
thanks. i did the music thing before and people didnt like it in the reviews. it works more for a structured video like this.
The new deadpool looks like it will take the place of the toy biz one on release.
Looks like it :)
They may go hand in hand.. I think Toy Biz version better as far as paint and detail but the new Hasbro 2016 version does have a better sculpt..
It came with a chimichanga!
Agreed...he looks spectacular
fotzilla it didn't :/ over hyped wasn't painted enough and the the rifle and shotgun were dumb however I did get a good laugh out the taco and basooka lol
I definitely like Ultimate Captain America.. Him and Face Off Cap still the best hands down
My first toybiz was the 90s Spiderman figure, the one with the Spiderman icon base, I think it also had articulated twipping fingers, too bad I got rid of it before I knew it's value, I also had the torn costume Spiderman, both were really good, however my first ML was Movie star Lord I love the accessories on that guy
Really want that Nightcrawler, but I can't find it for cheap anywhere. Any suggestions? Great video btw
This kicked ass! nice job!
I think that's Maestro
it is
Oh cool I didn't know if you knew tbh I wasn't 100% but anyways sweet show how many figures do you have?
thanks. around 2100 maybe. i havent checked the spreadsheets in a while.
damnnnn at $15 a piece ? how long
most are a lot more than 15/figure. how long? not sure what you mean.
Great list! My only disagreement is you didn’t add face off hulk.
ALL THESE FIGURES ARE AMAZING
Could you make a video of how you store your figures?
perhaps
The top 2 are coincidentally the only 2 that I own
Nice but Imo the best Juggernaut and Colossus figs are from Marvel Select.
Toybiz is way better than hasbro
Sanchezz046 yeah Toy biz is AMAZING (hasbro isn't that bad tbh)
I used to think Hasbro couldn't compete with Toy Biz at all, but then I realised they have actually made some figures than are better than their Toy Biz counterpart (e.g. Scarlet Witch, Rogue).
I still think Toy Biz is better though.
both have their strengths and weaknesses
ProjectX046 so true hasbro sucks dick
the KICK ARSE Aussie 3.0 uh uh uh language
I want the experimentation of toybiz back
man all of these are great also enjoyed the previous video you should do more like this!
That's the plan
Nice list. Some unexpected choices, but I like it. Love that Nightcrawler figure as well. However, unlike a lot of people, I actually like that head sculpt. Cable was kind of surprise to me as well, but again I really like that figure too. They have not made a better Cable figure than that one to date. And Green Goblin was a good choice for #1. this isnt a list based on person preference. i went for quality as the main criteria. didnt include icons or bafs on purpose btw.
great list, totally agree with u on the cap
Thanks
Just picked up the Toybiz Colossus!!!
Great list Anthony👍🏽, although Hasbro is getting better with their Legends line, I miss the good old Toybiz days, especially the price point.
Awesome list can you do a list of your personal top 10 worst
yep
No Hobgoblin, with that awesome glider. I have both the Toybiz Hob and Green-goblin and even with the recent Hasbro releases I still have these gents as my go to baddies.
theyre good for sure.
I have the cap, is it worth anything?
Awesome list but I would ad Beast in there somewhere.
A question for Anthony: do you open yout action figure or do you leave them in the blister? Thanks
+Daniele Tondelli pretty hard to make reviews and videos like these with the figures in the packaging.
+AnthonysCustoms I mean what do you think of those who do not open their action figures? I think that when you buy a figure you can enjoy the purcase by opening the blister 🙂
Looking back at what toy biz used to do on these figures. Makes me wonder why hasbro doesn't put any effort into this line.
$$$$
More like lazyness.
A top hasbro legends would be great! These figures all look really good, but I'm a newish collector and pretty much all of the toybiz figures are really expensive now.
hasbro list next week
Cool!
I'm hoping for Punisher series 4 and Captain Face Off in the list...
I totally agreed about Colossus though... Just in my opinion...
I didn't know Marvel still made any X-Men merchandise.
I agree with this list 100% 💯✔️
cool
That Colossus BOOM
I think the Select Colossus is better than the Toy Biz, but is only a thought, I can't compare them together.
And I don't have that Green Goblin, just the one of the Sinister six pack which is horrible but at least I have the original mold with the Hobgoblin :D
Face-Off Cap, War Machine, Modern Iron Man would be on my list
hey Anthony, any chance on you doing a top 10 DCUC sometime down the line?
100% chance
Just ordered a green goblin for 15 bucks new in package cant wait to get it
Was expecting series 6 Wolverine in the list. Easily my most favorite Wolverine figure. Can't wait to get the new one by Hasbro.
Can u do top 10 marvel legends of all time
nice video! I love top 10's videos, do more
ok
Good list! Are you going to do a Hasbro version?
yes
didn't expect that 1st place, great to se beta ray bill and colossus in here, those are my favorites
I'd put Astonishing Wolverine or Series 6 Wolverine on this list, depending on your preference. Series 6 Phoenix should maybe make the list as the best female figure Toy Biz ever made.
My list:
10: Galactus wave Doctor Strange
9: Sinister 6 Electro
8: Series 4 Punisher
7: Blob BAF
6: Tie between the Giant man Baf and Sentinel baf
5: Faceoff series Daredevil and Kingpin (both the variant and the original.)
4: Series 6 Deadpool
3: Tie between Faceoff series Captain America and Faceoff series Hulk (just the captain america and hulk, not the red skull and leader that comes with him)
2: Fearsome Foes Spider-man and Vulture
Honorable mentions:
Giant man wave Thor
Mojo wave Falcon
Mojo wave Green Goblin
Blob series She-Hulk
Series 8 Doc Ock
Series 2 Doctor Doom
Series 4 Beast
Beta Ray Bill
Galactus wave War Machine
Series 8 Ironman
Galactus wave Nightcrawler
And now for number 1...
I personally love Deadpool and Dan Ketch GHOST RIDER
man i was looking for that collosus today too lol
Cable should be no.1 spot
nice top 10 list i agree with your list
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
Toybiz
I ran out of time
Awesome video!
do you have reviews for all of these?
i think so...except for beta ray bill maybe. check my marvel playlist.
I would have put Brown suit Wolverine and Bullseye on here still a good list :)...
For the small amount of money put into figures today I think Hasbro does pretty good for what they have
3:08 need this figure, but still pricey asf.
you should do top ten Marvel legends BAF
series 4 punisher should be on the list!
nice list
Who's better toy biz or hasbro
Since youre almist done with PAK figures maybe you could do your top 10 PAK figures
yes
NO SERIES 4 PUNISHER!!! But still a good list.
No Wolverine VI and Ghost Riders III&VII?
Like all 10 figures, not the order though, agree that this is the beast Spiderman, darker one more. Did see pictures of the new Colossus and Juggernaught? I think the new one is better proportioned.
Please do a hasbro one
Yeah I agree with that statement to the Captain America the neck is very out of proportion and that makes the arm look like it is placed on the side of the nipple
They sort of fixed those issues with the Face-Off release, but it's still the best Cap Figure in plastic. Anthony chose the Ultimate Cap from series 8 because of paint ops. Some of the Face-Off Caps had paint issues, but if you had the chance to select the best painted Cap, the Face-Off Cap is definitely the number one Rogers on my shelf.
what the helmet is good wow Anthony the helmet is like a ice cream cone
+Chyke Estacio what?
Can you review the Beta ray bill?
i might once i run out of more contemporary figures to review.
doc ock
Thumbs up, brother! Awesome figure.
Top ten mcfarlane Halo figures, please
Can you do the top 10 best play arts Kai figures
yes
What about the Weapon-X Wolverine?
