I have since watched several of your videos since. I'm a occupational therapist but have little experience with SCI patients. FallenAngel I used the TENS machine for ejaculation/insemination at home first but it didn’t work. Not to say it can’t work because there are other couples who had success at home. My sperm numbers dropped over the years of trying so that meant IVF was our best option. If you have plenty of time give home insemination or IUI a try. Otherwise IVF will be your best option for faster results.

I have been following your page for a long time..Many times I have stopped by hoping for news that you all were expecting. I am truly happy for you both! My sister and her husband tried for 5 years to get pregnant and went into debt with the ivf etc..they never got pregnant ,but have recently adopted! However, I saw the pain and hell they went through when the procedures failed again and again... We are now fortunate to have three wonderful babies to love no matter how they got here. I am a mother and you helped me really see how much I take my life for granted. My partner and I got pregnant incredibly easily and quickly and our son is now 2 years old. It didn't cost us 10's of thousands of dollars or the heartache and stress I'm sure you and your wife had to face on your journey. I have been wondering how things were going for you guys. I am sorry to hear that last year was rough, but very happy to hear your great news! You are going to love being a father. You will be a great one at that too! I can just tell. I was injured after my kids (16, 13, 10) were grown up. But I often think about the future and how I would deal with taking care of my grandkids. I know you will figure it out and be a great husband and dad. You probably will want to help as much as possible. I know that there are SCI dads out there that have gone through it. But with everything you’ve shown me tells me you’re going to figure out how help feed, change and care for your baby girl. Please keep us posted on everything and congratulations again!!!

Really happy for you, so excited for you & your wife! I don't have SCI, but have a few thoughts since you asked. I did have mobility/muscles issues when my 3 children were babies, but my chair is more recent. I put casters on the bottom of some big baskets to reach things easier like diapers, books, a few toys etc. I got a rolling cart too. I find wheels on other things help when you need to be quick and need easy access to supplies. I'm less likely to loose balance grabbing something that rolls, instead of trying to lift it. Babies & little kids love my chair. I used to sit on the floor or couch with my babies, with lots of things I needed close at hand. When my kids were newborns, I had a carrier to strap the baby to me, so my kids were close & safe, yet my hands were free. I had one toddler I kept in overalls so I could reach out & grab their straps if I needed to catch them fast. There's some pretty cool looking stuff like carriers you can attach to your chair. Before long you'll be giving us great tips on parenting in a chair. Congrats!

Wow, wonderful news! Congratulations! I was really hoping for that to happen to you during the last year and was always checking your channel. Advice ... let's see: 1.) Precook as much as you can before the baby is due. Although they hardly do more than drink and sleep you feel like you had no time for nothing. 2.) Accept any help that you are offered - there will be times when everybody is exhausted and cleaning the house is NOT important than, no matter what it looks like. 3.) I don't know the US health system. Here (Germany) when you leave the hospital a midwife comes to your house to give advice and show you how to handle the baby, how to bath and change it, to help with breastfeeding in the beginning etc. Because breastfeeding is not as easy as it looks like - both have to learn it. So here the midwife comes every day for about a week, later once or twice a week as long as you need her. If possible use that opportunity, it's extremely helpful. 4.) Don't expect every day to be heaven on earth :-). There will be days when you ask yourself "What have we done?! We once had a life!". That's normal, you'll get over it and it does not make you bad parents. But most of the time you'll enjoy your little sunshine. 5.) Don't pay too much for clothes, stroller etc. They grow so soon, most of the things you just need a few months. Second hand is the best choice. Do you have special flee markets for children's stuff. Go there! I am sure there is more but I am writing with one hand with my (second) baby in my arms ;- ).
Man wow I found this on April fools day 2018 so y'all are around 4 months in CONGRATULATIONS my oldest is a August 28th baby she was and is a blessing 16 now we have 3 all together anyway again CONGRATULATIONS blessings and keep us updated lol

Right now my husband uses a boppy pillow to hold him, I would definitely invest in that. We also use a baby carrier and that worked too. I have seen accessible cribs that will work if you have hand and finger mobility. Nights are hard on me because it is only me getting up so be as supportive as possible to your wife. Check with her delivery hospital about any accommodations they can do for you also. Our nurses were really helpful but my poor husband spent the entire stay in his chair.

After seeing the title of this video I just had to watch it. So happy your and your wife are having a little baby (girl). Your support and I hope your faith has given you this miracle child. I have two grown adult son's, no daughter. But you get what you get right? I will stop viewing your site for a bit. I'm looking for work and need to move ASAP. Will get back on track when I'm re-situated. I wish I had money to help but I'm not working and things are tough. However your video has given me some inspiration and a sense of responsibility to do what I can for myself at this time. What I can share is a little love from me to you and your family. One tip, when she can walk and y'all go somewhere, a backpack with a leash is helpful since we can't run and grab them if they run out in the street, etc.

Wow, wonderful news! Congratulations! I was really hoping for that to happen to you during the last year and was always checking your channel.
Advice ... let's see:
1.) Precook as much as you can before the baby is due. Although they hardly do more than drink and sleep you feel like you had no time for nothing.
2.) Accept any help that you are offered - there will be times when everybody is exhausted and cleaning the house is NOT important than, no matter what it looks like.
3.) I don't know the US health system. Here (Germany) when you leave the hospital a midwife comes to your house to give advice and show you how to handle the baby, how to bath and change it, to help with breastfeeding in the beginning etc. Because breastfeeding is not as easy as it looks like - both have to learn it. So here the midwife comes every day for about a week, later once or twice a week as long as you need her. If possible use that opportunity, it's extremely helpful.
4.) Don't expect every day to be heaven on earth :-). There will be days when you ask yourself "What have we done?! We once had a life!". That's normal, you'll get over it and it does not make you bad parents. But most of the time you'll enjoy your little sunshine.
5.) Don't pay too much for clothes, stroller etc. They grow so soon, most of the things you just need a few months. Second hand is the best choice. Do you have special flee markets for children's stuff. Go there!
I am sure there is more but I am writing with one hand with my (second) baby in my arms ;- ).

Man wow I found this on April fools day 2018 so y'all are around 4 months in CONGRATULATIONS my oldest is a August 28th baby she was and is a blessing 16 now we have 3 all together anyway again CONGRATULATIONS blessings and keep us updated lol

Right now my husband uses a boppy pillow to hold him, I would definitely invest in that. We also use a baby carrier and that worked too. I have seen accessible cribs that will work if you have hand and finger mobility. Nights are hard on me because it is only me getting up so be as supportive as possible to your wife. Check with her delivery hospital about any accommodations they can do for you also. Our nurses were really helpful but my poor husband spent the entire stay in his chair.
