Dave, can you do a video on what the farm bill is? I’m very interested to hear about it from the perspective of a small farmer. Been in the news all over the place with this government shut down.
@@Beau23608 I definitely give my opinion. I'm not that involved or follow what is available through the USDA/FSA but can share from what I've experienced and my understandings.
@@smallenginetinkerer225 next video I'll show what broke. Major enough it'll be a new starter. I usually go down to Martin Starter down by Green Hill Farms
New Holland parts pricing is completely insane and what I need is as much as a brand new starter. A starter shop probably is cheaper but I doubt the savings any better than a remanufactured prices one.
roll the engine by hand and see if it works my ls180 did the same thing and it was the ring gear on the fly wheel I bet it is the same thing on yours roll the engine a 1/4 turn and hit the switch I bet it rolls over engines will always stop in 1 of 3 positions and the teeth on the ring gear take a hammering in those spots this is so common my dealer had 5 ring gears in stock
@NorthEastOhio WOW. Yesterday you're begging for forgiveness for making a similar comment and today you're here being an ass again. I know the failure I am but everything I have I worked and paid for. Your opinion might mean something if anything you operate you paid for and not daddy. This is the last I'm going to tolerate your bipolar attitude, next time your blocked.

Hard to be a one man show farmer, sometimes it’s rough. Good information vid.
Having help is always nice and would have helped here but quite often doing it yourself is faster. 🤣🤣
*Sounds like the solenoid or Bendix. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.*
I wish it was. More in the next video.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Erie alternator and battery, does very good work and not expensive, will rebuild it for you

I hear they are good also, sorry you couldn't fix the starter

Merry Christmas
@@Thomasfarmstn Thanks
Merry Christmas and hopefully we'll finally have a prosperous New Year
I think you just get the whole aftermarket. It's not 200. Don't forget to unhook the battery ground
I always take both cables off
Good information to know. Hopefully I will never have to use it🤞🤞
Never hurts to learn new tricks to make things easier.
That sure is good to know👍
Sure made it easier

@@hillcresthayfarms9664 that was a concern I had, but the problem is in the starter. Next video will show what broke
Keep up the good work
All you can do is plug away hoping to get ahead someday. 😂
How can you guys not watch his channel without saying, his farm is a disaster

You have to get creative when you’re a one- man band
Baling twine, ratchet straps, zip ties, jacks, and blocking solve a lot of problems when working alone.
