Nov 2022: All new users wanting to play this game. Unfortunately RUclips removed my tutorial video. So to install; Download all files and pop them into a new folder on your desktop. - run the exe (part 1) And install to your preferred location. Once that is done go to where you installed the game, and open settings.exe so you can configure your controller. Once that is done, you can now play the game! To select stadiums, balls etc you must be on the kit selection screen and press select on your controller. 0-9 should be the buttons to change your selections. To the people asking me for the link, it’s in the description. You MUST created an account to access this. It’s best to go through this way as the game has different versions/updates and you can report any bugs to the creator.
Me and my 2 mates still play this game religiously! Still by far my favourite football game of all time. They just seemed to nail everything. The balance between fun and realism is perfect!
I agree mate, there’s not a lot that separates PES 5 & 6, there’s a slight difference in the AI... But the era of football that PES 5 represents is a reason why I prefer it to PES 6

Pro Evolution Soccer 2005, was the shit. and still is, no one else then konami made a better soccer game. also 2005 contained the best players in the world to be ever witnessed before everyone got retired oh didn't make it due to their problems irl. now a days, football is not the same. just nowhere near.
Ok, PES 5 was and still is the greatest football game ever made, perfectly balanced game, I still play it on Xbox 360 which gives me some better graphical display than PS2 version. I understand this patch etc is on PC. Everything comes in this patch, you do not need the worlds best pc to run it! The specs for the original game is very old. I have a PES 6 install tutorial on my channel. The same applies to PES 5 on how it’s installed :)

But when the match is over, the screen goes dark to load a cutscene to receive the trophy I guess, and the game crashs and close. :( Do you think can fix this problem? @@newrules- PES 5 has less fouls when you master it. You should not press like crazy but think a bit more. In PES 6, on the other hand, it's even possibile to play a game without fouls at all.
Camaldinho that’s a pretty helpful patch. Most of them don’t do that. But which one do you use. Because there’s loads of patches and they all say pes 6.
If you’re looking through the forum of patches majority of them are for PES 6, there are some for PES 5 but not a lot. Any patch already comes from that forum includes a resolution modifier for all PES 5&6 games

The only bad thing about this patch is the game speed they took from the original pes 5, unfortunately it's kind of easy, in the original the opponent attacks with more players and the game is much faster, dynamic and difficult.
@@aLe-be2fq set the speed in speeder.cfg to be 1.0 to have the original speed. If you want it faster you could try 1.01 for example. There is also the ELAF AI tool which makes the attacking even better.

Camaldinho hi, I have tried this and it is still greyed out saying game choice. I have tried every key on my keyboard. Do I have to transfer the seperate stadium file (4.5 fb) to a specific file in the file location?
For example the file I have downloaded says stadiums.LZ ... I have saved it and made a new folder within the GDB folder titled stadiums ... still isn’t working :(

@@Camaldinho Thank you that worked. One more thing - has anyone came across that "issue" that game does not start in full screen? I have windows 10 and nvidia GPU. Tried to set both 1080p and 1440p resolution in the kload.cfg but it remains that same. Also when I made a shortcut to executable and set it to run as maximised result is still that game launches in window and I got to press alt + enter to make it full screen.

So to install;

It means you don’t need a copy of the game to run the patch. It’s a full game with the patch installed

aa, sorted the full screnn - make sure you run in compatibility mode with XP SP3 and mark option run as admin
