What do you think about rice digs? I've been doing them for a few months now as a warm up and it has saved my wrists from feeling discomfort the next day.
You can definitely run it throuhg hot water if you'd like but this can help to also warm up the fingers if you perform all the exercises. you can add the water on top of that :)

I also use this for when I play bass and its amazing I can see a night and day difference after doing it
