You need to go to Mansfield Town FC in league 1 they have pies that are made at a local butchers before being transported to the stadium. They are amazing tasting and worth every penny
As a vegetarian I was glued to this video. Great that the non-League sides did so well. Ran the line at Altrincham so pleased that they did well. Nice club. Well run. And good people.
Do a series in Scotland on football food. Abroath smokies - smoked haddock Bridie - partly with meat and onion Scotch Pie - minced meat Buck fast Pie - Beef soaked in buckfast in pastry Killie Pie - steak in a pie with immense gravy Killie Pie is only valuable at Kilmarnock fc though but it a game changer folks
You can buy killie pies now in lidl and aldi. It's from the same bakers who make the ones for the football team brownings. I came across an actual brownings bakers shop somewhere in Stewarton down in Ayrshire when I was passing through years ago. Just like a far better version of greggs.
FC United is one of several clubs I enjoy following, alongside City of Liverpool and Dial Square FC, for being founded as a way to bring the vibe of a big club's fanbase to supporters who can't necessarily afford your typical Premier League ticket prices. Power to the people! (And let me know if there's one of those for Chelsea fans...)
It might be interesting to repeat the process as an away fan. My worst experience was at Southend. Their pies were the usual Pukka Pie. It was almost as if it had been cooked 3 hours before kick-off then kept on a hot plate as the base was so hard it nearly broke a tooth while the the rest was chewy.
Another brilliant Vlog Ryan & Jade. Again what a great subject. Love the sense of humor as always. Well presented and captured. Very close to a supporters heart a good pie. I saw the mushy pease with them too, looked comforting food to me. Oh dear Salforf City, Stoke m&p & Man City👎 Well Done Thank You for sharing
You've guys got yourselves a new subscriber! Cheers from NYC! Sadly, the times I've been in England were all before I started actively following football (last time, 2019 when I was studying abroad, I was getting there - my first purchase in London was a Chelsea mug, to the skepticism of the shopkeeper who was clearly an Arsenal fan lol), but I HAVE tried pies...albeit, vegetarian ones, because I am one and I am lame (they're from an amazing place that was in the Camden Stalls, no idea what the name is but I still fantasize about their pies).
i always enjoy the lower league food so much me and my boyfriend love investigating what food they have. we went to one near kendal and this lovely old lady offered us her homemade curry over chips for £4 in an actual bowl it was amazing. especially the pie, chips gravy and peas meal at chorley FC so cheap and super yum their pie provider is brilliant!!
I see you didn't stray too far outside of Greater Manchester 😂😂. In Altrincham's defence, they were the only ones to give you chips. So long as the weather improves I should be going to Alty on Tuesday but I plan on going to the award winning chippy across the road.
First time watching, great vid! Subscribed half way through this is top! thought Jane was the young lass who was on big brother recently & thought the fella was a Gallagher, top combo 👍🏽
As a southerner I really can't understand the fascination with mushy peas, and as for making chips soft by putting gravy on them...definitely not for me, but who is to judge. Perhaps you could try a comparison between teams in other parts of the country, having concentrated on the north west for this vlog, maybe head to the west country and try the vegan pies at Forest Green or go to Farnham Town in Surrey who have a reputation for great food. I think the prawn reference at FC United is in relation to what were called the prawn sandwich brigade at Old Trafford, who probably turned up for the food in hospitality as much as the footy.
Wycombe Wanderers used to have good pies 6 years ago. They just used Pukka Pies with All Steak and Chicken Balti available. Not sure if it’s still like that, I hope so! The rest of the food is naff but if you only care about pies, I think you’ll be alright there. Do try Beechdean Ice Cream though, it’s native to the area and quite nice!
Chicken n ham Stockport best pie's in the league (made by Northern pie Co) although not tried Wigans yet would of thought it would be a point of pride there would been my first destination
Great video . Somehow I suspect fans everywhere were not surprised at the results . Grass roots way out scoring bigger leagues that charge more for less quality …. Further demonstrating the disconnect premier league and championship clubs have with their fans .
The best pie Ive ever had at a football match was at Goole AFC , it was made by the local butcher in a very large stainless steel tin and tasted out of this world made with beef skirting, however the best food for variety is severed in The Northern Premier League West Division at AVRO. mind you we do a cracking pie down at Leek Town
The chicken balti pies at Stoke are one of the main reasons I'm still going every week. I'm not a massive meat and potato fan but that pie you got looks nothing like the normal. I'm convinced you've got a rouge pie there.
For your next video go to a bunch of non-league Manchester Clubs good luck trying to go to Ashton Uniteds and Curzon Ashtons in 6 days if you were to do this though 😂 one of yous would have to go separately though 👀
Should have had the chicken balti pie at the etihad thats the one we all love plus a company called bowens pies make citys pies and they’re expensive on their own
20:10 hahaha pinnacle of football that's funny 😂. You should try havant and waterlooville I haven't tried it but I know peopel who say it's very good and their in a low league.
The meat and potatoes pies at Anfield are lovely. Every time I go up I eat one or two in the ground and buy about four to take home for me and the missus. We live in South Wales so I take them home so my missus can try them. We love them so I always bring some home for the missus.
It's £8 for a pie and chips at celtic park, which is pretty expensive in my eyes, especially in a 60000 seater stadium that's usually close to capacity for just about every home league game, and a club who play champions league football. I think the wee clubs have more of a right to charge higher for their concession stand grub, because it actually makes a difference to their finances, but in the uk teams like Celtic and Rangers, and premier league and championship clubs in England are taking the piss with the inflated prices.
I feel ripped off paying £8 for a pie and chips at celtic park lol, plus the pies are pretty crap. I don't think clubs in the English prem, championship and Celtic and Rangers should be charging such high prices, because the concession stands profits are probably a drop in the ocean really. I'd more than happily pay over the odds at a smaller club, because they actually benefit from the sales. Clubs getting big TV deals like in England or celtic and Rangers who play European football and have 60000 and 50000 capacity stadiums that are always 95% full minimum for league games are just taking the piss in my eyes.
Not to be biased as a County fan but everyone raves about the pies at Stockport. I don't always get a pie at the game but they're so nice I want more than one each time 🤣
Balti pie with curry sauce...wtf is that all about! Also, not sure why anyone goes for meat n tater, it's so bland. Where as a good steak pie, with chips, peas and gravy is a combination made in heaven😋
Saying Bolton had local pies when the one you had in Warrington was also from a local pies shop. Like the concept of the vid but the standard of research about the actual pies was lacking.
Not my team, but when I visited Halesowen I had their award winning pies they source from the local butcher. The curry sauce they have at the ground was from a local I dian restaurant.
Liverpool FC, Derby County, Wigan Athletic, Accrington Stanley, Altrincham, Chorley FC, Warrington Rylands and Wythenshawe Town FC would have been a far better pie route.
I know its not football but my rugby union team has the best pie, peas and chips in the league. We are in the national league 2 north with is equivalent to league two in football. Our pie is called "Bob's famous Steak pie ". The club is Hull Ionians. Please come and taste it. Ill give you more info if u need .
You need to go to Mansfield Town FC in league 1 they have pies that are made at a local butchers before being transported to the stadium. They are amazing tasting and worth every penny
As a Stags fan, my gosh, their pies are beautiful! I would recommend trying them out!
stag s are going up ole ole
Totally agree Mansfield pies the best I have tasted. Had the lamb and leak. Looks like they get worse the higher up the football pyramid you go.
This is the most British video I have ever watched, I loved this video need a part 2 👍🏻

7:42 I saw you there😂 I was like I’m sure that’s live the dash 😅
Stockport county pies are second to none 👏🏻
There really great!
As they were seeming to be sticking round Greater Manchester I thought they would end up at Edgeley Park.
I have to to recommend Mansfield Town FC as an away fan I've never had a bad pie when visiting
I gotta agree with you. Their pies are delicious 💯
If you fancy making this international, come to Scotland. The pies at Kilmarnock FC are supposed to be the best in the country.

Thanks again Clive
I’d highly recommend Stockport County, they offer mushy peas, gravy (& mash I think). Even better still they use a local company.
Very solid recommendation. The 2nd person today in fact. They must be good.
@@LiveTheDash they are incredible. Stockport fan here

I'm from Glasgow and we don't do mushy peas with pies either, but pie and beans or garden peas is pretty common in old school shops.
