That's what I think too. In terms of whether you get a gobblegum occurrence at the end of any given round and which gobblegum(s) you get, I think it's all percentage-based and your performance doesn't actually matter. Then the current "2x gobblegum rate" event just doubles the percentage chance of getting a gobblegum occurrence without raising the odds of rarer ones. Maybe in the future they might also do "rate up" events that don't raise the occurrence chance but instead make rarer gobblegums appear at a higher rate.
Wow finally someone with some common sense! It’s not that complicated to understand it’s a randomized gobble gum you’ll get with a higher percent chance to get a blue than an ultra gobble gum. There is no tracking something that is completely random. It’s amazing how people avoid thinking and just make things difficult because they avoid thinking. Milo explained this quite well. It's basically a hidden currency system in game that picks when you get your gums and what gums you get. There's common and uncommon within each rarity as well. It's an interesting system.
From my newest findings, that's completely wrong. I've seen no one else provide any evidence, so I'm working on my biggest study yet... :/ gotta lot of numbers, but.. I think I'm onto how it ACTUALLY works!
@Doughnuts How much numbers do you have, I know MrRoflWaffles did provide whimsical numbers at the very least. that being dependent on the round you exfil. Though I'm interested to see what you've got. I'm though one thing did line up on both what you said and what he said is that you see higher rarity gobblegums in higher rounds more often.
@Quackra Treyarch confirmed the whimsical gums before the game launched. No one has any evidence for why gums drop or when .. saying it's a "hidden value" is just another way of saying we don't know lol. I have about 12 games, 52 drops, 66 total gums all analyzed, but I'm currently getting a much better sample size to see it from all angles. Will be releasing a video within the coming weeks!
I think the rarity of gum is random. I think the frequency of reciving them is mostly round based with maybe bonus gums for hitting a certain number of points or some other hidden requirement and then the gum is rewarded at the start of the next round. Or Yoy might get 1 to 3 gums randomly but with chances skewed towards one being more likely then two and two being more likely then three. Something like that
What I think you can take into account is that it might not be individual gameplay for earnings as when playing with friends we all get same gobblegums at same time so might be more time based as a group or objective base
maybe they made it genuinely random this time around, cus a lot of games try and fake random chance when doing this gacha kind of system but if there's not much correlation in when it happens then maybe it's just setting an in-match timer to a random number of minutes until you get another one
It seems about as purely random as it can be possibly. Obviously even in a game nothing can be truly random kinda like how in some games you can manipulate your odds based off time, because some devs poorly code their RNG Front based of time rather than some basic strings to do it for them. There will be someway to manipulate the odds that gets found later on, but it probably will be a negligible difference as if you were earning them normally, cause compared to other things for example, Wuthering Waves Echomancy, which is an apparent manipulation of sub stat rolls based off time, is because the devs used a string of code than randomizes the chances of what substat is likely to roll at a specific time. But with the gobblegums here, everything seems to be accounted for. Its most likely not time based, its most likely not round based, because I had a game where I went 20 rounds without a single gobblegum spin. So there's a lot of leading theories on HOW it could work, but as to if it is the actual way its done is hard to say.
I think that when you use gobblegums up in game it has something to do with the earn rates as well as sort of a balance to make sure people always have at least some gobblegums to use no matter what they may be though. I noticed because I always seem to get more gobblegums in the games I use more gums in than in the games I use less or don’t use any in.

Hey doughnut I used your ASG Shotgun build for liberty falls and i did the Easter egg solo with it! Thank you for your guide I failed so many times cause I rushed it lmao😂
The most recent 2xGG has shown us how it works. At the end of the round, there is a chance to gain gobblegums. Its just simply a percentage chance. With a big enough sample size we can take the chance of getting GGs on each round and average it across all of the rounds. I've had instances of getting gobbles at the end of round 1 Another thing to note for the sake of testing, technically you gain it at the end of the round. But chances are that by the time you see the prompt for getting GG, the round counter will already report the next round. So we need to make the distinction of what round its recorded as If I was to make an educated guess, the drop chance is around 10% per round. With rampage inducer reducing this EDIT: Alot of people dont realise that you unlock gobble gum packs at certain levels. That could explain any links to player rank
I made a note of a few of my gains in my current high round run from what I managed to clip. Here's what I got (spoiler: doesn't seem to be a high chance of getting Ultra rares). Round 90: Anywhere but here 95: arsenal accelerator 99: temporal gift 104: profit sharing 105: who's keeping score 107: phoenix up 112: killjoy
I feel like it could be xp based, like bo4, where the faster you gain xp, the faster you earn gums. I notice when I go through rounds faster, I get a lot more, up to about round 25 where it falls off. But if i go through the same amount of rounds slower, i get a lot less
The double gum drops are crazy i got 6 gums in total on round 11 with 2 perkas. it's crazy. To add, I think it might be medal/challenge based cause the more camos I got, the more gums I got. I got 2 camos and a weapon level or 2 the round before the gums dropped for reference
I'd guess there's a base chance at the end of a round to get it. The chance likely increases with time, xp and/or rounds completed, resetting to base after a drop.
What if you switch to a new gun and get a bunch of fresh xp. Add a bunch of low level attachments, sight with no reticle unlocks etc.. Use cryo or another ammo mod that you normally dont use. Use uncommon scorestreaks. Pick up and throw every tac and lethal you find asap. Since those gain xp faster since you dont have them leveled up, calculate the xp amounts in between getting gobblegums and see if it has an impact on which ones you unlock. There doesnt seem to be a reason to the timing/how often vs which rarity you get. Maybe its how much xp per time period gives you a boosted chance of higher amounts. Maybe check to see if theres a difference per map you play or if completing easter egg steps or boss fights has any effect on qty or rarity
I kinda got the sense it was RNJeezus all the way from when you get them to how many. Gob drops every so often and maybe it'll be 1 maybe it'll be 3. I've gotten double yellows on round 6 and a single blue on round 46.
Okay so total the total numer of rounds changed and total occurances of drops and that will bring you to a percentage or average rounds per hit. Also the percenatage of getting one two or three at a time would be usefull
Unfortunately, I can’t help you with gobble gums, cause I don’t really enjoy using them. But I would like to ask you to do the same thing on a mystery box. Before I only played BO 1, 2 and 3. And I feel like here box works differently. Especially because of the rarities. I want to know if there is even a point in spinning it. Right now I just load in with an AR, buy sally and forth, PAP it and build Jet Gun. It feels like the odds of getting ray gun early rounds are lower
Hello ! I’m French sorry for my bad ortographe, ive Watchted in my game an certain occurence coming with the challenge with the sam machine. When i do the challenge i’m pretty sure 2-3 round after i’m getting gobblegum gift. I don’t know if it’s relative to the xp but i’m pretty sure when i do a lot of stuff in my rounds 1-2 round after i’m gonna get the gobblegum gift. It seems as wel that you don’t have to go further round 39. You don’t have more luck to get ultra rare GG. It’s completely random. The thing we have to find is how to trigger the GG gift. I’ve been to round 51 and i get only bad GG commun. You have to check for the amount of point between 3 round i thing.
Watching this as I speak on round 7 I just got my second occurrence, first one happened in round 5. I honestly think it's just RNG and you have a small chance for an occurrence to happen every round completed
@Doughnuts it showed up for me as if I got any other gobblegum. I was just playing directed mode in Liberty Falls and grinding out the camos when I noticed it after the round ended. I have never exfilled in the directed mode. My game would crash before I hit 2 hours of play time. I wish I saved a screenshot. Maybe I'll get lucky and snap a screenshot next time.
Couldn't it just be as simple as percentages? Like every round you have a 1% chance of getting a gum, and that percentage increases slightly with each round. It's also possible you get a much higher chance at certain rounds (like 50% at round 7 or 8). That way you're almost guaranteed at least one gum per game without getting like 20 gums in a single game.
The interface bothers me. You have to push right, and if you have 3 gums you go up and down. Well the thing is if you have a score streak, you will activate it accidentally trying to navigate down to the bottom gobblegum because pushing down on the thumb pad is for scorestreaks.
I feel like gg are like liquid divinium in bo3: 1- What round are you on 2- how many total points have u obtained so far in that game 3- how much time have u spent on that specific game And i feel like when u throw rampage on, it changes
The rampage inducer seems to affect everything. Even where you melee the vending machine in liberty falls. i get better stuff with the rampage inducer it seems.

We both got screwed . I got 3 hidden powers in one pop up. Played to round 29 and tried to save. Said " unknown error has caused save to fail" so I went 2 more rounds and exfiilled. Checked my gums in lobby and no hidden power gums at all.
I feel like this is semi player rank based. I think only Gobblegums drop, that you can use with your rank. I've noticed when i started playing, i was not getting any Gobblegums until i was somewhere around Level 20 because that's where you start unlocking gobblegums
I am completely confused on how the gobblegum system works. While playing zombies I always see that I'm awarded some type of gobblegum but then I don't know where it goes or how to use it. I'm even confused at the beginning of the game on how to edit them into my loadout.
What I believe is going on is you can tell the games still very buggy with the the whole level showing as level one to others and so on so they probably are meant to be better the further in you go but mabye a slimmer chance but the codes still all jumbled around cause they might of been rushing to reach the deadline
Based off how it feels (haven’t ran any numbers) I barely got gums on EE runs and when I’m just flipping rounds or grinding camos I’m getting awarded every 15ish minutes. I didn’t read what vault edition gives as a gobble gum reward but I did get it and maybe that factors in in awarding players more for spending more money?
On the subject of the Whimsicals not showing up on the post game screen. Unlike Cold War there is no match bonus? So it either is there and just not showing or we are not getting one at all

The double gum drops are crazy i got 6 gums in total on round 11 with 2 perkas. it's crazy. To add, I think it might be medal/challenge based cause the more camos I got, the more gums I got. I got 2 camos and a weapon level or 2 the round before the gums dropped for reference
I can confirm that I had gobblegums when I level up or get an "achievement", like melee kills.
That's your gums you get when you rank up, after you go through the first prestige you won't get those anymore
I'd guess there's a base chance at the end of a round to get it. The chance likely increases with time, xp and/or rounds completed, resetting to base after a drop.
It feels so random I had a round 110 game didn't get a single ultra, most of the ultra gobblegums I got are from round 12 to 25 and I have 20 of them.
My theory is that there is a stacking round based percentage chance that you will have a chance to get gums
I love your in depth analysis here! I was wondering do the sam trials award XP?
Also the percenatage of getting one two or three at a time would be usefull
my brain just farted, i am here for answers but now i have more questions thx!
i thought it was based off of how much essence you spend in game the more you spend the more gums you can earn
Not sure if the new update changed things about earning gobblegums, but I just got a Whimsical gum playing directed mode at round 15 in Liberty Falls.
Like, it showed up for you? Or you saw it after you exfiled?
Had a hacker on the first day give me max of all the gobblegums. Gonna save em for a rainy day
I absolutely love your channel im glad i subscribed. Also im on the road to Nebula. I was able to get Dark Aether so i believe i can do this.
Insanity, that’s what this game creates , just like rictofen, he crazy and so are we
I love it lol
Rampage inducer = more gobblegums
When I play with friends we always get a spin at the same time. It seems like it really is just completely random.
The interface bothers me. You have to push right, and if you have 3 gums you go up and down. Well the thing is if you have a score streak, you will activate it accidentally trying to navigate down to the bottom gobblegum because pushing down on the thumb pad is for scorestreaks.
I like random because I don’t have to sweat to get the fun gums. But I wouldn’t mind if there was also milestone based rewards
TLDR; play game, get gum
Also drop the 8 hour film of minimum edited bo6 gameplay! I could probably fall asleep to that
At round 100 you get at least one red gum, on terminus gave me 2 red ones and on liberty 1. Not sure if it's always like this but possibly
I feel like gg are like liquid divinium in bo3:
1- What round are you on
2- how many total points have u obtained so far in that game
3- how much time have u spent on that specific game
And i feel like when u throw rampage on, it changes
I forgot: how much money have u spent on that game? (Bo3 shadows of evil, get to round 7 asap, start buying everything at round 7)
The rampage inducer seems to affect everything. Even where you melee the vending machine in liberty falls. i get better stuff with the rampage inducer it seems.
dev here: your prediction seems totaly reasonnable from my perspectiv (juste seen few of your vids... havn't the time to fill a spread sheet (and i play for fun, not to reminder me my full time time job) but i have same feeling than you espect (and i play with a dev point of view, to maximize my playtime) specialy on your vid for augmentations: (and i was starting by just upgrading the minimum every things) it seems to be longer for last upgrades... etc... so: plz continue your work for ppl like me that cares about optimising playtime... :D thx
Can you share your spreadsheet so I can add my data to share?? If we get more people adding there own maybe we can get better insight. Half to say your always doing above and beyond, thanks I did same thing back when I had time.
It's in the description!
If it's time + XP gated, I wonder if the past weekend was actually double earn rate or if it was just an effect of 2XP they capitalised on on marketing...
Any chance of getting a breakdown on certain attachments, specifically those that increase head shot damage snd suppressors
1000% coming! Assignments too!
Play a match without killing, just running around, that way you get another data "does obtained XP affects the chances of getting a gobblegum roulette?"
Believe it or not, I sort of did that...
Bobblegums
RNGesus decides on how many.
Its 2x gobblegum weekend so any data you gather this weekend could be skewed
@@thalassius still very valuable data. Just separate it from the base 1x multiplier.
At 3:00 you are interpreting the data incorrectly
There is not taper, it appears more to be a random distribution
Did i see you get the deadshot ee with an LMG?! I thought it was only snipers?!
At least i couldn't trigger it with an AR.
I had a pop up saying I got 2 Wonderbar, but at my pack screen it says only 1. Not sure if a visual glitch on the pop up or if I just got screwed
We both got screwed . I got 3 hidden powers in one pop up. Played to round 29 and tried to save. Said " unknown error has caused save to fail" so I went 2 more rounds and exfiilled. Checked my gums in lobby and no hidden power gums at all.
I could not give you an idea, there was one time I got a gobblegum 3 rounds in a row before; so i havent th slightest
Also has anyone noticed it's 2xgobblegums but at times I was rewarded one gum was that a half a gum made one
Got a stock option round 43 :/
I feel like this is semi player rank based. I think only Gobblegums drop, that you can use with your rank.
I've noticed when i started playing, i was not getting any Gobblegums until i was somewhere around Level 20 because that's where you start unlocking gobblegums
I got a perkaholic at level 25 so I dont.tjink that's it
I am completely confused on how the gobblegum system works. While playing zombies I always see that I'm awarded some type of gobblegum but then I don't know where it goes or how to use it. I'm even confused at the beginning of the game on how to edit them into my loadout.
What I believe is going on is you can tell the games still very buggy with the the whole level showing as level one to others and so on so they probably are meant to be better the further in you go but mabye a slimmer chance but the codes still all jumbled around cause they might of been rushing to reach the deadline
fun fact, the gobblegum roller pop up doesn't show on xbox one or ps4 after round 5
Ive gotten 3 gobblegums on round 2 earlier today and then another gobblegum 2 rounds later
Based off how it feels (haven’t ran any numbers) I barely got gums on EE runs and when I’m just flipping rounds or grinding camos I’m getting awarded every 15ish minutes. I didn’t read what vault edition gives as a gobble gum reward but I did get it and maybe that factors in in awarding players more for spending more money?
try to force quit games vs playing games consecutively to try to reset a clock
On the subject of the Whimsicals not showing up on the post game screen. Unlike Cold War there is no match bonus? So it either is there and just not showing or we are not getting one at all
I got a Wunderbaar(?) On round 2 the other day and it shook me
I love that my first gobble on bo6 i got a perkaholic
Doing God's work my man!
Ive earned a total of 4 ultras from playing so far, and all of them were near death experience...i could be wrong but i heard it doesnt work like it did in bo3 and wont rez you if youre solo, which sucks cuz i play mostly solo
