A general rule of thumb I use for the chf barrel is, if it’s above around 7% I’ll use it and it starts becoming significant then and range or bullet velocity isn’t much of a factor in zombies. Otherwise I’ll just not use a barrel at all and use an attachment elsewhere tbh
what other attachment do you use? Was updating my loadout to the AK after i got the purple tiger... the recoil on that one is more than id prefer so id like to chose something else but honestly there wasnt anything that sounded interesting in the laser category. maybe i need to look for more donut vids on the laser attachments
@ if you’re looking for something to use in the laser category and you’re on console then I’d recommend the Strelok laser, it’s very underrated as it gives near perfect accuracy in ads transition (aim down sights) and paired with deadshot you can just ads snap to zombies heads while full auto firing with perfect accuracy. Even if you’re not needing headshot camos it’s great just to kill zombies faster.

what of the SVD by chance? any idea also damn man why the heck do they the few attachments with actual tradeoffs and unique play absolutely nothing. lmao
Purely anecdotal, but i feel like there are situations throughout a game, as the rounds progress, where having the CHF barrel on your gun can help you one shot zombies longer than you would without it. I would be curious if you had data on how many rounds CHF couls extend your one shot kill potential in early rounds.
This has been my thought as well. The one shot kill might just squeek some guns into one higher round. That would be gun specific of course. There would also be the small chance after a rarity upgrade or PAP that you might require to shots to kill instead of 3, 15 instead of 16. Obviously the higher the rounds, the less one bullet makes a difference. Would have to be tested individually for each gun as well. Interesting idea though, I like to think it gives me an edge.
Agree. I would also most people don't play till round 50. I go to 25 to 30 and then ex-fill. Also worth mentioning the recoil increases that come with the chf barrel.
Not mentioned is the fact that the CHF barrel has the most negative affect on recoil of any gun attachment. Therefore, it is that much harder to consistently get those headshots in the first place. For this reason, I only consider CHF barrel if it has the equivalent of deadshot daiquiri as a minimum headshot damage gain (10%)
I’d say CHF is probably still the ideal choice to use. No matter what, it’s a free damage increase compared to other basically completely negligible stats. It’s not like shooting a gun in zombies is particularly hard either. Plus, if you account for moment where you aren’t hitting 100% headshots, there is more than likely thousands of different combinatorics outcomes for damage cases that aren’t worth evaluating. At the end of the day, more damage means more damage means more cases where you’re shooting fewer bullets.
That's a good point, but when you're able to equip a long barrel and do more damage to the Easter egg bosses. I'd choose that over CHF or no attachment
Tbh I'm probably not gonna use it. 1 bullet isn't going to make guns more usable at high rounds. Id rather just not have the increased recoil and have a laser that hits its shots easier. Balance is horrible in this game past round 30 bro the devs don't like high rounders.
The recoil increases are significant with the chf barrel, and if I can be more accurate without the barrel, hit more headshots, waste less bullets, i think i'm better off.
It definitely doesn’t feel like it was made for multiplayer a lot of times it doesn’t even remove one bullet to the ttk and just jacks up the recoil, most of the time you’d be better off with long or reinforced barrel in multiplayer. Zombies it feels abit more useful the best thing I can say about it is that early rounds before pack and on early packs a lot of the time you get one or two extra rounds of one shot headshots.

I hope that this year we’ll get more useful attachments for zombies and also unique ones for zombies. I’ve seen the xclusive ace video and bullet velocity does nothing in zombies so I’d like something unique for zombies like the suppressor
So, the first thing I say in the video is to use the chapters to skip to the end of you want, are they not showing up for you? I have a "Results" section in literally every one of these videos where I go over every important point in the video... Is that not what you mean? 😬
Man’s giving more effort, analysis and data to us than the game developers are and then drops a “its only PAP 1, I’m sorry, burn me at the stake if you want to”. I think you’re fine mate 😂
I've realized even before watching this video (which is an AWESOME video) that the headshot multiplier with CHF is not all that it claims to be. I mainly run FMJ with reinforced barrel to make overall damage increased. Especially with the deadshot headshot augment and elemental damage augment. Because hey, who is hitting 100 % headshots anyways haha! Love the in depth content brother. You make this game much more interesting on an analytical level which I always appreciate. Much love man ✊
If I remember correctly from a previous video, FMJ doesn’t increase any damage whatsoever, it just increases the amount of zombies your bullets will penetrate through.
@asaiguess4491 That is exactly why I use it. So when your shooting even 2 zombies in front of each other you're dealing more damage through each one of them. It's better for hordes and training really but that's what I always run for attachments.
maybe it well make sense if you saved a bullet for every zombie at the end of round 55 you would have saved a lot of bullets ? can you test this please ?
To me it entirely depends on the weapon and your ability control recoil. (Model L simping inbound) Model L for example has no recoil with rapid fire and CHF and is an ideal candidate to use that combo on, especially since the increase on the stats page is 20%. I do think the XM4 is one of the weaker assault rifles from my own experience so possibly a follow up on other weapons may be needed as some are generally just much better with and some are worse without
I use the cold hammer forged barrel on almost every gun. Time to use a different attachment slot or try something else, depending on the weapon of course 😂 Thanks for the video!
I mean now that might give a slot for the lasers. I haven’t been using them for the most part, granted this might only be useful for shotguns or anything you might hipfire unless you like the tactical stance in which case your prograde using the laser slot soooo who knows 😅
@@OswinPond Generally, whether it was the shotgun, sniper, ar. Yes. On a wall test, it does have more recoil, but it was hardly noticeable in game. Very easy to control. Not nearly enough to even mention in the discussion honestly
@@DoughnutsI’d say it depends on the gun. On the Model L as an example it’s a no brainer, it’s 20% more damage. On others, which are 5% or less sometimes, personally I just skip the barrel completely if it’s not an SMG or Pistol.
@@LillianAredhel Depends on the gun for me. I run the AMR with RS, many automatic guns with FMJ (+10% horde DpS through more penetration damage), on Shotguns mostly RF.
Hey Doughnuts! Had a quick question to ask you. When are the retinal and badges tracker coming out? I finished the nebula grind and started doing retinals and badges for zombies but I keep losing track of what I have already done.
This is something I recommend you test because I’ve noticed this in my games when going through the attachments, I definitely think the bullet velocity translates to penetration in zombies and not only the hit scan distance. Various attachments like the rapid fire mod decrease the effective damage range for your weapons, which then lowers the hit scan distance and damage of your weapon overall.(not saying your gun does less damage overall but your gun does less damage overall all at a distance) what I was trying to test was how far you could kill a zombie with the highest and lowest bullet velocity and whether or not it had an effect on shooting your weapon at head level to maximize critical damage for essences. In testing I found that with a higher velocity I was killing more zombies with less bullets shot with a higher velocity than a lower one, at first I thought that would make more sense because I’m intentionally lowering the range of the gun but that’s not how bullets work in bo6, I think what is happening is with a higher velocity your bullet will travel through all zombies in that hit scan line or effect damage line, which in turn would help kill faster in a horde, I’m not sure if I explained this correctly but definitely check it out for yourself because my weapon builds always use the barrel for velocity or the barrel for velocity and damage range, I also believe TheXclusiveAce has a video briefly going over damage range and velocity which made me think of this conclusion
Hey Doughnuts, could you please make a video on the 3 round burst attachment? Ive made like an m16 build for the XM4 with it and it feels similar to the other burst DMR's in the game. Based on the Bo6 stats sheet the headhshot damage actually is basically the same as the Aek93 and swat 556. However it is much weaker to the body. Would love to see your analysis. Thanks
I mean says 6% bonus and it gives 6%. I think for zombies the attachments should have different bonuses compared to other modes. Recoil reducers should make your guns act like lasers, movement speed should be more and damage boosters like CHF should be at least 20% These look like numbers meant for MP or Warzone. Zombies literally have millions of HP compared to a player. We need bigger bonuses.
Wait, does the DMR category benefit from the CHF barrel more so? I like to use it on DMR's to min-max my early-game set up. Anecdotally I feel like it saves me a few bullets in setting up which helps me last until i get a max ammo lol (yeah it's not much).
Will you be making a cryofreeze vs elemental pop bônus damage comparison if its better running vulnera Bean or cryofreeze plus extra damage augment for the extra slow on combat, also if its efficient if you have 2 different weapons with 1 with cryo freeze and 1 with napalm burst for vulnera Bean use a pistola with speed colas quick swap to proc first cryo freeze then finish the boss with napalm burst with vulnera bean
You know what's crazy? I still have not completed the Liberty Falls easter egg because the Strauss counter step bugs and I cannot see the green/red/yellow light. I googled this issue and I am hardly the only person with this issue
On the projector it goes green to yellow to red, if you mean the tactical then look at the machine from pap side door, you want to be on the side of the tray not in front
I honestly wish that Deadshot did more for m&k players. Controller players can spam a.d.s. and lock onto heads. We just get a little extra crit damage.
Things to note: CHF barrel's reduction in accuracy can often cause damage loss greater than the gain in headshot damage. Smgs do want an increase in bullet velocity due to easter eggs like target practice in Liberty Falls. You need around 700 m/s in order to actually successfully hit the cans, lower than that will cause the hitscan to count as a miss while the projectile hits the can, instantly failing the challenge with one shot. Being able to completely forgo a barrel attachment means you can use handling increases like grips, lasers or stocks. Generally, there are only 8 attachments allowed, but 9 actual options.
We've known these attachments were rather weak since Black ops 4. The only other thing I have to say is you could have tested it some of the higher damage weapons like the Krig C, Model L, Ak74, Tanto, and Tsarkov.
Doughnuts quick question cuz no one is talking about it, does deadshot daiquiri works on mouse and keyboard players? I cant see the difference to be honest.
Has anyone compared the LMGs? The GPMG essentially gets a crossbar from PAP. Does this accuracy stack with an actual crossbar or laser? Do the other LMGs have rhe same effect?
I saw a video about CHF barrel from Errl Shatter and he got about 20% increase on the ak74. Was the CHF ever changed? Was his method wrong? He had blue unPaP ak hit for 260 then for 320 with CHF
I notice a lot of people mentioning recoil. (I say this as someone who thinks they are trash at all fps games) In comparison to other games, this game has no recoil. If COD recoil is all you've ever played, maybe it'll be a problem for you. My personal experience is even with chf and rapid fire on a "high recoil" gun in this game, it almost doesn't move. Luckily it's a pve gamemode so use what makes you happy. I prefer chf because other than long barrel, it's the only barrel that actually does anything.
Anyone know if this barrel works in warzone? It says it one shots to the chest and head but I’ve noticed I only really get hitmarkers if I hit anything other than a headshot. I’m trying to get gold tiger on it but not sure what barrel is best for it
Might depend on if you're using slugs or choking the hell out of the spread, like i use the maelstorm with CHF with tac laser and muzzle break works well for me, the ASG might also be a good contender but most people would prefer the damage over time of DB
I’m literally level 1000 and every day the only attachment I use is the CHF barrel and oh my God it doesn’t do enough damage for body but if you just go for the head, it’s the best fucking goddamn attachment in the game anybody that says otherwise it’s just trash and actually hit head shots

Thank you, fantastic work. Ive been waiting for this!
See i find that it provides the most benefit early in a match where you are shaving off a bullet or two per zombie when ammo matters more for some of the low ammo weapons
good to know that barrels are basically an aesthetic attachment
You mentioning TheXclusiveAce made me smile. I just love my numbers-guys.
I hope that this year we’ll get more useful attachments for zombies and also unique ones for zombies. I’ve seen the xclusive ace video and bullet velocity does nothing in zombies so I’d like something unique for zombies like the suppressor
The model L would have been a great one to test since it has the best CHF barrel by miles and also has a minimal crit penalty
Could u do burst weapon mod damage increase and whether its worth it or not for the decreased fire rate
Appreciate all the effort you put into these videos but a good thing i’d love to see as a viewer is a TLDR section of the video or even a comment.
So, the first thing I say in the video is to use the chapters to skip to the end of you want, are they not showing up for you? I have a "Results" section in literally every one of these videos where I go over every important point in the video... Is that not what you mean? 😬
What about the LR 7.62 sniper? It’s explosive and the CHF increases leg damage.
@@basyl4183 me too
Man’s giving more effort, analysis and data to us than the game developers are and then drops a “its only PAP 1, I’m sorry, burn me at the stake if you want to”.
@@subarucircus1 Gotcha, all your comment said was “overall damage increased” so that’s why I thought you meant that. But yeah that makes sense.
@asaiguess4491 I hear ya 100% thank you for the civil commentary haha! Shred onwards ✊
maybe it well make sense if you saved a bullet for every zombie at the end of round 55 you would have saved a lot of bullets ? can you test this please ?
To me it entirely depends on the weapon and your ability control recoil. (Model L simping inbound) Model L for example has no recoil with rapid fire and CHF and is an ideal candidate to use that combo on, especially since the increase on the stats page is 20%. I do think the XM4 is one of the weaker assault rifles from my own experience so possibly a follow up on other weapons may be needed as some are generally just much better with and some are worse without
I use the cold hammer forged barrel on almost every gun. Time to use a different attachment slot or try something else, depending on the weapon of course 😂
Thanks for the video!
@@seang1032 cold hammer forged barrel isn’t even a barrel?
How did you edit your comment and still not put an actual barrel?
I like having chf even if it's a small increase, it's still better than nothing for that extra damage.
I mean now that might give a slot for the lasers. I haven’t been using them for the most part, granted this might only be useful for shotguns or anything you might hipfire unless you like the tactical stance in which case your prograde using the laser slot soooo who knows 😅
Bro is a legend for his work
Love all the graphs & charts im a stats nerd too
Good job as always.
Honestly, it feels like CHF got nerfed. It used to slap on my PM and Grekova for the pistols grind
i really wonder if the CHF barrel works with the LR 7.62’s explosive shots to the zombie’s legs, if so that actually matters
It may not be super OP, but still the best barrel IMO.
I’d love to see this sheet for every gun. Maybe record them passively as you play normally and release a video or spreadsheet way later?
@actvision you should hire this guy.
What about the recoil tough ? Yeah you save one bullet but the increase in recoil is pretty significant so it might not be worth it at all.
Use Recoil Springs in your last attachment slot, pretty much evens out
@@LillianAredhel Depends on the gun for me. I run the AMR with RS, many automatic guns with FMJ (+10% horde DpS through more penetration damage), on Shotguns mostly RF.
Maybe if the chf barrel wasnt basically cosmetic normal weapons would actually be fun to use for longer into the game
Thanks
Does the CHF barrel make a difference to the Manglers arm cannon? Best way to test if its headshots or criticals
I mean says 6% bonus and it gives 6%.
I think for zombies the attachments should have different bonuses compared to other modes.
Recoil reducers should make your guns act like lasers, movement speed should be more and damage boosters like CHF should be at least 20%
These look like numbers meant for MP or Warzone.
Thank you so much for the info! ....updating all my zombies weapons fk...
Do bullet velocity barrel’s affect the PAPd GS45s so they hit the target quicker?
I honestly wish that Deadshot did more for m&k players. Controller players can spam a.d.s. and lock onto heads. We just get a little extra crit damage.
Things to note:
CHF barrel's reduction in accuracy can often cause damage loss greater than the gain in headshot damage.
I think without the recoil penalty, I'd hit 4% more of my shots and make it more worth to just use the short barrel.
I mean a 6% increase is basically worthless so that makes sense, i didnt know the increase was that small.
We've known these attachments were rather weak since Black ops 4. The only other thing I have to say is you could have tested it some of the higher damage weapons like the Krig C, Model L, Ak74, Tanto, and Tsarkov.
Good. I don't like the concept of straight damage increases out of game that you take every game.
Doughnuts quick question cuz no one is talking about it, does deadshot daiquiri works on mouse and keyboard players? I cant see the difference to be honest.
The LR sniper rifle can kill more zombies in a train with this barrel per shot. At least thats what I was told
How do you get the in-game stats to show up? Past Season 1 Reloaded, the detailed stats are completely gone for me?
Yeah they need to just straight up reduce the zombie health at health cap
Is the 3 round burst good on the xm4 for zombies
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY TALKS ABOUT THIS, everyone calls me crazy for not using it 😭
What about testing sniper limb damage against the bosses that have weakpoints on their limbs?
Oooo... I NEVER would've thought of that! That's a great point! I need to write that down to test!
Tbh I also dont even use it on some weapon coz the recoil gets so extremly random
it feels like the weapon customization in bo6 zombies is a lot worse than cold war imo
Funny thing is its also useless in multiplayer. The difference actually makes kills harder due to range and accuracy being more effective
Good to know that the CHF barrel is just as useless in Zombies as it is in Multiplayer :3
Thanks for the video Nuts 🥜
Anyone know if this barrel works in warzone? It says it one shots to the chest and head but I’ve noticed I only really get hitmarkers if I hit anything other than a headshot. I’m trying to get gold tiger on it but not sure what barrel is best for it
What’s better for shotguns, CHF or Dragons Breath?
Might depend on if you're using slugs or choking the hell out of the spread, like i use the maelstorm with CHF with tac laser and muzzle break works well for me, the ASG might also be a good contender but most people would prefer the damage over time of DB
I’m literally level 1000 and every day the only attachment I use is the CHF barrel and oh my God it doesn’t do enough damage for body but if you just go for the head, it’s the best fucking goddamn attachment in the game anybody that says otherwise it’s just trash and actually hit head shots
Are you okay?
new here, but is the Zombie health stat on your sheet for a specific round or?
Yup at round 55!
Thank you doughnuts 🍩❤️
if the snipers increase limb damage does that work against the bosses maybe?
I swear they've nerfed vulture aid augment picky eater 7 rounds no decoy or molotov drops that's not normal
Great, now they can fix the damage health on zombies by buffing CHF by a good 20%
So 3Arc fumbles whenever it comes to attachments, got it 😂
So, if you need to free up a slot, it's a good choice to go.
I use the reinforce barrels on all my gun because the recoil is much better
so what youre saying is I can use the barrel that has the most swag...
