#QOTD: What Software Tutorials Would You Like to See More of on the Channel? Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or Something Else?
Thanks Roberto. I got some excellent new tips from this tutorial and have already applied some to today's upload thumbnail and an updated header image for my new family channel.
A lot of people don't have photoshop because it's expensive so maybe do tutorials on pixlr, which is a gr8 free software that's almost like photoshop but obviously not as advanced
Hey Roberto. Another good tutorial. I have been looking at the RUclips dimensions and the placement of information for awhile. Some tutorials in after effects and audition would be nice. I have started playing around with both for sound and making moving graphics, but don't know know where to start since I'm new to both.
I worked on mine the other day but had a hard time getting everything lined up for mobile v desktop, etc. That template is going to be a great tool to get it fixed right.... thanks Roberto!
Well done on the video over all the only issue I seemed to have with this is you used pretty much all pre made assets that you did yourself and just dropped it in. I think a way to find free artwork to use (or even make easily) plus the text and such would of been nice.
In context I’m also pointing out people should either collect or make their own assets and the focus is really more about typography and layout, assets are just sugar or spice...
True but almost all that is achieved by the template, once you showed people where the template was the video was pretty much done... but thanks for the reply either way. I appreciate how you help people new to RUclips try and be better. Just this particular video seemed to drag on longer than it had to given what it covered.
Although this stuff is interesting, i'm not sure this is the way to go for you. It's all very specific and if people are looking for specific tutorials there is already a lot around. You've done an awesome job creating great quality content and please keep doing that. If you're looking to expand your content i'd like to see more of who Roberto is because i subscribed because of some video, I stayed because of you buddy! Keep sharing your insights, more q&a's, take us with you trough your routines etc etc. That's what makes me as a consumer keep coming back. Anyway, keep up the great work bro, cheers from Amsterdam (and keep creating awesome)
It’s important to have a professional RUclips channel art because it is just one part of a complete video content strategy. That is why I made a video tutorial on my channel on how to make a RUclips banner using a free online graphic app.
Very informative. What I don't get though is exactly why RUclips says that the channel art has to be such a huge size when in fact all that is done is creating a banner in the middle!! That makes no sense to me.
Question: Roberto, as a choice a to free video editing software, would you recommend me DaVinci Resolve? Is it too much for someone with the basics of video editing? The thing is, I can't afford to buy Premiere Pro at this moment but I don't wanna work with something so basic as Windows Movie Maker. I want to learn and practice real editing skills. So... is DaVinci Resolve the best free alternative to Premiere Pro? Thanks for the channel art tutorials in Photoshop! I'm loving it! Simple and straight to the point!
I have a question here... my banner is made in Photoshop, and is 300 dpi, but I still feel like, when I upload it, the quality diminishes. Something looks very pixelated about it on a desk top. Mobile devices look alright, but something just looks... "off" on a desktop. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it something I'm doing wrong is this something to do with RUclips?
RUclips/Google compresses it, oddly they didn't used to do that way back when, but Facebook does a far worse job on this, Twitter not as much. Instagram doesn't mess around with your stuff at all.
Thanks... I wasn't sure. I know FB is terrible for that! It's a shame YT does this also. Messes with peoples hard work. :P Thanks for all the info and for the reply! Cheers!
Good stuff I really could use more Photoshop tutorials I learned a few tricks. I was wondering what hot keys you used to spread out the text so it was more like this: t e x t
Sadly I am in Australia, the land of the expensive for no reason. I wish it cost $10 a month :c it's more like $30 a month, $150 out right I'm already paying $30 a month for premier pro :(
+Justin2x that is a guarantee I won't make them because I'm not interested in that... if you haven't notice I could care less about views of you look at my patterns. I'm making tutorials at the moment because this summer is the anniversary of when I started taking this channel seriously in 2013... and it started with weekly tutorial videos back in July/Aug.
Roberto Blake Roberto I'm glad you don't chase trends because it allows you to better serve the community you have built around your channel. Its like you said if your only goal was doing well you would go make star wars videos. However your actual end goal has always been to teach people how to create something awesome not just today but everyday.

#QOTD: What Software Tutorials Would You Like to See More of on the Channel? Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or Something Else?

Learning so much from you, appreciate the time you put in. I'm getting lots of skills that I am going to be applying in my digital marketing agency.
I worked on mine the other day but had a hard time getting everything lined up for mobile v desktop, etc. That template is going to be a great tool to get it fixed right.... thanks Roberto!
Jesus man I'm not off the high from your last video😞👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video.
I love photoshop. Nice tutorial Roberto.
This was great. I will try it but... how did you bring those things in? Where were they originally before you had them there on the side?
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Amazing video
That's pretty cool! Did you handwritten "Always be creative"?
Yes do more of these social media tutorials, especially IG.
Really helpful tutorial, could you do one for creating custom backgrounds for end screens
Mini Roberto is the coolest :)
Jontae4288 agreed it's a really nice little bit of branding for roberto that's pretty cool
Hey Roberto! Great Vid. Do you create your own graphic cartoon character? If so do you have a video on how you did it?
For that character I hired an artist Joshua Pomeroy
Love the mini Roberto! How did you make these?? Or did you ask someone to to this for you?
my profile picture not updated yet

How is text written in PS without font edges being jagged? Every time I use text in PS and view it in JPG the edges are rough and jagged.
great video man, the voice volume is perfect too!

Er, where was this video when I needed it two weeks ago?? Lol
Way over my head at this time. I need my computer to follow.
yes please with the social media stuff! could you talk about Ai and making logos in there and then using it across platforms?
Would you ever place a $-Wallet for monetization within the Channel Art? ...
Question:

Thanks for the channel art tutorials in Photoshop! I'm loving it! Simple and straight to the point!
Did not know you can do that with the drop shadow.
So im following this tutorial using PHOTOPEA after you suggested in your last video. im hoping it translate as well
How did it go?

Dude I was wanting to change my channel art it's so bad
I'm on a tight budget. Can you recommend software for a new RUclipsr with limited tech skills?
Canva.
Good contents of video but I wasn't really enjoying the audio side and how the microphone sounded to me, just some feedback i thought i'd bring up.
what type of photo shop is it???
Yay your the best, I'm absorbing like a sponge today
Good stuff I really could use more Photoshop tutorials I learned a few tricks. I was wondering what hot keys you used to spread out the text so it was more like this: t e x t
I can't afford photo shop :(
Anyone have other suggestions on what to use for now?
Gimp or Inkscape.
Photoshop with lightroom is $10/month btw and Photoshop elements is $80 outright.
Get it for free like i did *cracked*
Sadly I am in Australia, the land of the expensive for no reason.
I wish it cost $10 a month :c
it's more like $30 a month, $150 out right
I'm already paying $30 a month for premier pro :(
I use PicArt for thumbnails. It's a free app for both android and ios.
premier pro please.
Where can I download the template that you're using?
+Dustin Powell it's made fro scratch
Roberto Blake I ended up finding one. Thank you for the great video.
You asked if there is another image program we would like instruction in - Yes - Canva
RUclips has hit this video with 3 unskippable wix ads dude....not cool and sorry couldnt watch your video.
I'm on ios :(
Can you make a video on how to remove yourself from one background and put on another background.
+Focus on Me I already have
I hate using Photoshop. PicArt is a better choice for me (And it's free lol).
way to confusing
Make more “trendy” videos you can see by the views that ppl want them
+Justin2x that is a guarantee I won't make them because I'm not interested in that... if you haven't notice I could care less about views of you look at my patterns.
