Oh finally I have worked out how to tell you how much your weekly art video means to me. From Taupo NZ I thank you so much for sharing your life in art.
Just sitting down after thrashing the overgrown garden, untouched through last summer and now needing a big re-set…..came in for a cup of tea, and up popped your Art Weekly………what a joy!! Thank you xx
Hooray it’s Thursday! It always feels like I’m enjoying a coffee with a friend chatting away about art when I’m watching. It is so nice you share about other artists you enjoy as well as what’s on your easel at the moment. The view out the window at 21:19 was lovely. The layers of pale striped foliage, darker greens and that bright red bush (gives me spring vibes) with the stormy sky was yummy. I love irises. I’ve always had them and daises in my garden. For me they are happy flowers. Here’s to more artful play.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support, Gaynor ❤. You have a beautiful way of including your viewers and making this art process real and enjoyable 🧡🩵❤️
Its true, that the camera lens is such a good teacher. I make quilts and take photos to help determine any jarring colors that stand out in value or colors i could add for interest. Your irises are just wonderful. Love little birdie walking about in the garden.
Wonderful & yes, get those paintings into the catalog. I’ll get my tucked away little canvass out to unload paint 🎨 Love how versatile you create 💕🐾Thank you, Gaynor
I feel so happy every time I get an update on your creative journey fresh with new ideas and explorations - gets me inspired when feeling creatively blocked! I love the vibrant bold colours in the birdie painting which shouts of happiness! Thank you for the joy you bring weekly. ❤️
Good morning Gaynor..what a lovely thing to see you painting irises!Flags as Mum called them, they were one of her favourite flowers,we had a swathe of them as you came out of our front door..lovely memories, thank you!Absolutely love the blue Iris colour you have in your painting…can’t wait to see it finished!!It really is a great idea to have more than one project going on at the same time,to be able to come back with new ideas and fresh eyes..I have learned that from you so thanks so much for sharing and your continued inspiration!Oh and can I have a bottle of your energy,if you have one going spare!!😃Have a fab week doing what you love!!❤
I love the cabin, and all the colorful paintings on show, when you walked through with the camera...WOW! Just stunning. Your work just keeps on getting better and better Gaynor . My morning cuppa is Davidson's organic Earl Grey, loose leaf tea. I get it from Amazon and it's just absolutely delicious. I wish I could drink it all day long, but don't tell anyone.. . I take it with sugar🤣 Thank you so much for all your beautiful videos. Much love, Molly xxxx
Loving the ladies you have on the go reminds me of warm summer evenings ❤ Busy in an online short painting course, completely confused but enjoying the colours! 😅
Ooh... I love where the big iris painting ended up. I also have to say that I just love the colour and the composition of the painting that was on the easel at the beginning of the video. That lovely yellowish-green colour with black really floats my boat! You're always up to something interesting, Gaynor! Have a great week!
Hello Gaynor, once again, I covet your brushwork and intriguing sketches. Love the way you obscure the reality just enough to to say "look at me, I'm telling you something".

I so agree with you having several paintings on the go it keeps the energy up, keeping you on your toes. ☺️✨Have a great week with the Iris and The Lady in Red….she’s fabulous! Sending love 💕✨

Hi Gaynor welcome to my breakfast. Loved this video. So much l could say here. Love the Birdie, one of my darling daughters - in- law affectionately calls me Birdie. I went through an iris phase some years ago, using pastels. You've made me think l must look at the subject again. Im busy with a storm on canvas, since we had a wild time with Eorwyn, but l was so glad to hear you say "it's ok to go from one thing to another" as l have been doing just that 😁 Thank you so much for your delightful videos.......Alioban 💖

Your ladies are lovely.....I love the lose, full body motion Thank you for a fun an educational video😊❤

Hello Gaynor, thanks for this week's video - nice to see pineapple in bag lady walking in woods making a brief appearance. I want to attempt a mix media painting, are you able to recommend a good paper that would be used as the finished painting.
Hello Jackie, A good quality heavy weight (300 gsm) or some lovely thick watercolour paper, I use Waterford 425 gm 100% cotton, Acid Free....have fun XX
Value changes make... for 3D. Lighting from LED backlights, ring, or umbrella lighting along with the natural light would produce depth while filming. The Impressionist liked to capture the change of light. Eugene Boudin pioneered "en plein air" ... broken color technique also provides the dimensional concept. Raw honey and fresh lemon in homemade ginger tea😊. Kombucha ... what a treat, of course read the labels. Never natural flavors, google, what is the loophole of natural flavors. Chia pudding made with homemade nut milk and organic vanilla from Madagascar, yummy. Ann, in Florida
I love the blue/green colours in your iris painting. Can you tell me which brand and weight paper you use on your easel as I'm looking to work more on paper, great video as always Gaynor 😊 xx
Good morning, Gaynor. It's Paula from B, still in M. Loved waking up to watch you this morning. May I ask what you call that little rake tool you used on the iris painting to scratch through the gold color? I must get one of those! I enjoyed the ride when you carried the camera from the back studio area to the front area. It gave a nice sense of the layout. Your energy and enthusiasm for creating is a joy to experience in an increasingly weird world. Thank you!
