Logo is a 10/10, has a ship, with a C around it in the shape of a compass, with a basketball pattern acting as waves at the bottom of the ship. Perfect execution. Jerseys are simple but clean, solid 7-8/10, good to ditch the black.
The same thing happened last year at a Kings vs Lakers game. The Kings won against the Lakers in LA and for a lot of the last few minutes in the 4th quarter you you could hear the light the beam chant. Just shows the passion of the Kings fans at the moment.

I wish the Clippers would switch their colors to Orange and Blue from their San Diego Days. I feel like too many teams have the red, white, and blue colors. Other than that the rebrand is cool way better than their current branding.
This could be cool but OKC already has the blue and orange color scheme so even that wouldn't be too unique. Even more so since they're in the same conference and see each other several times per year.
I think the Clippers are the only team with a navy, baby and red colour scheme. The baby blue as a core color (it’s on every New Jersey) adds something different that the wizards, Sixers etc don’t have
I dig the rebrand, but to me it's always been weird that NY and LA have two teams, because you know there's always going to be one that's way more popular than the other. Most fans pick a team because it's their city. Well, if you've got two teams in a city, most fans are going to pick the one that has a bigger history of success.

Clips fan since '06. Any new logo was going to be sight for sore eyes. This is the first logo in the teams history that leans into the name. Got folks that were grown that didn't know a Clipper was a ship so when I called the G-League team the Canoes, they were confused. The C logo without the boat in the middle has the biggest potential IMO

The sad thing is Brooklyn was on the way of becoming a fun organization again. That team with Dlo, Levert, Allen, Harris, dinwiddie and Jared Dudley. Now they weren’t a contender obviously but the aura around the them was fun and exciting. Watching the bench celebrate and seeing the crowd actually root for them. It’s sad they gambled their cap space on Kyrie and KD, 2 stars who aren’t about franchise loyalty and were plagued by injuries.

Also to touch up on the "light the beam" chants that same thing happened when they played the Lakers last year. Kings fans travel will in California
As a Nets fan, everything you said about them when it comes to stars not wanting to come to Brooklyn because of what went down with Durant, Irving, and Harden, I 100% agree with and feels very true.
I love the history behind the Clippers ship that used to be off the coast of San Diego where the team used to be and the name came from and all of that
Never seen your channel before, but I like that you talk about more than just the game, but also business, social implications, etc. Great commentary, subbed
I'm a Clippers fan. (Ignore the pfp. It's a meme). I'm so excited for the Clips to have their own stadium! I was saying they needed that since before it was planned. Plus, l love the rebrand. Maybe the jerseys and court more than the logo, but nonetheless, a rebrand felt nice. It would be such a perfect storybook ending if we finally did it next year! Because, tbh I think that regardless this year is too soon but next year is possible.
That white jersey is super clean. I actually like the blue one more than the red. The red one seems a little too saturated or something, kinda wish the script had a white outline.
Clippers fan here! I've been really hoping they would do a rebrand in preparation for the new venue and I am not disappointed. Love the fact that they are leaning into the nautical theme (I always have to tell people that a Clipper is a ship, now it's more obvious). I was fine with the Red White and Blue color scheme, but thought the shades needed a serious upgrade. Love the darker shades of the blue. Overall, it looks like an actual NBA franchise, unlike before.
The logo would be better if it was a side view because then the sails of the vessel would be more discernable. From the front it's really hard to tell that those are sails, and it does look like a cruise ship. It's ok though. They needed a change.
One thing with small market fans, they are some of the most critical but loyal fans out there. tbh if I was at that game last night I would have been chanting light the beam too after watching that performance against the kings lmao. As a Clipper fan this rebrand is a huge w, super excited to get my hands on some gear. Steve has doubled the value of the franchise over the course of his ownership, which has been huge for the organization as a whole. Despite the setbacks and injuries, the future is bright for the org.
Minimalistic logos make a lot of sense, when you consider the sort of stuff it gets printed on. I would say something about it being a circle, but circle logos for NBA teams make a lot of sense because of the logo branding you can fit in the middle of the stadium's court
The small touches are crazy good, the overall look is clean, and, more importantly, they’re leaning into an identity instead of every team having a basketball logo (clippers, Lakers, Nets, 76ers, pistons, etc). Love this rebrand.
It’s also important to know how important winning is for the future, because some other teams got picks and stuff and they can afford to fail their run, but LAC cant
I like your take Kenny! I've done a deep dive video on this new logo as well and I agree that it has some good bones but I think there are way too many concepts cramped into one monogram. The rest of the assets look decent though. @Brand2Thrive
I think I would like the Clippers logo better if the compass crosshair was at more of angle. I think that would go hard. Not every logo has to be perfectly symmetrical and profile pic friendly.
I love the rebrand! Some people don't like the jerseys. I personally really love them, especially the red. Going for this navy vibe, it's so cool, especially moving closer to the coast and whatnot. I don't disagree with you. We have to market better and maintain all-star priorities. However, we have been significantly better than the Lakers in recent years. Always winning games against them and sure they won a recent chip in 20', but it's time we turn that around. I can't wait and I love the logo! Maybe it coulda been different, but regardless, this is pretty cool, and I'm all in for it! New stadium, colors, logo, jerseys, it's just fun!
"Colour on colour" often looks weird without "outline/trim/border". Red font on navy/navy font on red woukd look better with with outline Sad they make kits like games with "5 slot" limitations - it's either "first idea" or "quit halfway through good idea".. 😂
Minimalist logos may get a bad rap, but as a graphic designer, its just easier to use in the digital age when it comes to using it in multiple methods as a simple vector. Logos are a painting, theyre a symbol for a brand.
kenny so real for mentioning the old logos, that early 10s milwaukee bucks deer being gone for the foreseeable future still stings, same goes for the old grizzly and the old hawk for atlanta. the rebrand is okay, the logo make the clippers look like a ruise ship operation which is kinda funny, i thought the dark blue jerseys looked the coolest out of the bunch but to each their own mister kenny 🫡
I like the rebrand, agree about the logo but overall I love the vibes of the new logo and wish they leaned a bit more into the coastal aspect for the jerseys.
As a Clippers fan since 06, this is a much needed rebrand and I think B+ is a fair score. Love that they went for the nautical theme. Always had to explain what a Clipper was to family and friends lol I also appreciate your fair and apt analysis about about the team. You were objective about the facts but I also appreciated hearing your perspective as well. Lastly, Clippers fans are not delusional. We know that LA will probably never be a Lakers town and we're completely fine with that because that's not what we're after anyway. We just want to win one 🤞. Anyway nice work! Subbed and looking forward to hearing more content!
On a side note, the "Clipper" name doesn't even make sense for LA as much as it does for San Diego, where they used to play. But I understand why they wouldn't change it atp
its a proximity thing kenny. i been a long time LAC fan and kings always have heavy presence. its cuz the bay is so cose same reason why warriors games have always had good away crowds even pre steph
NBA inter-city rivalries would be so much better if they made a way to limit the amount of away fans that can attend games. Either split the home and away fans, stop websites like seatgeek and sell tickets on the team websites or something like that. You’ll never see this happen in a football/soccer game for this very reason
every lakers fan hating on this but i love it, the logo is honestly nice fr and way better than before and the jerseys are clean with a nice font and better colors
I like the New Jerseys, and the new logo reminds me more of a baseball logo (probably just cause it looks like the Mariners logo) but I do like it, and I think it’ll grow on me
I like it. The logo is mid, but the jerseys are pretty good. A lotta teams nowadays try to be simple with their unis but some teams like the Cavs and the Jazz are too simple to the point where they're bland(especially the Jazz.) The Clips jerseys are simple but they at least have some good design on the side panels to spice things up. I'd give the jerseys an 8.2/10
A win on multiple fronts: 1.) The full removal of the Clippers brand from the Sterling era: Those cheap looking fonts are gone. The branding is gone. Everything that reminds the fans of Sterling except the team name is gone. I truly don't think I need to say much more than this. Moving onto... 2.) The focus on the actual namesake, the Clipper (a kind of navy ship): It gives the club some semblance of identity. Perhaps their new mascot has some kind of synergy with this, like a sailor. 3.) The refocusing on navy as the base of the color scheme: For too long, everything, including the logo, seemed to try and be a poor-mans Lakers, which is also being rectified with a new, personalized arena. No longer will they be the second most popular team in their own building, let alone the city. By focusing on navy instead of white or red, something really seems unique about the Clippers. Which that brings me to... 4.) The name: Internal studies had shown that despite all of the pain and misery the franchise has provided the fan base, the Clippers was something that stuck, so much so that according to said studies, any name change would have brought a violently negative reaction. So it shows that yes, even though they technically don't have to do anything that the fans want, and they would have every excuse in the world to change the name that has been so far synonymous with nothing but failure, they didn't. Because that's what the fans wanted. That leads perfectly into the final point: 5.) Building the fan base for the future: The actual connection with the fans is important here in establishing an identity. Whereas the Lakers are Showtime, bright lights, glitz and glamor, stars at every game, the Clippers can do well to market themselves to a more blue-collared, Everyman type of person, particularly as the country continues to become more inhabited by immigrants who may not be able to afford to go to Lakers games. TLDR: The Clippers are doing everything right to distance themselves from being the Lakers little brother with this rebranding, and I like it.

Maybe it coulda been different, but regardless, this is pretty cool, and I'm all in for it! New stadium, colors, logo, jerseys, it's just fun!
"Colour on colour" often looks weird without "outline/trim/border".
Red font on navy/navy font on red woukd look better with with outline
Sad they make kits like games with "5 slot" limitations - it's either "first idea" or "quit halfway through good idea"..
Where is the Sixers REBRAND
I like the rebrand, agree about the logo but overall I love the vibes of the new logo and wish they leaned a bit more into the coastal aspect for the jerseys.
As a Clippers fan since 06, this is a much needed rebrand and I think B+ is a fair score. Love that they went for the nautical theme. Always had to explain what a Clipper was to family and friends lol
I also appreciate your fair and apt analysis about about the team.
I hope the future of NBA logos is more of the consulting firm aesthetic.
every lakers fan hating on this but i love it, the logo is honestly nice fr and way better than before and the jerseys are clean with a nice font and better colors
I like the New Jerseys, and the new logo reminds me more of a baseball logo (probably just cause it looks like the Mariners logo) but I do like it, and I think it’ll grow on me
The Clippers 2000s jerseys were by far the best jerseys they’ve had in their history. These new Clippers fans are just coping rn
I'd give the jerseys an 8.2/10
I literally just finished watching your Pod and then you posted this 😂
A win on multiple fronts:
1.) The full removal of the Clippers brand from the Sterling era: Those cheap looking fonts are gone.
That leads perfectly into the final point:
5.) Building the fan base for the future: The actual connection with the fans is important here in establishing an identity.
