The shooting accuracy was NEARLY IDENTICAL.
The only significant difference were free throws: 30 for Wolves & 16 for Nuggets.
Nuggets lost because of the SAME REASON they lost 15 to 20 other games this season in which they blew 20+ point leads.
a. Settling for 3PT shots when they have a lead, despite shooting horribly
b. Failing to battle for rebounds
Chucking up all those 3PT meant no free throws & it allowed Wolves to break out transition offense, scoring easy points & gaining momentum.

Well said. It takes 5 players to contribute at all times. Many missed shots and a terrible second half is the reason Denver blew a 16-point lead and ultimately lost. The bench also needs to be better, and Denver needs another big man who can help Jokic. Can’t wait to see what happens in the off season, but I do expect Denver to be back in the race next season.

Then he "passed" the ball to Jokić as if he was throwing it into a well and in the most important moments he sold clean four balls in the initial phase of the attack. In the end, even the Olympic pool was not capable of hitting and disappearing from the field. On the field, Jokić was left from the whole team to push against their three tall players in the low post. I'm in transition, I'm under the basket...Where's Murray??? Assists Minnesota in the middle of the field! Horror! He should have been traded immediately! The Hornets can't wait for him!

It's time to get back on planet earth for the Nuggets. Team last year looked much better than what they actually are. Jokic was basically a one man show in this series, joined by Gordon in a couple of games and Murray in another couple including the one tonight. Roster needs some serious upgrades.

He took responsibility for his poor showing from distance. Honestly those 8 misses really hurt.
He had an ok game for him, but he wasn't able to get his teammates as many easy shots as they needed.
This was a huge game and he was just good, not great. We'll have to hold off on the Bird comparisons for another couple years.
Plus there is no way this team around Jokic is of the caliber of the Bird era Celtics. Bird, as great as he was, had better players around him for sure
Good season Nuggets it’s hard when everyone wants your blood all year and then more.
West was brutal and everyone wanted to beat the champs. I don't remember other teams trying to beat the Raptors all season this hard in 2020 as a raptors fan.

Replace any super star on any team with Jokic and that team will be better. People need to cut the cap about this dude not being the best player in the league. The fact that some of their players didn't show up for most of these 12 playoff games is really annoying. They're probably going to need to cut some of these high cap players and get some more consistent players.

MPJ unfortunately not a factor in this series. And the Nuggets bench was not the bench of an NBA champion although Braun did his part. Better luck next year still a championship core. Anthony Edwards is gonna learn about class some day. Hopefully Mavs can teach him.

Edwards won’t learn class, American culture encourages his behavior. He learned it from previous superstars, and he’s teaching aspiring basketball players to be cocky and arrogant. To each their own tho.
I was going to say that Anthony Edwards is only 22 years old so in time he'll learn then I think of Victor Wembanyama and realize he's only 20 and has a lot of class. He's mature way beyond his years and I look forwar do watching him grow as a player.

Malone is a bad coach. He was too afraid to lose the lead. He didn't know what to to when Jokic was out. He seemed to forget Jokic is a human. Both Malone and Booth should be held accountable for the lost.
Nuggets need a playable back up big and a decent combo guard, i don't know how they get that but the bench is killing them...shows the importance of Green and Brown last year
Consistency is the problem for sure. Tough to have lost Bruce Brown. He would have really helped keep the Min defense honest.

The team must not be one man, and unfortunately, that's exactly what we are right now! Denver needs better at position 1! If we want the title again, then we can't worry about which leg Murray got out of bed on today. We can't waste Jokić indefinitely on someone's bad mood! Yesterday, Jokić distributed so many excellent finishing passes, and in the end he had a measly five assists! We all know why! Jokić makes the difference and allows others to have a clean shot for the basket, while the others miss as if they were throwing a refrigerator! Minnesota understood that, and in the end they only rode on Jokić. The others disappeared from the field! Denver needs a serious reconstruction because it's a shame that with Jokic like this we miss out on titles just because we and the rest of the team don't have someone who has a cool head and a steady hand to see off the master. For an annual salary of 36 million dollars, much more is expected than what Murray has provided us so far! Four lost balls in the initial phase of the attack in a match that has this significance??? Well, not even a below-average playmaker from the Euroleague would allow himself to do that!!!

I mentioned it that MPJ will be the deciding factor for G7 if nuggets is to win - he has to have a great night and Aaron Gordon with his best too. But, both did not have a good night. that is basketball for you. Painful but it is what it is. I was worried about this and I mentioned Nuggets need to close it in G6.

Repeating is hard. Repeating with a worst team is close to impossible. I think some people overlook how important was Bruce Brown last year coming from the bench. And even Green. Without them someone else needed to step up this year. That didn't happen, so here we are. No shame in losing to this team though.

This roster isn't built for the way the game is officiated post all star break. There is no way so much pushing and shoving isn't called in the last 8 years. Can you imagine curry being pushed around like that? Or LeBron? We are back to the days where a mediocre offence might get to the NBA finals. I guess if that the price the league wants to pay to get ANT to the finals....

@@isaiahlahr9650Why does the NBA have to go from one extreme to the other? I think the NBA likes to keep their officiating ambiguous, so they can call fouls whenever need be. The amount of grabbing and shoving the Wolves do isn’t defense, but the refs let them get away with it.

There are two good things about this. The first is that you won't lose to Luka (who would later make fun of you for the rest of your life) and the second is that you can go to the Olympics if you want.

In the games that they won they shot under 30 3s. In the games that they lost they shot 30 or more 3s. The big lead they had started to go away when they started chunking 3s.
They only lost by a few points….. And I’m old school…I’ve seen coaches…coach right up to the last 0.3 seconds of the game ….. they could of kept on fouling and put them on the line … instead of throwing in the towel with 25.7 seconds still left in the game and being down by 7/8 points….Minnesota is the better team this season….
