This is just plain IDIOTIC not to add this feature to A7s but add it to already ridiculous resolution camera's. Who needs 240Mp or 400Mp??? 60Mp is already too much and sensitivity is suffering. For most cases 12Mp is more than enough. Sony A7s III could have made use of this feature.
Sony a9 says 30% increase in Eye AF performance over A7R2. Whereas Sony A7R3 says Double the Performance over A7R2. Does that mean A7R3 is better than A9 in terms of Eye AF Performance ?
This is a jugement question. How much larger will a photographer be able to print these files? I know this depends on paper, sharpness of lens, and technique of a photographer etc. For the sake of conversation say a 20 X 30 on a fine art paper was as far as a given photographer was comfortable printing an image from a A7rII. Will the image using pixel shift on the A7rIII be able to go 24 X36 or 30 X 45 with a similar look? I know many have printed their images from an A7rII bigger but I was using 20 X 30 as a base for the conversation. The point of the question again is how much larger can we expect to be able to print these files?
Can you do this with the super 35 mode? I'm planning to get the Zeiss 35mm distagon and it's close to 2k CAD so I want to know if I can pixel shift at crop mode to get a near 50mm focal point to justify the ridiculous price of that lens lol
Hi Albert, thanks for the demo, the only reason i wanted to jump from the a7rii to the a7riii is the pixel shift feature however as i watched in the video the camera is using electronic shutter only which means i won't be able to use my strobes with the feature!! can you confirm whether you can use flash with pixel shift or not? thanks

Everybody knows how to make 4 pictures in a row. I thought this video will be about pixelshift.
If you shoot in f14 the diffranction destroys your sharpness if you have 42mp ff sensor, just saying. Not smart.
this is barely noticeable at f/14 with the Sony Zeiss 16-35 f/4 . Real loss of sharpness starts from f/16 or higher.
every lens have different sweet spot in terms of sharpness. learn where's the sweet spot on your lenses.
why can't it combine the photos in camera?

Sunwayfoto L-bracket but it blocks the ports on the left. I think they will release a new one for the A7RIII soon.
