Fun fact: This song is one of the only guilty gear tracks that currently has a music video, its a really good watch and shows a lot of the events that happened in the past games. its also animated by the same people who are making the guilty gear anime!

Sol does actually have a vocal track in xrd being ride the fire that automatically plays when dragon install is activated, CapnBooker the other main lyrics channel for guilty gear has made a lyric video for it. Xrd actually has many vocal tracks, but only ride the fire and tsuki no shihai are connected to characters
Nice ear catching that bit of Sol's classic theme! (That one's called "Keep Yourself Alive") Sol Badguy is actually a very popular character, and has probably the most developed and layered story in the entire cast, one that's reflective of the series' themes as a whole (he IS the main character after all) Not gonna go into spoilers toooo much, but here's an overview (mostly focusing on stuff the first game tells us) Sol is first presented to us as a lone bounty hunter who specifically focuses on killing Gears above all other targets. His background wasn't really known to people, and in fact, Sol himself hated being asked about it. He's gruff, but free-spirited, and doesn't like to play by the rules. Towards the end of the Crusades (war between humans and Gears) Sol's skills got the attention of the Holy Order (human army) and he was recruited as one of their knights. At the same time, Ky was also a knight of the Order, despite still being a child (14-15-ish). Ky was considered a prodigy, and due to his skills, was actually the captain of the squad Sol was in. But while Ky was all about rules and working together, Sol hated working with others and tended to step outta line. Ky attempted to set him straight through a duel, but ended up losing to Sol. And Ky could tell Sol wasn't even using hus full power. It's from these events that their rivalry starts to form- Ky wanting to face Sol in honorable combat to get through to him, and Sol wanting none of that, treating Ky like a kid (which, to be fair, Ky was) Eventually Sol decides this whole fighting alongside others in the Holy Order thing isn't working out for him, so he instead decides to desert, but not before stealing one of their treasured magic swords. Ky attempts to stop the theft but is bested by Sol again. The actual games don't start until a couple years later, after the war. Sol still lives a lone life as a bounty hunter, while Ky, now a young adult, tries to adjust to the new world. Throughout the main plot of the Guilty Gear series, the relationship with Ky is a pretty notable one for Sol- he treats Ky like a nuisance, but really all Ky really wants is to connect and understand one another. It takes a while for us to get at it, but it's evident that Sol has experienced great loss in the past, and as such has grown bitter and unable to let himself just, live and be with other people. And a big part of his journey is him finally forging new bonds again and healing from the past.
At this point Sol and Ky are more like brothers than anything. Ky even had him raise his kid. So they are pretty much freindly rivals at this point. Although Guilty Gear's story is weird.
Sol's theme is the second shortest after Slayer's theme but not cause people dislike either character they just manage to get their message across quickly in those songs
Ky and Sol hate each other's guts but have to work together a lot since their goals often align. Sol is also Ky's father in law which is something they only learned after the fact and caused them incredible amounts of psychic damage when they realized it.
Left this comment in a video a couple weeks ago but ima do it again. Check out either "Strange Sunset"from Street Fighter Ex Plus Alpha, "Rising Dragon" from the same game, "Green Shower" from Street Fighter Ex2 Plus, or "Matador" from Street Fighter Ex 3. The ex series is kinda forgotten but it genuinely has the best soundtracks out of any Fighting Game series out there. Ex Alpha Plus being the best.
Sol in the story is very complex, but in terms of how he actually carries himself he's pretty simple. He tends to be pretty grumpy but not always immediately annoyed by people around him, even if his words might seem to suggest he is. His songs lyrics are super duper punk. By this point in the story Sol has fought past many of the demons of his past and things are looking up. His song is about living how he wants, and just live and let live, but don't EVER let anybody get away with seriously wronging you. People love to describe his song as being the sound of being in a bar fight, and you're winning, and that makes sense for Sol on a lot of levels, he loves hanging out in bars! If I remember correctly, not only is Sol the main character (him and Ky are both the protagonists equally, but if you had to pick one of them it would be Sol), but he's also Daisuke Ishiwataris favorite character in the game. Whenever there's footage of him playing the game he's using Sol, and he even voices Sol in the older games, including the ones you most likely played. Sol is a massive Queen reference. He holds his sword like how Freddy Mercury held his microphone, his real name, Frederick Bulsara, is a reference to Freddy Mercury's real name, Sol even canonically owns a Queen Vinyl. The name "Sol Badguy" is inspired by the album Mr. Badguy. The old Sol theme that you are thinking of is called Keep Yourself Alive btw!
@@RightManWrongPlace I mean neither of the two knew it at first until it was confirmed that Dizzy is actually Sol & Aria's (Justice) daughter. Neither Sol nor Ky were thrilled by that revelation.
