- The plaintiff used to be friends with the defendant. The plaintiff co-signed on a car loan for the defendant. However, the plaintiff is suing for unpaid tickets, car payments, and repairs. The defendant insists the plaintiff repossessed the car, so she's countersuing for the value of her down payment and car payments made.

Someone co-signed for a car for me before and one day I got into an accident and after that my friend got a $7,000 bill in the mail so I called them and had the debt transferred to myself.. glad to be over all that now 😌

Life lessons: (1) Don't cosign for anything for anyone unless it's someone you're willing to risk serious damage to your credit for. (2) If you're ever going to loan someone money, get a promissory note, but make sure it's money that, if they never paid you back, you'd be okay with that. People will screw their friends over every time. 😂

Taught the plaintiff a valuable lesson as well: Never Cosign On A Loan For Anyone; that's a surefire way to make a foe out of a friend. Same thing with family. Just don't.
