Hey Matt, this was the first video of yours I ever watched. My coach sent it to my team like 5 years ago and I've been watching you ever since.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets out of breath when I demonstrate and teach at the same time. Hahaha

For you young players out there if you want to play at high levels then I would suggest taking these videos and work on these drills that Matty is showing you. Because I pitched and played first base from little league to highschool and at age 13 I played travel baseball for coaches that played pro or college. So I learned a lot when I was playing travel baseball and one of the drills that our coaches taught us was the creep. So what this drill is about is when the pitcher begins his windup or stretch position is if your on the infield and depending how deep your playing on the infield. You begin the creep by staying on your toes because what I see from a lot of young kids is that they are flat footed and they let the ball play them. But another drill that our travel coaches would do to us is that we would use the flat part of a ping pong paddle and we would field ground balls with the flat part of the ping pong paddle. What that does is that it makes your hands quicker to the ball or when I was playing highschool. We would do almost the same drill but we would field the ball with our bare hands then our coaches would want us to shuffle our feet from side to side. But some of these drills is something that you can do at practices and before games when you are taking infield. Also you want to get these drills down now because when you get to higher levels of baseball they pretty much expect you to know it. Because from highschool and beyond you have to earn your way onto the team

How’s about taking some balls in the video to see how fast one rolls it and the timing.?I like you videos but you’re always big on talking but short on demo

Some videos I show a lot of examples and some I can’t. This one is difficult to show demos because I am literally the only person in the facility lol

If your wife/mom buys the food, cooks the meal, cuts the meat, and even feeds it to you …do you still ask her to chew it for you?
If so, here’s the drill…stand with your feet at a proper spread with equal weight distribution. Get into the power crouch position and with your throwing hand, then reach down between your legs and locate your balls (those little things inside your cup). Good luck
