It's a really cool bowl. The salty fisherman in me sees an octopus hiding in a log. The sticks look like suction cups on the tentacles.

The green and yellow looks like beautiful spring leaves sprouting from your branches.🍃The shape is perfect and shows off all that amazing wood grain. Very well done! I really like the bright spring green with the deeper tones of the walnut, and the swirls of the bark inclusions make for great visual texture. The sticks make it look a bit like millefiori glass. Very nice! Thanks for sharing this unique project.

You never fail to disappoint. You do it differently then Jim. But different is good. Jim often deals with cracks in a twice turned bowl so the approach is different.

I really like this bowl. Even without the epoxy, it still would be an amazing bowl. The shape is great and I love that you made it so thin. I’m a big fan of Jim, it’s been great to see his skills with using epoxy really develop over the last few years. I really like it when he uses soapstone instead of epoxy. It’s very unique when he does it. It’s cool when he uses pewter too.

Man that DIY wax is good stuff!! Another outstanding piece from a very modest guy. I love Jim’s work, but his videos are really long. Yes I still watch the entire videos. You 2 need to do a collaborative piece or 2!! That would be cool to watch them both.

This is one of the loveliest pieces I have seen you do! I really like the green fix, for that crack: It came out so well! The whole swirly colours of the walnut, even without the resin and twigs, are just gorgeous! Keep up the good work, and thank you for showing us how you did it. Oh and love your epoxy makers mark!! Leaving your 'signature' without covering up beautiful wood-grain! If I ever get good enough to produce non-embarassing bowls I may have to adapt that idea :)
