I find it so sad that a lot of schools don’t allow children to have colored hair. Allowing kids to have colored hair allows them to express themselves. I don’t think society should make kids feel that they have to “fit in.” Props to you for letting them put color in their hair! *Edit: I’m talking about temporary semi-permanent dyes, not bleach, box dye, or lighteners. There’s nothing that’s damaging in almost all semi-permanent creme dyes. They’re actually super conditioning.
Actually i think chemicals are harmful. Because i went to saloon and lady said i have to wait till i am 18. I had regret doing it. It ruined my hair. It took long time to recover.

And your family is one to aspire to--loving, open, communicative, creative, adventurous, supportive, respectful, crazy cool, healthy, happy. Your kids have so many great options open to them yet you always maintain a firm hand in setting down ground rules. I love that. Choices within limits. Limits get a bad rep but they're essential to know. Test, sure, that's a kid's nature (as well as some adults), but your kids have a firm foundation. A secure, unchanging base. Huzzah!

My 2 boys have white blonde hair so it’s super easy to put temp color in their hair. Every summer from the time my oldest was like 7-8 years old we would let them color their hair on the first day of summer. It became a tradition and they have had every color of the rainbow at this point. By the end of summer it had either completely faded away or got cut off when they got their back to school haircuts. It’s something fun and harmless but to them it’s the coolest thing ever.
