You could probably add Bass Reeves and Dave Rudabaugh to this excellent list. It was said that Rudabaugh was the only man to cross paths with Billy the Kid, Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. Possibly Wild Bill too

Bass Reeves was the real Lone Ranger he certainly belongs here. He was so dedicated to the law that he even brought in his own son.

Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and Wild Bill Hickok were truly colorful multifaceted characters. The rest were merely lawless killers.

this list is incomplete. Bass Reeves should definitely be added to this list, what with all of the trials and tribulations he had to over come.

Why isn't Bass Reeves on this list? His life of dedication to duty, his skills with firearms, and his unwavering heart for justice should have placed him on this list, if not on the top of it.

Kinda suprised that Deacon Jim Miller wasnt in the list. Even though I guess he would be considered more of an assassin than a gunslinger. He claimed to have killed 53 men by he probably inflated that number quite a bit.

Bill Tilghman, Heck thomas and Chris Madsen were known as the three guardsmen. They brought in numerous outlaws in the violent Oklahoma territory. They made their living by the gun on the lawman side. It was said there were few better with a gun then Bill Tilghman. Most of the characters named were certainly feared gunfighters. Doc Holliday, the jury is out on him. He was good with a gun but there's not much to indicate that he was in the class of Allison, Hardin and Hickok.
