Execution takes a very important place here... Genshin have an insane history but it's extremely poorly administrated during the game at the point that only the interlude missions have an actual development of the history purpose, not to mention that hoyo actually wants genshin to be a relatively bad game compared to what it could be... It makes the plot looks worse than it actually is. Luckily Star Rail is far better even with character interaction

i disagree, they had some problems around Liyue and a part of Inazuma, but since Sumeru picked up until now at Natlan, tge only good story in HSR was Penacony and the conclusion was weak for me with the all Firefly “death” things.

14:55 Looking at this now, penacony is far better than Fontaine 🥶 besides Fontaine being insane because they've successfully synchronized the nation dynamic with its history, which we ended up in an court ( by far my best experience in genshin, but all the nations have gorgeous script besides the very low actual history development)
