    What you said is very true. Not because you share secrets means hairstylists are going to lose their jobs. Everybody knows how to wash and flat iron their hair. Doesn't mean people are not going to the salon for it as well!

    This is the best method I’ve seen on my search for this particular method. Thank you for the post, looks worth a try. I didn’t like in other post how the braid is somehow wrapped with the weft hair creating a barrel in the middle. This looks more like what I was looking for to make an illusion part for my bob install. And much thanks.

    I argued on Lia Lavon page that this technique is OLD and a black lady from England created this! Shes one of the old crochet OGs and i could not find any of her old videos! This was about 11 years ago! What ticked me off is the lady charging 1,000 for the class and CLAIMING SHE CREATED THE TECHNIQUE! She went on my page one day and magically came out with another technique that i created! This same lady which it don’t take much to put a name on it! CLAIMS she Created the particular knots but shes LYING again! Look up PUATE she crochets clothes...So she demonstrates all the different knotting techniques on hair! How did she create the knot when Puate have the "Lark Stitch on her page"! Everyone in the hair world bounce techniques off each other but its GROSS to get free information and charge 1000 to teach and then claim they're the CREATOR! BTW PUATE old videos are still on RUclips....last edit! I literally knew it was a figure 8 stitch or Lark Stitch...again these are stitches that Puate goes into details about

    • @morgank98
      @morgank98 Год назад

      What's the lady's name?

    • @lionnees5479
      @lionnees5479 Год назад +2

      @morgank98 which lady are you referring too. If you're asking about the creator of the technique...I've looked trying to find her name because I don't remember. The video is about 10 years old. The lady crochet with the hair still on the track and the knots and the track was visible. Then she cut hair off the track and crochet over the track to hide it. There were no invisible parts out then. So I can say this is an improvement and revamp of the original style but to take credit is gross.

    • @lionnees5479
      @lionnees5479 Год назад +2

      @morgank98 if you are looking for videos are different stitches and knotting techniques. The name is Puate and she explains in detail the different knots

    Thank you for this! I think it's worth the $$ to have it installed, but as a non- professional I wouldn't pay for the class unless I had clients. It'd be interesting to see someone remove it without damaging the wefts, especially after washing/styling .

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  Год назад +4

      Hey sis! Thank you for watching!!! If they do the illusion all the way through the install, there's really no saving those wefts. But if they do the hybrid they can save a majority of it.

  • @chaylicedominic414
    @chaylicedominic414 5 месяцев назад +1

    thank you for sharing. i prefer this method over using braiding hair to wrap & tie down the wefts. advice/video for take down? i'm unsure how the hair can be saved for reuse with this installation method

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, the part that's sewn in, it can be taken down. But the illusion part, in my experience you have to cut that part out.

  • @Rue100
    @Rue100 Год назад +5

    This is great but its a lot OF work...and how hard is it to remove???

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  Год назад +2

      Not hard. I touched on this a bit in the video. Basically, on any part where an illusion is being made, the weft will be lost. It will have to be cut out. Now, with hybrid versions, the wefts that are just sewn in, can be taken back out like a regular sew in and reused.

  • @webaica11
    @webaica11 Год назад +1

    This is amazing! Thank you for sharing. How would we remove the tracks? Do we cut close to the braids and then it slips out?

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  Год назад +4

      Thank you so much and thank you for watching. I do have more videos coming with different methods, and how to uninstall it. But basically, if you are using the hybrid method you would take out the wefts as if you are taking out a regular sew in, but any part used for an illusion will have to be cut out by taking you finger and inserting it in the loops created around your braid and cutting those. I hope that makes sense, but I will have a demo coming out in the coming weeks.

      Yeah, you have to cut that out. After all the teasing for the illusion, that is gone.

  • @kekejull12

    Thank you I have a question how would you remove it if used expensive bundles please share
    By the way new subscriber 😊

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  Год назад

      Thanks for subbing sis! Honestly, I would use the hybrid method to salvage as much as the bundles that you can. Because once you have shaved and teased to make the illusion, those parts of the tracks are gone forever. Or shall I say it will never be the same. So do a sew in method everywhere else.

    • @ShayLuvHair
      @ShayLuvHair  Год назад +1

      Heeyy!!! Thanks so much for watching my video! 😍. Ok so, are we specifically asking about “thinning hair” or “thin hair”? Thinning hair being its currently thinning out does need any tension at all. So not only would i advise to skip this method, but skip crochet completely until we treat whatever maybe causing the thinning. Thin hair, which is just something ur born with. No breakage or balding flags , just have thin hair, yes, you can use this method. I would make sure to add braiding hair to your cornrows for extra security, but yes. ❤️ hope this helps!
