Kampala is always a shocking experience for just how busy it is for new comers...hell I've heard some New Yorkers complain too. It's only when you go to the other parts of the country that are less congested and with the stunning green landscape that you are truly wowed.
Hi Yara. What are doing in Kampala? If I heard very well, you're from Mozambique. Is Uganda an adequate place to settle in coming back from Europe as an African? This is one of my plans. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
A piece ,if u want to enjoy UG 🇺🇬🇺🇬 very well tour up country not Kampala u will know why she is called the Pearl of Africa .I call Uganda she coz it is the mother land.vist Jinja, fortportal ,hoima, and more u will thank me later
Yara, I anticipate relocating to Kampala next month for work reasons. If you are also in Kampala, and given your obvious knowledge of the city as evidenced by your excellent videos, would you at all consider allowing me to hire your services to quickly adapt and ease me in to Kampala life. BTW, I’m an Englishman.
As a Ugandan, i can confirm that all this is true😂😂😂 even the phone part. Eh never pull out your phone carelessly, a boda guy will just pass by and grab it. Same for bags. Dont just hold them carelessly. If it's a back pack, carry it infront on your stomach. Also, when sitting on a boda, make sure your bag is between you and the boda, not on your back or arm.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you will see many more countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania. Maybe you will venture West one day and show us Ghana, Sengal and Cabo Verde 🙂. Oh, apparently Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia are nice but the language barrier might not be worth the long term stay. I am talking about French, not Arabic, hehehe. Beijinhos 😙
I got used to it too! I don’t think they’re bad at all and it’s now my favorite form of transport. 😂 But we still gotta count yourself lucky for never experiencing an accident.
Surely, point no. 8 on "anyone can steal your phone" seems HIGHLY EXAGGERATED 😂. Please reconsider the "categories" of those who can steal a phone, because it's certainly NOT "anyone" (even the CEO of a Fortune 500" company surely??)😅😅😅
🤣🤣🤣 @ anyone can steal your phone, even the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Hyperbole for sure, but the point stands, keep your phone close, and keep the car windows up when stuck in traffic
Thank you for the heads up- I am
In Kampala for the first time- trying to figure what to do for my bday
Thank you for showcasing Uganda.
It's a pleasure!!
I'm a Kampala resident and I'm thankful for you. As long as you can speak either English or Kiswahili, you can talk to anyone any day, anywhere
Agree! 😊

I was a tourist in Kampala for a few months 😄. It's a good place to settle because it's cheap. But you must visit and experience it first!

Hello Philip. I’m in Nairobi now. But you should be okay. What are your “fears”? 🤗
Between Kampala and Maputo which is bigger?
Which Airbnb did you take

Hopefully yes. I would love to see more of Africa. Thanks for watching! ☺
broo this is so funny
😄I'm glad you enjoyed
Kampala has busy streets
Very busy!
We miss you
true if you panic easily avoid kampala boda bodas
Definitely 😄
❤❤❤
Most of the Ugandans I met while there this year weren’t too friendly, I can't lie. I used to say that to my Ugandan partner.
It's totally possible to meet unfriendly Ugandans as well! 🥲
@@YaraMelAround There were exceptions of course I guess I wasn't in the right area to meet the friendly Ugandans.
But Kampala is not good for tourism it's mainly for business so next time visit jinja , entebbe and other regions
As a Ugandan, I'm always amused when foreigners talk about how risky boda bodas are. Like we're so used to the danger they put us through 😅😂😂😂
I got used to it too! I don’t think they’re bad at all and it’s now my favorite form of transport. 😂 But we still gotta count yourself lucky for never experiencing an accident.
Are you denying bodas are death trap?
Bro? Get used to bodas? I can never! Born and raised in Uganda. Only lived out of Ug for four years! Bodas are verrrrry unsafe! Extremely unsafe!

It was an exagerated joke 😂 But people should be aware of everyone!!
@@YaraMelAroundthe guy in a suit deffo can. But never the CEO of a ftn 500 company..
4:11 Not walkable for what reason?
Very narrow and not paved sidewalks, too close to the road.
@@YaraMelAround ah...I thought you meant it's dangerous

Exactly 🙌🏾😂
Very funny girl, she's got good vibes 👍🏽

What business women?😄
