We need new classic versions of Gladiator and Hyperion off the retro Hercules buck. Hype would just require boots, cape, 2 headsculpts and Gladiator, new lower legs, cape and 2 headsculpts + hands, fists & optic Lazer FX for their eyes!
As a customizer pinless joints seem a nightmare, though I get going pinless from a purely aesthetic/collecting perspective, I would personally prefer visible joints but eh. All that said overall this looks really good.
@@alonzopuente9643 no one hear was crying Alonzo, just saying what we do as a hobby and a way to make money is gonna become much more difficult, I imagine you wouldn’t know what that’s like
I love the look of this figure. That goofy expression is classic Herc. I'd be tempted to use some modelling putty like Green Stuff to fill the hole where the pins are then paint em over, maybe even try to match the flesh colour on the feet to the body a bit better. I think this buck would be great for a new set of Wrecking crew. Piledriver, Bulldozer, and Thunderball would look good on this. Wrecker would nee more new sculpt.
Love this figure, this is marvels Hercules spot on, his build, his 'clothes' and his goofy expression is spot on, its why I love him as a character in the comics.
Sadly the body the way it is can be accurate my wife is pissed at the fact that my legs are naturally hairless... And I'm hairier than Hercules here on my upper body though I envy his hair lol
I think this body mold is perfect for Venom. I like the Omega Red body mold for Venom but Hercules body mold has the right proportions for Venom. Thanks for the great review!!
Wade, the best things to me is the two head sculpts. Each really capture his different moods. Using this buck would be great for more heros and villains. I appreciate the comparisons. The more Grecian Hercules would be awesome using this buck. The shirtless jokes 🤣 no Tony Atlas Beach pictures for Wade...or me too😂👍 &🤞
I do think that Hasbro needs to unify their engineering on all their figures, it's time to step up to improve aesthetics. I also find annoying to see non-matching parts on action figures, definitely, pinless joints all the way and all over the figure.
I have absolutely no idea who this character is but I really really love the way he looks and would love any excuse to get him. Later in the video... "He will look great next to his fellow avengers" He is an avenger?? That's good enough for me!
The same thing was done with the new cyclops from the house of X wave with the pinless joints. He's pinless on the elbows and has pins on the legs lol smh
I've been meaning to make a custom comic version of Battlestar, I have somewhere around 8 sentry/wonderman body duplicates for that, but this might work even better. But I don't think it's going to be as cheap as those were.
I totally agree on the consistency on the pins, both or none... Looks like two different halves of two figures put together in one. That and that he shaves his legs and not his arms hahah Fun review! I love that you are using zombie Cap America in the back.
I'm guessing there's only one set of the pinless tooling, and if another figure in the wave or another production run is using part of it, then it's not available for the others.
Man I wasn’t planning on opening up but now he’s get cracked open tonight! I agree with the pined elbows:/ I hate that hasbro does that.. The same thing happened with the ML movie Deadpool.. nice pics!
10:41 Now the 1st Hasbro Herc was a good one but had a lot of problems w/it. But one thing they got right was his scale size&costume they chose...juss sayin'.
This is a great body I hope gets used in the future. I've got a custom magneto on the grim reaper body but I almost think this would be perfect to make that classic 90s brickshithouse Jim Lee style Magneto
Omega Red buck is way too big for Gladiator who's 6'6. Retro Hercules buck is perfect for classic Wrecking crew, classic Doc Samson, classic Gladiator and Classic Hyperion along with classic Luke cage Powerman. All characters in that 6'4, 6'5 & 6'6 hgt range who are big n buff. I don't know what buck the upcoming Captain Britain is on but that also would work for those characters that I mentioned.
Great review Wade! I wonder if Namor and Hercules could swap legs. That way Hercules would be all pinned. I'm sure the pinless legs are great, but for those who want pinned legs to match the arms.
Outstanding review man, though as much as I like the figure, I'm pretty content with my Endgame wave herc. That grinning head sculpt is pretty awesome.
I forgot who did the tutorial I used to open this type of packaging w/ minimal damage, ..& I put in the older versions like Gambit & Rogue back in as displays...but yeah not buying 2.
Awesome review Wade! I see there was a lot of half assing going on with this figure and the smiling face kind of makes him look like he's drunk. 🤣 I think hasbro should raise the prices a bit to keep things like pinless joints and new bucks for future characters a constant thing! Anyways dope figure might pick him up after watching this.
@@UnparalleledUniverse I think cause I don't feel it looks bad at all, so based on that, a little bit of upgrade is cool for me, even if its not completely upgraded
I think he was SLIGHTLY on the small scale he's supposed to be almost same sizes Thor. Also his thighs prolly needed to be a little thicker also his arms needed to be more muscular...one thing Hercs known for is his MUSCULAR ARMS.
🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 Big Herc looks pretty good. I have a hard time seeing past the shaved legs and elbow pegs. All characters with bare flesh should be pinless at this point.
Ehh idk, the whole pins in or pinless joints thing never really bothered me. I mean obviously In a perfect world no pins would be great but I never really saw them as a big deal to begin with and I understand what hasbro is doing with their tooling so it is what it is I guess lol and the diaphragm joint should only be used if they do it properly, something like beast or retro Spidey or the gi joe classified articulation
What up pinless Wade! Someone could have hairy legs but not all the way down 🤷🏻♂️ that shirt is inconsistent for sure! Good looking fig! I feel the pinless tech is gonna be keeping applied gradually. When can reuse they will and when they need to do new limbs they’ll be pinless so in time pin limbs will be fading out the menu. Dude great poses! I’ll see you tomorrow 🔪
the hercules body should replace the hyperion mold
I completely agree
Eh, I’d rather a brand new one entirely
... With pinless arms better
We need new classic versions of Gladiator and Hyperion off the retro Hercules buck. Hype would just require boots, cape, 2 headsculpts and Gladiator, new lower legs, cape and 2 headsculpts + hands, fists & optic Lazer FX for their eyes!

Yeah fellow customizer here, they are a nightmare, luckily I haven’t worked with them too much
Don't cry
@@alonzopuente9643 no one hear was crying Alonzo, just saying what we do as a hobby and a way to make money is gonna become much more difficult, I imagine you wouldn’t know what that’s like
I never really thought about it that way. I only collect, so I don’t know to much about customizing, but I’m sure it is! Well… best of luck I guess!
Wade, great review! I predict that whenever Hasbro releases a classic Beta Ray Bill, you’re going to get the reveal (like with that new classic Cap).
I love the look of this figure. That goofy expression is classic Herc.

Great review Wade! This Hercules looks dope! I'd be down for another version with the skirt & leg braces as well.
Sadly the body the way it is can be accurate my wife is pissed at the fact that my legs are naturally hairless... And I'm hairier than Hercules here on my upper body though I envy his hair lol
Another solid review man! The light on the figure is darker than usual, you might want to check your camera settings.
Yeah I recently moved my set up so still adjusting
Really great pictures at the end, for someone that doesn't like their own photography you seem to take really good pictures huh Wade.
My favorite herc is definitely skirt and thigh boots too. But i am glad to see them use this buck
Kind of surprised it's a little shorter than the 80 years Thor. If anything I thought it may be a bit taller.
Thor is 6'6, Hercules is 6'5, figures are in perfect scale to one another.
At least he is taller than the previous Hercules
@@edwardsranch2686 man bun Herc is same hgt. Earlier burger king version By Hasbro was atrocious.
6:42 that transition scared me a little 😅😂
This was a pass for me, even tho I still need the first herc I don't need a buff naked man on my shelves smiling at me lol
yeah that’s why i’ve passed on the namor figure 😂 he’s cool but i really don’t wanna have a naked figure in my room💀
Wish you had the old school Herc fig to compare him too.
That face sculpt makes me smile
Where did you get your custom cape from for Thor 12:05?
I think hasbro has made a bettaray bill but its not the classic version
I will probably fill the arms with sculpting putty and just paint over them with some acrylic paints
Thinking the same thing.
I think this body mold is perfect for Venom. I like the Omega Red body mold for Venom but Hercules body mold has the right proportions for Venom. Thanks for the great review!!
17:35 AMEN, BROTHA!!!!!
Yeah man, They have come a long way!
do you think a Riot figure would be good on this body? Instead of that Monster Venom body we got?
Tempting to have a MCU Hercules soon with y'all fellow collectors!!!! 😎☕👌

A harness maybe on the chest?
The belt is removeable on the new one right? A very good base for customs.

Great review and I guess u mean a classic BRB cause we did get one with the Endgame Hulk BAF
I agree 100%, not having pinless elbows ruins this figure for me.
Now we need Herc in His OTHER Classic costume w/the chest strap and sash skirt thingy&long boot straps! See what you can do about that okay?
I’d be down for a bunch of Hercs!
That would be awesome!
How Long Does It Usually Take For The Odius Head
I created a custom Gladiator with this body mold
I think they may be using the old top torso..on a new bottom half...

Yo Wade, you ever notice that the smiling head for Herc looks like the Burger King?
My only gripe is that he doesn't come with a thumbs up hand to complement the grinning face.
I feel robbed of my goofy-ass meme recreation, man. XD
The Age of Apocalypse Sabretooth body should have been used for Hercules. That is an appropriately yoked buck.
Too tall
