Adamantine, the Greek/Olympian counterpart to the Norse/ Asgardian Uru and the mythical metal from which the Earth-based Adamantium gets its name. In short, both metals are "unbreakable," but they aren't the same.
Hercules was a member of the Avengers back during the amazing 80s run which included the classic story where the Masters Of Evil invaded their mansion and beat Herc into a coma. That's probably still my favorite Avengers story line ever.
@@jonathanhampshire6856 Yup Zemo tore up Captain's mothers photo, and of course Rogers doesn't bend or break. But the heroes win, he breaks down and says that was the only photo he had of his mother left. Great stuff.
Whatup Sharty Primo! James Holiday beat me to it about Adamantine, but as far as Herc's height is concerned, he actually measures up to Thor near perfectly (Thor-6'6/Hercules-6'5). It's one of the few times Hasbro gets comparitive scale right.
Yeah it was annoying how they never really showed how tall he was in the comic books. Specifically The Avengers. They would always draw she-hulk dwarfing Hercules & Thor for that matter when she's only 2 inches taller the Herc & 1 inch taller than Thor.
The fact that you said Hercules is the little brother that Thor never had is funny because technically Hercules is Thor’s great nephew due to Thor’s mom being Gaea aka Earth itself.
A "champion" review, Shartimus. I have him as well. I'm so glad that I have him. I have to give it up to Hasbro on making this Hercules figure retro carded.
The Herc that got beaten nearly to death by the Masters of Evil ... I have the more recent one only thing I'd take from this one is the mace ... I mean it looks good but I don't need Herc in two very similar costumes.
This figure is amazing! Also Hercules is an inch shorter than Thor in the comics plus he has on saddles while Thor has boots. I think the scale is here is perfect.
Thor is Nordic & historically Nords are taller than people with Greek ancestry so Thor being a bit taller makes sense anatomically. Quick look online gave info that Thor is 6’6” & Herc is 6’5” so again, the height is right!
@@Papan01 Yeah. I myself don't really mind 7 inch scale figures. I can also see why you and a lot of people don't like the scale for that line. For me, as long as the figure looks like what it's supposed to look like in terms of sculpt, then I'm good. I'll be happy with it. Now, for the DC License going back to Mattel, I want that to happen. But, I think Mattel should wait a few more years.
I have the dark days Herc but not 2019. When this one was revealed my initial thought was a "pass." But after reading some 80s Avengers for my Spidey, FF, DD chronology run on Unlimited, I took a liking to this Herc costume. I agree that he is THE HERCULES figure and he's now on my radar.
My 2nd Favorite Charscter in comicdome! This Herc sculpt needed to be slightly bigger, broader shoulders and slightly thicker legs. More closely to the older TB version. Hercs about the same size as Thor(and made him almost tap-out in a fight in one story, and Herc was even DRUNK in that story...juss sayin'). 6:08...YUP! HERC FOR THE MCU!!!!💪
The speedo and limited hips kill it for me. Think I'll just wait for it to be on sale, then paint a green line on the upper medial part of the thighs (see the DCUC Etrigan for example) so the trousers won't look like swimwear.

Great looking figure. This is the version I wanted. Beefier thighs than the last one. This looks more in proportion. slight gripe, I know he's supposed to be maybe an inch shorter than Thor but this and the last release look a little too short to me. Would've been great if he came with relaxed pose hands and maybe if his trunks came a little lower on the upper leg.
I'm not digging the scale. Herc's gotten smaller and smaller with each release lol. He should be taller and stockier than Thor. I would prefer him an a Wrecking Crew size. Other than that, the figure looks amazing.
In what comic or animated series have you seen Herc as being Hulk sized? You're in the minority here with that mindset. Thor is 6'6, Hercules is 6'5. Hasbro nailed the scale!
I'm really glad to have a good classic Hercules, but ultimately I still prefer the modern Hercules from 2019. Also, the Greek monsters - Gorgons, a real Hydra, a Cyclops, Pegasus (especially since we desperately need Pegasii as mounts for Valkyrie and Black Knight...), Cerberus, Centaur (Chiron?), Minotaur, Satyr, Chimera, etc etc etc etc etc etc.... Greek Mythology is FULL of stuff that's more badass than tons of Marvel stuff. .....and it's ALL canon to Marvel.... It'd be INCREDIBLE to get it in Marvel Legends. The scale between Hercules and thor is perfect :) Hercules is 6'5" and thor is 6'6"
Hercules is so wicked this figure is so cool
I really like this figure. And even if you have the Hercules from 2019, you can sort of fudge that older one into a Guardians of the Galaxy display.
Wish he had something other that those green shorts.. jIf you look closely 👀you can see his buldge.
Love the 2019 Hercules but I'm a sucker for classic figures so I preordered this one.

And was it Baron Zemo who destroyed a photo of Cap's mum?
Even while drunk it took most of the Masters of Evil to beat him.
He was a member since the mid-60s, as one of the first new member to join after Cap's Kooky Quartet.

Gerard Butler with the body of Cavill👌🏻

Saw a rumor of him being considered for Captain Britain once.

I'm getting this figure to customize as a marvel legends Conan!

Where is the skirt? The classic Hercules comic version wears a skirt.
I thought Hercules was kind of big he looks kind of small compared to Thor
Hercules is so dope😎🔥
I want them to use this buck for a retro carded Lou Ferrigno Hulk
This is a great figure , and goes well with the original and modern day Hercules
needed this for sure! i liek all the herculues even they orange one. back in the day i think he was my fav from that wave lol
Just got mine today- This is THEE 1.
I'm still waiting on pre-orders at BBTS. The only figure in my POL is Sandman. 🙄
Why do other people get Hercules early? Mine is supposed to arrive in December from BBTS.
Same with me. Plus my nearest walmarts and targets suck and never get marvel legends early. So I have to wait.

Alternate hair pieces should be a standard for MLs especially for figures with longer hair. One for vanilla and one for action poses.

How does this figure scale with Masterverse figures?
Hercules shaves his legs lol.
