not everyone buys big brands just to show off. some people work their ass off to make it places in life. maybe someone really wanted a gucci shirt for the longest time, finally being able to buy and afford it after multiple years of hard work is an award to themselves. i remember when i was in elementary school and i spent 20 bucks on a nice adidas t shirt (which was a lot to me at the time) saying adidas in big bold letters neon green letters and three stripes down my shoulders. doesn’t seem like a big deal right, but to me i saw all these other kids at schooland professional soccer players wearing them, i wanted to be like that too. so i wore that shirt for 2 months straight, every single day for the entirety of summer. to impress others, sure it crossed my mind, but it was mostly for me. everytime i looked down at my shoulders i’d see those three stripes thinking, damn, that’s so cool.
