The stories in the collection feature beloved cats, a confused snail, Martha Gellhorn, George Orwell and an alien tasked with retelling human fairy tales.
The glorious range of Atwood's creativity and humanity is on full beam in these tales, which by turns delight, illuminate and quietly devastate.

Margaret Atwood has been a part of my life beginning in Toronto. To be in her company, hear her voice, putting into words the same thoughts that I have, with her wry sense of humour is why I enjoy spending time with her books. Thank you.

How does she read the cat poem without laughing? Such a good story, and the whole book is fantastic.
