Good job. Very interesting. As Senegalese, I have been several times in Cabo Verde (Praia and surroundings, and Sao Vicente). I like this country : the landscape, the people, the discipline and the cleanliness of streets and public places.
Cape Verde is such an interesting and unusual place. On the island of Boa Vista, you can see one of the most unique forms of integration among Africans. I honestly think it’s the strongest example of pan-African integration in all of West Africa-I’ve never seen anything like it. What’s strange, though, is the divide. The wealthier areas of the city are mostly controlled by the Italians, who dominate the economy on the islands. It’s like what they’ve done in places from South Africa to Nairobi, using exploitation to stay in control. On the other hand, the African side is fascinating. You see people from all over West Africa living side by side with the local Cape Verdeans. But despite this mix, there’s still a noticeable tension. They rarely allow mixed marriages, and you can sense a deep-seated dislike or disdain toward other Africans from the locals. That’s why I think this is one of the strangest examples of integration I’ve come across.
@ well is fake integration unfortunately. Cape Verdeans see Africans as savages and that’s will never ever change because they’re the most Stubborn people I met. They do accept whites or any other races expect black Africans.

Mr. Fungo, what comparisons do U want to make between West & East African countries and Cape Verde? It amazes me when people try to make what I call some Un-make-able comparisons! The population of Nakuru city (Kenya) is same as that of the whole population of Cape Verde! Kisumu city population (Kenya) is 2 times; Kampala city (Uganda) population is 6 times; Nairobi city (Kenya) population is 8 times and Lagos city (Nigeria) is 42 times the population of the WHOLE of Cape Verde!! Why do people try to compare normal countries with a gathering of a few people on some Islands? Unrealistic! Every issue the're in any gatherings of a few people becomes many times multiplied in a normal country. Monaco cannot be compared to any European country. Please, leave that comparison venture alone!
I bet ur country only got ugly women then if that's something to u that mean u don't see them often that's a normal thing hea but i guess outsiders think different than us

After viewing the many videos of beautiful Cape Verde, I had my mind set on visiting the Island and its people...until the realization that the Island is too much of a reminder of a Portuguese and European controlled African colony. Though the people are friendly, they lack their own African culture and as in South Africa, the racial division created by the Portuguese, between mixed-race and Black Africans, I find unbearable. Alternatively, I will visit another West African or East African country with wonderful African people, a rich African culture and great beaches. Again, Cape Verde looks like a great country...but not for me. Great video!
