Hello again! They speak Kriolu, which is a Portuguese based creole language. Behind that is standard Portuguese. No other language gets above 5-10% of the population in my anecdotal observation.

Am Nigerian and have visited Praia the capital of Cape Verde twice 2023 and 2024, is peaceful out there. I stay close to the centre police headquarters where pestana hotel was. Am a lover of peace and was peaceful though was never out late night and looking forward to visit Sal island in Cape verde unfortunately lot don't speak English but manage to communicate using translator. My observation of Cape Verdens, is variety of physical features in them, some look more African and some look to be of mixed race, they look more like us in South Africa were theres dark skinned Africans, light skinned Africans and mixed race population which is as a result of mix race relationship and nothing extraordinary. 🇿🇦🇿🇦

They are taught Portuguese, French and Italian at school. Spanish comes easy being that jts similar to Portuguese.

There is no significant Islamic culture in Cape Verde other than the Guinean and Senegalese traders who come to the country as immigrants.
