the 2019 little women movie adaptation is to die for, i would really recommend watching it especially if you enjoyed the book, it’s sooooo good i cannot stress it enough
Chloe Walsh breaks your heart in tiny peaces and then rebuilds it. These books are hard to read but this happens in real lite and i like that she despicts Them in a real way. And i love these characters and i am so proud of Joey and How the greatest thing that Can bring back a person is LOVE as she never gave up. It gives hope in the darkest moment. That it’s why it is worth reading it. Love edel 😂
I am about to finish keeping 13 and totally agree, the books are heavy but so worth the characters’ friendships/relationships. I have the attention span of a peanut so I’ve been listening to the audiobooks. If the length of the books is what steers you away please check out the audiobooks. These characters are so precious and worth it🥺❤️
You NEEEED to read Rule of the Aurora King and Fate of the Sun King, both 5 star reads for me and both SO GOOOD 👏👏👏 Fate of the Sun King gives us sooo many answers and some new POV’s and it is just INSANE!
Rachel I am always waiting for your new videos and whenever you posts a new video it's put a huge smile on my face😀😀💖💖 and I really really love to read books so so so much
Rach I read A Novel Love Story because of your vlog and it was also 5 stars for me!! Such a magical, special book 🥰 thank you for being the reason i had this experience!
Great wrap-up💕. I read A novel love story because of you and I loved it and also gave it 5 stars. It was so good. Also Redeeming 6 is one of my favorite books that I've read this year. It's definitely very sad though.
This is a great video and I am so glad I found your channel, but I did want to point out Little Women is not Historical Fiction at the time the book was written it would have been realistic or contemporary fiction but as it was published around 1870 it has a historical context that is odd to us reading it now.
I loved Trial of the Sun Queen and Two Twisted Crowns. I originally read The Shepherd King series as library books and then bought them after I read the second one. You should try a re-read when you’re more in the mood!
I don’t know if she has it and i feel bad to ask her since it’s super personal but i love when booktubers or book people talk about mental health and read about it. It makes me feel less weird
My favourite book of July was "Return to Sender" by Lauren Roberts. She's an Aussie author, but I'd recommend her first book, "The Museum of Broken Things" it is my favourite book ever ❤❤❤
Yayyy! I am so happy you read Little Women! It is one of my favorite books of all time! I know you are going to Boston fairly soon, so I would 100% recommend you visit Louisa May Alcott's home. It is not far, and as you likely know, the book was based off of her life and so it is so neat to see the house where they grew up! 90% of everything in it is still intact and original. I felt as though I was walking in a dream. PLS visit!!!! Also, as for a movie recommendation, because you said you weren't completely happy with how things ended up, I would definitely recommend the 2019, and not the 1994. With the 1994, I was thoroughly disappointed with how they carried it out. You could not see the motives behind people's actions and both times I have watched it, I have walked away literally feeling sick. But the 2019 version is incredibly beautiful, and though of course they do not change the outcomes, I actually could understand their choices better! And all in all, the characters were so alive, and the production was so well put together. Anyway, I am so happy you enjoyed Little Women!!!
love love loved this video! garden city is amazing!! i adored ali and ethan in summer romance, such a lovely book. highly highly highly recommend "the ex vows" by jessica joyce! it's giving happy place
Next of kin comes before next to you and is definitely the better of the two books. The year I met my brain is such a fantastic ADHD book, highly recommend
I'm struggling to read Two Twisted Crowns for the same reasons, honestly. I will probably power through it soon, but it's definitely not meeting my expectations considering how much fun I had with One Dark Window.
My favourite book I read this month was the 2nd book of The Mirror Visitor Quartett by Christelle Dabos. I am rereading the series for the 3rd time right now hahah 😅 the 2nd book was always my favourite! Love watching your videos! ❤
I love your sweater! Also, thank you for showing how much you read from your TBR. How do you choose your next read when you’re not reading your TBR? Just scan your shelves and choose what calls to you?
I loved the defy the night series. Its plot is more politically driven rather than magic or even romance but there is some romance in it and the next 2 books have twists and turns I didn’t see coming so I would recommend continuing ☺️
if you liked a novel love story and Ashley poston you should read the love of my afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood! i’m reading it now bc all Ashley poston books are 5 stars to me and someone said it was like her books and IT IS I LOVE IT!
My favorite book that I read in July is Just for the Summer! It was amazing 💖 also, I have been reading John Mark Comer’s books as well’ they are so good and practical for everyday life.
The way you were trying not to explicitly compare the Sun Queen to the Hunger Games hahaha. I just listened to a little book called "The Match" by Sarah Adams and I highly recommend. It is about seizure dogs and family and was so light and wholesome and romantic, and the main female character felt like it was straight up written about me. Great bedtime book if you haven't read it. Read "Wreck the Halls" if you want a more spicy but romantic bedtime book. We love the inclusion of non-fiction books.
Hi rachel! Loved this video. I was wondering, would you recommend the adhd book to someone who has it or is it more for non-neurodivergent people to understand how it works?.
I also gave trial of the sun queen 4 stars, but I really didn’t like the second one LOL I felt like there was no plot! This made me more excited to read novel love story 🥰
13:18 I haven't read Defy the Night but I will say Brgid Kemmerer's other series, A Curse So Dark & Lonely, improved the further in I read and now I want to read all her books
I didn’t even realize the TOG comparison when I read Trial of the Sun Queen. The next book in that series is extremely ACOMAF-esque. Is the third one gonna be like Crescent City? 😅
My favorite book I read in July is a tie between The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams or A Million Junes By Emily Henry. They are fun Romances that are really sweet and good. A Million Junes does have some magic in it which I loved! You’d like these if you haven’t read them already!
Rachel Rachel Rachel... You have to continue the Defy the Night series, i SWEAR. I haven't read the third and final one but I have heard AMAZING things about it; people say it is an amazing finale, every single question you have during the series is answered. But, I have read the second book and GURLLLLL, it is honestly so good... I had the same feeling as you with the first one, but trust me, the second one is SOOO good. You get new characters, a whole new setting from the fist book , a lot happens in this one... And also I sense the possibility of a queer character, and being who it is, I WOULD LOVE IT TO BE TRUE.👀
I have thought about picking "Defy the Night" up but I am just not sure... I have read nothing last month but I hope I will be reading a bit more this month 🤞🏻😊
Please read Next of Kin by Hannah Bonam Young!!🥺🙏 it comes before Next to you which, like yourself, I just didn't vibe with. But Next of kin is so sweet💕 not AS good as out on a limb but still fantastic!
Oh my goodness pls read cursebreaker series by Brigi d Kemmerer. It's a trilogy. 6⭐️ series for me. First book is a beauty and the beast retelling. Obviously it's a romantisy I would love to see u read this I think u would love it
i finally listened to you and read love & other words and wow… it was soooo good. cried, laughed, remembered what it feels like to be in love, really connected with Macys story,… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BUT i somehow read two books that were even better. funny story and good grief (by brianna pastor). i had an amazing reading month 😍 let‘s hope august is amazing, for all of us 🙏🏼
Let me know if the whole trial of the sun queen series is very spicy. I want to read it but heard it has some spice in the later books. I’m ok with some but not a ton 3/10 is the most I am willing to read. If you’ve read throne of glass series or the serpent and the wings of night series if the spice is like those or less I’m ok with it.
Sara, Destiny, and Rachel in ONE DAY?!?!?! WE WON!!!🎉🎉
YESSA
the 2019 little women movie adaptation is to die for, i would really recommend watching it especially if you enjoyed the book, it’s sooooo good i cannot stress it enough
I 💯 agree! That’s my favorite movie ever! It’s definitely a comfort movie for me!
“i am dramatic and will continue to be dramatic, especially about books” literally tattoo this on my forehead
Just continue this series plzzz😭😭it’s one of my fav!! “Defy the night” series, the books gets better!!
The premise of a novel love story also sounds phenomenal to me so I’m glad to finally see a great review for it 🤗🌟
Love hearing you talk about Christian non fiction books too!! Haven’t heard of that author before, definitely interested to look him up now ☺️
Practicing The Way by John Mark Comer is so good!
Stop I’m SO excited to read ‘A Novel Love Story’ now! It’s been on my TBR for way too long and you’ve definitely just convinced me to read it
Blue is your color!! Looks so cute!
Love edel 😂
I’m so glad you read deft the night! It’s an amazing series and totally worth it. I hope you read the rest of them!
I am about to finish keeping 13 and totally agree, the books are heavy but so worth the characters’ friendships/relationships.
Your reaction to some things that happened in Little Women is so real. Also I'm so happy you read it and liked it!
plsss continue the defy the night series!! the second one was my fav of the trilogy

Had such a difficult day but I'm glad to finish it with a video from you Rachel ❤
Great wrap-up💕. I read A novel love story because of you and I loved it and also gave it 5 stars. It was so good. Also Redeeming 6 is one of my favorite books that I've read this year. It's definitely very sad though.
I felt the EXACT same about Defy the Night. I read the first one and haven’t thought about it since.
first

I read ruthless vows, binding and keeping 13. soo heartbreaking I sobbed so much in the last book
The 2nd book in The Trial of the Sun Queen series is so good! I haven’t read the next but I’m excited to continue!
I read A Novel Love Story because of you and oh my goodness, it was so magical and fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love the defy the night series! Continue it!
I loved Trial of the Sun Queen and Two Twisted Crowns. I originally read The Shepherd King series as library books and then bought them after I read the second one. You should try a re-read when you’re more in the mood!
so many of my fave bookish people have adhd! it's so nice to feel less alone.
I don’t know if she has it and i feel bad to ask her since it’s super personal but i love when booktubers or book people talk about mental health and read about it. It makes me feel less weird

When reading redeeming 6 I also had to take a break around half way bc it was so much. I love it though. 5⭐️

ALSO you ABSOLUTELY MUST watch the 2019 version of Little Women by Greta Gerwig. it is SO WELL DONE!!
