I found out about L'Hotel from an Anthony Bourdain interview. On a very rainy day in December 2021 we snuck into the lounge and sat there for 4 hours drinking wine and reading Oscar Wilde plays. It was a Paris highlight for us!
Thank you Les Frenchies for reviewing these Left Bank hotels. I've stayed at Hotel de Lille and it was delightful and so well located. The other hotels you've reviewed look wonderful too. I hope I can get back to Paris before long. I really enjoy your videos, merci!
I stayed in La Belle Juliet on the recommendation of a coworker and at least four guests mentioned picking the hotel based off this video so I came to check it out! Very well done I would also mention in favor of that particular hotel is the staff is great at assisting in airport transfers!
Fabulous video! Thanks for your detailed info. I personally find that the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area of Paris is the best to stay at. I stayed at a small boutique there as well - the Relais Christine, on Rue Christine. It’s a bit pricier than the ones in this video, but I suggest you take a look at it as well. Thanks again!
Watched your video on hotels on Left Bank and so informative. I booked Le Belle Juliette based on your video and will be visiting in July 2023. I’ve downloaded your Paris guidebook and plan to visit many of your recommendations. Thank you both for your videos, they are so very helpful.
You put a lot of work into your videos which I enjoy very much. I do spend a lot of time in choosing my hotels when we travel. Rue de Lille is a lovely quartier. Last November we stayed at Hôtel Mansart we love ! Will try one or 2 of your suggestions 👍 next time.
Thank you! This was a great and informative video. Probably one of the best I’ve seen in a very long time! Professional yet very personable. I really appreciated the time you took to explain and show places nearby as well. I can tell how much hard work it took to produce. You deserve a million subs!!!
Just booked at Monte Cristo Hotel in the quartier Latin. They have a pool to relax after a long day. Excited! All reviews gave 5/5. I got a suite for more room. Price very reasonable.
What a great video! I stumbled across this video and love it. Great video of Paris which I also love! I look forward to watching more of your videos! Thank you!
I've stayed at Hotel de Lille before. Glad to see your overview of other hotels on the Left Bank. It's so hard to pick a hotel with so many choices. I like Saint Germain area.
I am seriously loving your insider views and highlights with all the dizzying (is that a word?!) options in Paris. I will certainly refer over and over for future visits to Paris. Thank you! Merci beaucoup :)
These are really great tips for the Left Bank. In July, 2021, I stayed at Le Pavilion de la Reine which was truly wonderful located at the heart of the Marais. I am planning to fly back in September and these hotels will be a great start in doing my research!
Love both of you, i was searching about paris and i end up seeing all your videos in a single go. Just one word love love and love. I am planning to visit paris in next winter and i really wish to meet you guys atleast for once. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Moreover please do video on photoshoot in Paris for tourists if possible
Way back in 2019 I made us prepaid reservations for 2020 at an ibis hotel near the canal Saint Martin. Here it is 2022 and I still have a credit there that we are going to (hopefully) use for our May trip. If be lying if I said that your videos didn't make me want to ditch my credit and explore other options.
My bf loves to find a nice hotel in a city as well. We booked a nice room last week near Luxembourg Garden in Paris. It’s a great fun to see how you both introduce 5 unique hotels in Paris. Great job 👏
Here is a great idea ( at least I think so ) … How about a review a Paris’ rooftop bars!!! We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Paris - Notre Dame at 4 Rue Danton in the 6th. From there you had a view of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. Rumors indicate it might be closed … hopefully not. Would love to hear your reviews.
If I had the money to travel, I would want to stay in these boutique hotels all look like private’s homes but clean and charming, honor bars breakfast and atmosphere. But one can dream. I never was interested in Paris until I watched your shows you know it so well, what a place of many pleasures! 😉
@@LesFrenchiesTravel I can feel that from how you and your hubby speak about it, I have to admit Paris looks very special, I watch Ina Garten she is a self made cook, makes delicious foods, I've made a few of her recipes and they always come out like her's. She and her husband Jeffry adore Paris I guess they go often, she loves the French Food. They have filmed there but I have never got the feeling from her and Jeffry like I have from you two, maybe because she has a cooking show. 🤷
You guys are amazing, thank you so much for really good information about Paris. My family and I are going to Paris for the first time for 3 days in May. Can you recommend a hotel where you can sleep 3 people. Merry Christmas. Regards, Hannah
Thanks for reviewing these hotels! Love your videos. We are about to visit Paris for the first time. Unfortunately these are a bit out of our budget. Do you happen to know anything good or bad about "Hotel Moderne Saint Germain" in the 5th arrondissement? I'm looking for a decent place that's good value for 4 adults, so likely need two rooms at most hotels. I might consider an AirBnB too. Would love your thoughts. Thanks again!
We stayed at the Hotel Madison on Bd Saint-Germain across from the St Germain des Pres Church. The staff was beyond helpful and polite. This hotel is very well placed with The St-Germain-des-Pres metro station is right there. The famous Les Deux Magots brasserie is across the corner. There are wonderful sidewalk cafes and restaurants about three blocks to the NE on Rue de Buci. There are other restaurants and shops of all kinds to the south. The St Sulpice Church is 2 blocks to the south (it really is huge). And the Large Luxemburg Gardens is 3-4 blocks to the south. When I go back to Paris I will be staying at the Hotel Madison again.
We enjoyed your video on the best 5 boutique hotels. We are traveling to Paris in early December and would appreciate your recommendations for a boutique hotel near the major attractions. We also want to catch the Eurotrain to London after our stay in Paris.
If you haven’t decided already I just stayed at La Belle Juliet at it was fabulous you can walk to the Luxembourg, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, the Eiffel Tour , Le Bon Marche, all the famous left bank restaurants and the metro and Montparnasse station are incredibly close, on a practical note if you can request a room on the fourth floor you get fabulous street views of an embassy with out any of the noise although the windows are sound proof and there are black out curtains. Enjoy your trip!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel it does, thinking that’s where I am going to stay for my trip in May. Do you like the location ? It looked quite good to be but definitely value your opinion. Thank you 😀
Not sure if someone mentioned it, but L´Hotel was where Anthony Bourdain stayed on the first episode, Paris, of his show No Reservations. He stayed in Oscar Wilde´s room and swam in the hotel's pool.
We've also stayed at the Hotel Louis 2 on the rue Saint Sulpice, the same street as the Hotel Odeon, but find the rue Casimir Delevigne a much quieter street. But as someone at the Hotel Odeon told me "Saint Germain is the only place in Paris".
Bonjour Monsieur Madame le Frenchie's. Would you recommend the hotel Louis II in Saint Germain. We are staying in Jan 2024. I want your blog's. all the time which are excellent. Keep up the great work. 😊
Je trouve que c'est une excellente idée. De toute façon en voyage, on est jamais au même endroit très longtemps et on est rarement avec les mêmes personnes.
I’m going to assume you guys had a falling out with the staff at Hotel Odéon LOL!! I booked a room, told them I saw their hotel on your vlog and they gave me the smallest room available facing a bunch of exhaust fans for almost $200. And no they weren’t sold out, THIS is what they chose for me, je suis American so I get it.
Nice Hotels…but I tried to get a room…Standard…nocthing Fancy… for 3 Nights? 850-1300€ ??? Sorry…1600,-… just Updated. The Hotel prices in that city were exploding in the last years…

Great insight to the Left Bank Hotels - think I might stay that side next time 😍😍. Love your videos
So many wonderful places to consider when we go back to Paris (we hope). I must say that spa in the DaVinci looked most inviting.

❤ the hotel with bookshelves inside the rooms.
May i strongly recommend an update to this list with La Narcisse Blanc - i stayed there in December and it blew me away! Absolutely stunning!

We've stayed at the Hotel Delevigne on the rue Casimir Delevigne 3 times and we'll stay there on our next visit to Paris. Recommended.
We've also stayed at the Hotel Louis 2 on the rue Saint Sulpice, the same street as the Hotel Odeon, but find the rue Casimir Delevigne a much quieter street. But as someone at the Hotel Odeon told me "Saint Germain is the only place in Paris".
Great suggestions. Do you recommend booking through the hotel site directly or through travel sites? Thank you.
It's better to book directly with the hotel. If you find a better rate elsewhere the hotel will likely match it.
