I haven't seen the drama but one of the video shows that mom is not good so I though mom made fuss but then watched this video second time and I can tell mom genuinely wants to speak for her daughter and the fiance is still standing near door even after the fl mom screamed and even after the girl came He still didn't take the girl's side It's good to leave there are many fishes in sea. You shouldn't hang yourself on someone who doesn't support you.

Chenghuan always has to figure out a way to clear something up whenever something goes wrong. Even despite his family she would have eventually realized that Jialing is not a person who can withstand any hardships. Everything in life has to come easy to him.
I love it when the girl characters in these dramas have self-worth and don't lose themselves. When getting with a boy and know they can leave whenever.
I was crying watching this episode....but it's better now because he will always be the same even after getting married, maybe he's just a sweet boyfriend and son but not a good husband yet, he needs time to stand like a man coz having family is a different chapter.
"If its meant for you, It should be easy" Not everyone would believe this but I have this mindset & It helped me let go w/o going through so much pain & love my self more. This drama speaks so much of this.. Anyways Xu Kai in a modern drama is always such a delight for me 😂
The way my family raised the boys in it. They raise them to be men, and if these men are married to women and have children, that's their new family my mother speaks out of term. I will either say something or my brother will say something if it's about his wife, there has to be boundaries. You can still love and respect your mother without her walking all over you.
I do love the main actress though. She's very talented. Mother unbelievable, I get so frustrated. If my mother did that to me behind my back continually I couldn't.
It is a very happy🥰thing that both my favorite actors are working in a drama but the sad🥺thing is that both of them are love rivals💔, so I have not courage to watch this drama😭😭.
When I see clips from the drama with him in it, he doesn’t really say anything to defend her. I just want to lecture him, stand up for her if you really like her. If you encounter a similar situation, either stand up for them or let go of each other. Yes it’s your family but insulting someone, looking down on them especially of your partner’s family is just inappropriate. You could be my parent, sibling, relative, friend, if you insult and look down on my partner don’t expect a call or visit from me. It’s already a red flag if they insult or look down on random people. Don’t go into a marriage if the way it’s going between the two parties is going to be like them. Being mean and disrespectful is not only something I don’t want in a relationship but the relationship between two families.
Her mom's character is the most annoying... I know, mom has the exclusive rights to nag, to worry & to think the best for their children. But not being intrusive, shameless & disrespectful of her daughter's feeling/life...
She gets it from both ends; this lady has no peace in her life. I think this is before the mother pulls a u-turn and try force the marriage right? Her mother is of the same side of the coin as that boys sister that's why they are always at each other throat. She can end it with him but the hell's mouth of a mother she still has to go home with. And personally I'd NEGOTIATE a prenup any day of the week because I already know the most important thing to me in the event of a divorce and it ain't got nothing to do with money cause that I can earn my dang self. I want peace!
Yes, this incident was before the surprised engagement party she tried to set up her daughter. I’m also in agreement with you that I would negotiate a prenup as well to protect myself. Gotta learn to protect yourself.
I don’t think it was necessarily a matter of signing or not signing the prenup, but the fact that they tried to curry so much favor from her (using her mom to get to Yao, buying the apartment in order to get her to influence the bid, etc), even after she already knows what they really think of her before they learned of her connection to Yao Z and then on top of it she finds out that a prenup was drafted behind her back!! As if they still viewed her as a gold-digger. They can take from her when needed but guard themselves against her as if she’s the user. I think that was just another breaking point for her. Maybe (big maybe) she would have tried to make it work if Jialing hadn’t avoided all of her calls and completely ghost her after the bidding went sour. But per usual he kept his distance and she had to find a way to clear her own name. And even after knowing that she was innocent they still tried to slander her to her mother. I think Chenghuan finally accepted that this ship had been slowly sinking for awhile and finally decided to stop trying to save it.
The fact that later when her mother and that family sets up an engagement party without her knowledge, and she didn't slap her mother or say: You hurt me mother. makes me a little angry.
I don't understand why people make a fuss on signing pre-nup unless they are really gold digger. It should be automatically included in the marriage contract to avoid over sensitive partner/parents like this story. Any money she and he owned before marriage should not be considered as marriage assets. Basic logic.
Her mum, overshadowed the show,it felt like she was the main character. If not for that it would have been better. Room many scenes with the Mums craziness and not enough romance scenes with the main leads
The toxic mom energy ruined this drama for me. This is her in almost every scene. Way too much involvement in their child’s lives. Let’s just make her the FL. Otherwise it could have been a good drama. Just saying😏 As always, loved Xu Kai. Jeez mom had more screen time than XuKai😂
This show. I can't stop watching It. Because I hate the mother. She is the mother I would never want and I don't know how anybody can put up with her. This makes me not want to watch Anymore. Chinese dramas because it's so frustrating to know addition. They're so controlling like that. This reminds me of human trafficking. These people have children just so that they can marry them off to a rich family so that they can become wealthy themselves. They can't be happy with life. Just the way it is. They always have to have something better. Better. It's not always better. Money does not bring happiness. It's either you're happy or you're not in this woman. This mother is miserable
Actually neither I liked her mother nor the ex boyfriend. Her mother was always way too demanding and her bf was good but not mature enough to handle her family and his own family 😏😏
Ok but then her mother turned around later in the series and was so damned disrespectful to her own daughter, by planning a whole engagement party when she knew her daughter had broken up with him (partly because of her too!) and then tried to manipulate her daughter into getting married even after the daughter said she didn’t want too! Tbh I haven’t watched the whole show yet, but I really didn’t like the FL’a mother much. In this show (at least the first half anyway!?🤷♀️
It's always the same script , the same script in every Chinese drama the same rich boy poor girl , misunderstanding, jealousy etc the same ingredients are there in every Chinese drama 😂😂
I really like this drama if there is no mother of female lead, she is a really problematic person, after this scene she still wants to marry her daughter to the son of that problematic family So i stop watching
