LOL. I never studied what I chose. I was enrolled in Bachelor of Science, then Education with a Major and a Minor. I'm the youngest and a Female. I was VolunTold. This issue is not just in the Asian community. Majority of Societal Belief still put female as a lower class than males.
If my mom treated me like this I don't care if she carried me for nine months but since I endured it till I grew up that's enough repayment and I'm definitely returning the slap. Anyways bravo to those that keep up with this I'm happy my mom doesn't treat me anything close to this love you mom ❤❤

when I first saw this scene in the episode, when the mama said I'm doing this for you to be happy I was like omfg she so did NOT! and sure enough she did! a wedding for her own daughter when Huan has already repeatedly over and over that Jialing and Huan has broken up. Like wtf! I did not like the mama. So negative about her life. So negative about her husband. So negative about their lifestyle. I was like don't look at the negative! Look at the bright side. You have two brilliant children. You have a husband who loves you wholeheartedly regardless of what you do. Hmm yeah she's difficult to live with. However, I am in later episodes now. I am starting to like the mama more. It took her time but she's learning her lessons. About time!
You know, parents, especially mothers (not all though) gave up a lot for we the children and the family, and in turn sometimes don't respect our values as children because they still see us with the eye of that little kid. And we shouldn't be stereotypical it happens to both gender and not only in marriage but also in other spheres of our lives like decision making. But one of the things we see as children is the harshness that is being thrown at us, but let us remember that they don do not feel the way we can see, all they do is out of Love! And sometimes things might even get frustrating for them that they tend to channel those uncertainty towards us. Only if we didn't sum it all up by the way they put it out. Our fathers and mother work their but off day and night just for our well-being, they have given up themselves, their passion for our sakes and guess what? All those hopes and inabilities have been laid upon us. So what? Should we overlook the pressure and unfair treatment they put us through? Should we ignore the fact that they fail to put our own interests to heart? NO! What then! As children, we should endeavor to put our parents to heart, we shouldn't fail to see their love and desires for us to be the best in life. Let's know that they do all they do out of love. Whenever we experience any conflict with our parents in the future, please let us ensure to be able to come down to their level as much as possible and in the most loving and meekest way possible, sincerely explain how we feel to them. Remember after our Creator in heaven they are next and we can NEVER do without their blessings❤. Remember they love you more than you can EVER imagine! Don't see the harshness but the love. So far i had watch until episode 31.. Spoiler alerr!!! There are 2 scene that makes me in tears. 1. When huan applying a band aid to her mama's feet 2. When huan hugs her brother knowing he is injured during delivering food.. Apart from these 2 scenes,i usually was totally annoyed & cursing their mama. Such a shameless, intrusive & disrespectful character!!
they already broke up so how will she suddenly accept his proposal??. He didn't have any sense to understand and besides they broke up bcs of him lying tp her and never standing up for her when his family hated her and treated her and her family bad. so why should we pity him?
