How To Backup A Mac On An External Hard Drive

Let's show you how to back up a Mac computer on an external hard drive.
In this video, I walk you through the steps to back up your MacBook or Mac desktop on an external hard drive. First, open System Preferences and then go to Time Machine at the bottom and open it. Click on Select Backup Disk and then plug your external hard drive into your machine. Select the external hard drive and then click Use Disk. Note that the external hard drive needs to be empty. Any files on it will be erased during the backup.
