Cant remember what grade I was in at the time but my brother and I were lucky enough to get the Technodrome as a present and endless begging. One of the coolest toys ever in my opinion. We were right into the turtles no doubt about it. Probably my best memories as a kid was playing with turtle toys but also He-man as well.
I lost it when I got this as a kid and ran through the house screaming technodrome!!! I had so many fun times with this set I need to pick up one for my collection now
I use to have one when i was young. My mom had just read an article about the fact that kids used to find that playset boring. That could'nt be farther from the truth cause when i finaly got mine, i was always playing with it.
My grandmother bought me one for my birthday. I begged her at this toy store called PLAY CO. I'll never forget opening my present and seeing it. I almost fainted.
I was fortunate to have this and the sewer played. Seeing your turtles hanging on the guns took me back. At one point I stored my movie version of the action figures on my technodrome just like that.
The only Technodrome I ever had was the Mega Bloks version. It's a bit larger than the Playmates one, but scales better with the figures for said line. Alas, it was a nightmare to build and crazy fragile once assembled. Though it'd be cool to see an updated version of the playset, but maybe with the smaller in-scale figures to populate it.
I had a ton of Tmnt figures back in the day. But never owned this playset. Always thought it was badass. Fantastic review. Your vids go into such detail. I'm a huge fan. Keep them coming!!!!🤘The way you did the vid...The camera shots remind me of a toy commercial from the 80s. Great stuff. You rock dude.
I wish I had owned one of these as a kid. It's definitely one of the best playsets ever released. It would be awesome if Super 7 made one, even though it would be huge. I love the idea of a vintage toy review. I don't know if anyone else is doing it but Its a stellar concept. Keep up the great videos Ed!

The technodrome reminds me of the giant Gi Joe aircraft Carrier or the Lego Death Star or Transformers Generations Metroplex, the toys that you really wanted but could have since they were oh so expensive.
Always wanted it, but never found it in stores back in the day! 😭 Did get the Mega Bloks Technodrome set a few years ago, even though shipping costs made it crazy expensive! 😅

The Icon of the toyline in my opinion. I have the Turtle base, the Party Van, and the Technodrome, all 100%. Everybody that see them instantly go to the Technodrome. It's The piece :)

The drome has to be one of the best playset/vehicles of all time.id love to get a box for the one I have in my toy room for display.mines in great shape with all the pieces but I’m missing some of the slime splatter stickers on the base.
I grew up with the 200 turtles but I still watched these turtles & i love them, sadly these toys weren’t around when I was a kid but it looks amazing ! I had the 2003 tmnt lair play set but this is much better

@@EdsRetroGeekOut Yes In 2016 the ghostbusters Mattles slime. they had a little. But was like $12. for a little ghost figure & once of slime. MY Mom never bought us the ooze made a mess. I tricked her one day & Actually got some & never ever told her til a few years ago.
TMNT unfortunately came out a little too late. I was young enough to enjoy the cartoon and the early action figures but not the later stuff. At least not in public :)

Yeah, definitely! I live in Belgium and I still have my old TMNT (or in this case, TMHT 😂) VHS tapes. Everything over here had to be renamed and even the lyrics to the theme song had to be changed. Apparently this was also the case in the U.K., Austria, Germany, and Norway.
I thought so! I'm from the UK and its just something that always stuck with me, that and fast food flinging fight And all out of wontons. I lived those old VHS tapes 😂

In Europe it was. The word Ninja and Nunchucks were banned over there. Hence why Mike uses a grappling hook later on
