2024 Frozen Four race #1 Connecticut crit racing

fast and safe course. we were getting headwind on the final portion before the finish line.
This was the B race Cat3/4. The race had several attacks but nothing really stick due to the willingness of all the teams to chase.
I race for New Haven Angels and my team mate Nate Belke helped to be in a good position at the end of the race. I was able to take the last turn in position 5 or so. I didn't have any legs for the sprint and finished 7th.
Let's hope for a better outcome next week.

You move up on lap 5 because of the opportunity on the inside or to get out of the bunch?

@louism7161 hitting the brakes in bike racing is wasting energy. The bunch slowed down and I had momentum so it was an easy opportunity to move forward 👌🏽 but I didn’t mean to get away from the pack. ( not because I don’t want to, I just don’t have the legs to stay away 😅) and I ended up next to my New Haven Angels team mate
