Your story is both heart breaking and joyful. Loosing a child is so difficult, my 83 yr old mother has buried 2 children in under 24 months as well as 3 grandsons. 2 as infants and the latest between my 2 siblings. The most recent grandson was only 18 yrs old and died in an accident just 8 months after his father… my youngest brother. In just 36 months we have lost my husband, my father, my youngest brother, my favorite nephew, and one of my sisters. The heart break and shock is over whelming. But knowing there is eternal life brings joy in knowing when our time comes we will be with them again.

Now believing in a higher power and what happens to one's soul, is something completely different. To tell someone they're loved one is not dead when they in fact, died, is not the right thing to say to someone. It's ok to accept death. It's ok to believe in God. To say they're not dead, is just your belief. The body dies, and that's ok.

About the headstone: I used to own a copy of Universal Studios and Working Title Production “United 93”. In the special features,(I am not sure which family) The daughters are shown a headstone and the widow explained to the girls,this talks about the day your dad died when his life was taken by Ziad Samir Jarrah,Ahmed Al Hasnawi,Saeed Al Nami (and Al Gamadi) along with 44 other people with your dad.
