Back after 18 months to say this is definitely a solid classic album. I can't go long without wanting to hear it again, it's so enjoyable time after time. Sounds great on vinyl too, get it if you can for full pirate experience!

@@dannydevitto9501 A eso mismo se refiere Javier. La banda busca sonar como Runing Wild y lo consigue, pero aunque no hayan inventado la rueda (la pólvora como lo comenta el) el disco suena fresco y nos remonta a la mejor época del heavy metal pirata. Saludos.

The true children of Captain Rock'n Rolf
Yeah, this album will be talked about years from now. This is Ced's magnum opus. I loved all the previous Blazon Stone records but this one stands above them all. I think the phrase "all killer, no filler" gets thrown out way too much. But this album deserves that stamp. This is a triumph. Best album ive heard in years.

To give some "behind the scenes" information how I approach writing music:
I wrote material for almost 3 albums in total and chose the absolute best songs of the bunch (in my opinion) for this album.
That is a recommendation for all bands out there: if you wanna record a 8-10 song album... Overwrite at least 2x or even 3x as much material and then rinse out whatever that doesn't hold up.
If you can write TWO HUNDRED songs, you can chose the best 8-10 and possibly have a modern classic at your hands =)
Whenever I write something, I tend to only spend a few minutes per new idea, if it doesn't catch on, I move on and write something else. I don't spend much time with every song. If I get naturally get a good song with no effort, that's usually a winner.
But always record and save your ideas! "Highland Outlaw" for example became a "frankensteins monster" of a few different old song ideas I wrote maybe 2 years ago that never felt relevant back then, but I took the best parts, extended with new ideas (that arrived naturally and fast) and suddenly I had that "epic closer" that I seen fans missing on "Down In The Dark" (2017) and "Hymns Of Triumph And Death" (2019)... I TRIED writing epic closers for both those albums, but the caps word explains it: TRIED.
Everyone has different approach to writing songs, if you work best from dedicated days or weeks on one song to perfect it; that's great.
However I actually (!) have a personal "motto" which I apply to all my song writing:
"There's always a better song around the corner"
I swear by this every time I have song writing session. I keep churning out new ideas on a rapid basis and every now and then you find a diamond.

I disagree. Those are great albums too that has gotten a shit ton of plays over the years. But this album is superior from top to bottom IMO. You disagree and that’s fine. Blazon Stone is incredible regardless

Этот, клон у Седрика получился намного лучше, нежели клон на ранний Blind Guardian.
Да, и Running Wild в анг. языке это два прилагательных, которые ни как не слагаются. То есть устоявшиеся выражение, означающее что-то типо Воспитанный улицей.
