And still are able to attract young people or new audiences in general (mostly with their old stuff, but anyway). I don't know why people put comments like this. I mean, do they expect Justin Bieber level of popularity? My bet is that Running Wild and the like will still be listened to in 100 years, as opposed to the 95% of popular music originating in "our times", with little to none musical content

Nice. I remember listening to this tune sometime in summer of '93 and being mesmerized by this incredibly somber, with church - like sound and harmonies guitar intro. I really liked how it seamlessly transitioned into the very energetic song. Great memories. Timeless track (I hope).

Running Wild is an awesome band whose style, to me, parallels Iron Maiden. Not saying one copies the other, they both started at about the same time. But that both their styles sound similar and unique at the same time. Both bands kick ass!
I felt Running Wild borrowed heavily from classic metal bands like Judas Priest, Saxon (can even see a Biff Byford influence in Rolf's voice) and classic rock bands such as Thin Lizzy. They then added their faster power metal style to it as well. Their earlier albums were more raw speed metal influenced heavily by the NWOBHM. I cannot find any Iron Maiden influence whatsoever in this band.
Maiden is mostly gallop while Running wild is mostly about triplets in the rhythm section. Both bands combine those styles with great harmonies though so I get what you mean.
