It was originally written for Shinedown's, The Sound of Madness album. It didn't make the cut and OLR picked it up and BAM! Holy sweet collaboration between OLR and Brent Smith! I'm in love both of these bands' music!

Great Lyrics..
Some of the lyrics in this are from Shinedown's "Soon Forgotten" which is a track on the deluxe version of "Leave a Whisper". And they're not the only lyrics he reused from that album that were used in a song for "Sound of Madness" album, lyrics from "Burning Bright" were put (slightly changed to fit) into "What a Shame"
If you guys can't tell the difference in Cris's voice and Brent's voice then listen more carefully. Parts are Crisp and parts are Brent, and a lot of it is both!!

Okay, so is Brent singing the first chorus, along with the second group of verses, then part of the bridge, and then part of the final chorus? Because I can't figure out if the first chorus is Brent or not.
The original OLR version of this song was awesome, and this is pretty sweet too. Shinedown and OLR are solid.

at first, that did NOT sound like Brent Smith...it sounds like a totally different voice! I wish he'd use that voice more often because its great :)

Cris's parts aren't any crisper, the way I can tell is pitch and Brent throws higher notes out, what makes this song so great is that there voices are equal
