I love this first property . It's perfect . I'd get a couple of goats to help out with garden maintenance :)
Good choice, this farm is my dream. The first thing I would do in the house is remove the dividing wall between the kitchen and the next small room, like that it would be a great living space. A huge sliding door overlooking the terrace to enjoying the garden view from this living space would be next. May God bess you both with good health and prosperity and enjoying the fruits of your labour for a very very long time.
Thanks Mary, all great ideas 😊
Perfect guys 😎🍷🚍⚓️🇬🇧
It was fun watching this today. September 26,2020 I can see all the work you two have done, too.
Looking back it seems like a lot but we had lots of lazy days of doing nothing or relaxing too 😊
This place is great, you should buy this one it’s flat the best one yet... I feel this is the one for you both to buy
We did buy it and we love living here now. You can see it in our latest videos called 'Portugal farm life' 😁👍
This is your place isn’t it?? From this video back when to now you’ve really brought it to life.
Yes this is the video we made when looking at our farm for the first time
@@OKportugal well as they say “It’s come a long way baby!”. Very nice.
So good to see Paulo Batista again he is looking well , good luck with buying your dream
Thank you. We have bought and moved in ❤😊 see our latest videos
@@OKportugal I see you are in fundau region , you have it looking nice , well done to you both, I am enjoying watching your experience 😁
One of the best you have seen..imo..
Yes I agree :)
I'm so torn, the other one was so magical and unforgettable. But this one is probably the most sensible.
I have this image in my mind of what I wanted in a farm and since we have been visiting the properties in person this picture has changed as we discover how certain things will affect your quality of life and the amount of effort needed to maintain that lifestyle. I love the look of wild and untamed land but for someone with no farming experience, I fear that might be too much to tackle alone.
This particular farm is a blank canvas with lots of potential and I dont think it would take much to make it really beautiful.
Very good choice and useful definitely the best of the bunch. It’s funny looking back at now
Absolutely marvellous and it had everything a farmer-wanna-be would like to have in the very beginning.
I loved this video.
(I first saw a video from you some two days ago and I became an instant follower.)
Obrigado.
Obrigado Victor 😁❤️🙏
8:53 The olive trees are well pruned and low.
A bread oven does not have a chimney. You burn the fire with the front open until all is reduced to ash and the oven is hot, clean out the ash, slam in the dough, seal and leave to bake.
Wow. What a beautiful property!! So different from the other 'wilder' ones. :)
My heart loves the wilder places but we needed somewhere to live and we can always plant trees. Now its spring, we have so much vegetation on this farm and its looking fantastic! ❤
OKportugal I totally get that. They all had something really beautiful about them.
Here in Canada where I live (Ottawa) they reminded me of either the forest off our farm, or where our cottage. This one definitely suits the growing and RV park idea and it IS beautiful... and all those fruit trees... wow!
I am not sure what wild animals you have there in PT but here there were times when I would worry about my cat or even my Border Collie and where you are now is probably a little less likely to encounter hidden danger. (We lost one of our cats to a coyote).
I had to go to bed but planning to continue watching today.
Cheers ~
@@JenShea Canada looks stunning from what I've seen on TV programs but I don't think I could handle the cold weather. We put a trail cam down and caught wild pigs, foxes, badgers, mongoose, rabbits, hares, lots of rodents and wild birds. Nothing our dogs or cats can't take care of. Sorry to hear about your poor kitty!
This is laid out about like your place!!
A very nice farm here
This is very nice country
Hi.. amazing farm and glad it worked out for you...could you provide a price reference (maybe a range) for a similar farm/region please ? Just trying to compare with the previous ones that you have visited .... thank you @OKportugal
Sure, our farm is between Castelo Branco and Fundao and we paid just under 70k back in December. I have noticed that property prices are going up since we moved here. Maybe because of Brexit?
We will be doing more farm tours soon for our RUclips channel and I will be sure to include prices and info on how people can contact the relevant estate agents 😊
@@OKportugal The price was very good for the size of the land and you got a nice house to go with it :) Well done congratulations!!
Like this one, at least you can move in and there is plenty of flat space. How far is the ski resort from it, there could be your winter custom. Plenty of space to breed dogs in large kennel compound.
It is a great property that offers a lot of options because the way its laid out and fenced off. There is a lot of potential with this one but it does come with a higher price tag
@@OKportugal pls geve me a farm name and plece

@@אברהםסופר-ג3ו we ended up buying this farm and we live here now 😊

It’s beautiful this is in the north of Portugal it’s the coldest place in Portugal that’s the reason why the houses are so cheap if you’re looking for hot place Alentejo is the place it’s located in the centre towards south good luck on your search
Thanks Helena. We have purchased a farm in the Castelo Branco region and moved into the farmhouse in December 😊
OKportugal good luck I hope you enjoy I miss Portu but we’re also moving back to Portugal we’re purchasing a villa in azeitão
@@helenaisabel2010 thanks Helena. All the best with your property search 😊👍
Nice one
Persimmon = Diospiro. Amazing for a fruit smoothie.
I can't wait to harvest them this year 😊
plsphone number for buy farm
@@אברהםסופר-ג3ו Google for Remax in Castelo Branco. They are the company we used to buy this farm 😊
@@OKportugal ok tell me company want to sell
@@אברהםסופר-ג3ו there should be an email address on their website. Drop them a mail. They have hundreds of wonderful farm properties 😊
I think you had already bought this place at 20 mins x
How much is that
Omg that spider is horrific!
I'm wondering what belongings were left when you moved in? Yes I would have the same excitement as you. Probably a good time of year to view I.e. End of summer season
Not much. No junk or rubbish really. Old tools and irrigation pipes and some small furniture pieces.
I think we were very lucky because we have seen places which would have needed a lot of cleaning
price, its nice farm
Lovely land. I read they do have forest fires in that area . Was the estate agent referring to the first property or the area? Good luck
Unfortunately the whole of portugal is affected by fires in the summer. Also a lot of farm land has been abandoned and is overgrown which becomes a real fire risk in the hot, dry summers.
The farm we purchased is surrounded by working farms and by the time the summer heat arrives, the grasses are cut or ploughed and the land is mostly clear from flammable materials for many miles around.
If a fire did start there is an effective fire fighting service and because the land is clear it should hopefully not spread to far and endanger us.
If I lived in a forest with pine and eucalyptus, then I'd be worried.
@@OKportugal I didnt realise fires were such a big issue in Portugual until I started looking at property. I wish you good luck and hope you continue to remain safe .
@@lth1072 thank you. Good luck with your property search. The fire risk is really only in the height of summer. I'm sure we will be fine as long as our neighbours and we also all make sure that the land is clear of dry grasses and weeds for the driest part of the year. With no fuel to burn and nowhere to spread we should be fine. The fields don't have to be bare either as last summer we had loads of green corn which won't burn while it's green
Beautiful proprty। Can you sale the proprty
My advice.....Buy the pine forest land next to your property. My motto: " I don't want all the land....only the land next to mine".
So funny it was a house and now it’s a HOME!,
It took a while but we are so settled here now ❤️😊
How much is this property? Total area, thanks.
Do you remember how much this property was at the time?
No sorry I don't.
Can you buy as cheap inland down in the Algarve say near the Spanish boarder ; might it be warmer there?
No it's more expensive in the Algarve. The cheapest properties are around the central. Portugal region.
Do you mind saying were this property is located, and what is the asking price?
It's located in Soalheira and we bought it for ourselves and we live here now 😊
@@OKportugal Congratulations, it is an amazing property! :)
@@paulorocha1975 thanks 😁 I will be filming some more farm properties very soon for the channel. Maybe we will find another you like.
Sir have job available here
I must have missed it, what was the price of this farm?
£67,000 it was a very good price 👍
where does the wastewater go to ?
Setic tank / soak away
I was really disappointed when you muted sound to avoid giving away location. This is sadly a South African trait. Surely you musy know in property deals all you need to do is register a first option with the Agent!!!!
And the rest is history.......:D
Sure is. We will be filming more farm properties though as a lot of our subscribers are still looking for places. Ut for us we will stay put for a long time here 😁👍
