Those are beautiful cameras. Although I think in these conditions you would not tell a difference even between D700 or some cheapo dx camera (watching on short format on youtube ofc). I still have not made a jump into Z system, and I am still using my D4 but I am thinking of getting Z6II soon.
@@SonOfWalhall I did adapt 70-200 VR G (the first vr version) it works better than on D4. Also I have adapted 50mm 1.8 and 16-35 all work excellent, also I have 105mm sigma and it works better than on D4. I have 24-120 s lens and 180-600mm Z lens they work really good. DSLRs are still better in lowlight when using flash, because they have that grid assist option. 1.8 z lenses give Z6II seeing in the dark autofocus, I don't know how that happends but it does.
20fps? I was happy with the d2xs. Soon people will just start wearing 4k cameras all over their body and then record in 4k 120p and then just walk into the event and go home. Then pick a still. Everyone laughs now but the only thing you really need to do photography is 1fps. Everything else is icing. Amazing shots have been made with very slow cameras. I have shot Indy car with a phase one for crying out loud. I love my fellow photographers but the FPS war is so very boring.

At what point have we destroyed the art of “setting the shot?” I think digital has reached a peak where it can’t enhance the craft any further. I would think that the camera industry focusing on cleaner high ISO is less destructive to learning the craft than 1 million FPS.
@@Bredddi you have a very high skill level which people like me don't have, so you can makeup for the lack of very keenly sensitive system with your skills, which we can't 😅
I tested them on a shooting in studio. D850 w sigma 50/1.4 and z8 with the naitive z50 1.2 and the 850 was more detailed and sharp. There was a big difference in color on the same wb.
The truth is either camera will take an outstanding picture but surely with several years technological advancement in the mid the Z8 will outperform the D850 in many arenas. Just the 20fps RAW with a 1,000 image buffer is amazing. On my D850 there have been times that I’ve filled up the bugger and missed shots even when using the higher speed SD cards.
I bet the D850 won’t overhear and shutdown like the Z8 though🤣🤣🤣 Forget the technological advances. Overheating and shutting off should be a big deal for a photographer. Imagine shooting a wedding and doing video/ photos and your camera overheats and shuts down 🤣🤣🤣
I have seen hundreds of D850 huge megapixel shot what could an eye want 48mb photos are incredable when printed meter to meter outstanding but unfortunstely in today’s world iphone 14 pro takes the same resolution which is 700 Euro and noone except professionals buy Z8 and earn a living eith 4K videos.
I’ve been watching him for years now because to be honest who doesn’t want to watch a guy using all the latest and greatest gears. But there are so many points that i don’t agree, like you will not become a better photographer if you have the lates’t camera. You will not not know the difference if you compare photos taken in both cameras side by side. The nikon mirrorless is not going to be lighter than nikon dslr, i mean look at those nikon mirrorless lenses it’s massive. There are so many points that made you believe mirrorless will make you a great photographer. It’s not true and it’s all lie, many great photographers know that.

So stop laughing at me you so called know it all in the close knit photography world!
The marketing is nuts. When the D850 came out it was touted as the worlds best camera and takes amazing photos and totally blew away the D810. Now that the Z8 is out they are saying that it’s the best camera and blows the D850 away. Hilarious. It Al comes down to the photographer at the end of the day. Matt, that picture you labeled in this video from the D850 was horrible and you know you can do better. Stop with the crazy comparisons bro. We’ve seen better pictures from you with a D700.

@@mattgranger D850 sensor is still better. Z8 autofocus worse than entry level canon cameras. D850 autofocus is actually fine. The photos you put up to download with your Z8 shoot were all terrible. So terrible it made the 200mm f2 look like photos taken from a flip phone in 1995. Z8 is crap.

There is no difference at all!!!! Even with the d750 you will get the same quality pictures
