10:24 FYI, in many cases an APU with the performance of the 6500XT would require at least tripple channel DDR5 to keep up with the bandwidth requirements, either that or a MASSIVE infinity cache, like 256MB

Interesting thing is all the 6650xt at AMD where sold out but you can still get 6750xt's and 6950xt's oem on there web sight. I personally would go with a 6700xt right now because there in between both cards.

I ordered the 6650xt and used Passmark benchmark to test it and the graphics test measured it in the 37 percentile of the graphics card market. My 6600 was in the 80's I sent it back the day I got it. It ran very cool though because of the lack of performance.

Would have been nice to see the comparison to Nvdias competing cards in the graphs as well. Lots of great info though, I'm curious as to how much additional performance there is to be had with these cards overtime through driver updates where so much progress has already been made with the original 6000 series cards.

Asrock 6600/6600XT ITX single fan. Dual slot 179mm long. Picked it up because I know AMD single fan GPU is pretty much a unicorn. Much more silent compared to nvidia equivalent single fan 3060 due to the better thermal headroom on RDNA2 and it uses less power too.

I'm retired and don't do PC gaming but I love watching all these videos. I've just built a new PC for my recording studio (5950x, 64Gb) and didn't want to spend silly money on a GPU but luckily a friend sold me an RX6500 for £50. It might be weak for gaming but at that price, it's perfect for driving my ultrawide monitors. I was thinking of waiting for a decent price on a better GPU but I don't need to. I can spend the money on big SSDs for sample libraries. 😃

MSRP is a joke. At least in Europe. The cheapest 6600XT costs about 525 dollars. So considering the 6650XT is a more expensive card as it is, we are not going to find one sub 600 dollars. I really want to see Ray Tracing ability on the next gen AMD gpus. Like I doubt they will be as good as Nvidia's, but the upper half of the stack of next gen cards should still be relatively better at RT than the current stuff. Really, I just do not like to see massive performance loss when a really good looking game like Metro Exodus forces RT on.

Nah, $400 for a card like the 6650 XT is a joke. Not that nvidia is any better. Better spend a bit more for the 6750 XT.

I had the 6900XT from PowerColor. I lost count of the many issues I encountered with the AMD drivers. From low performance in some games and benchmarks to having to tweak the settings in the driver control panel just to get optimal performance. I sold it and got an RTX 3070 TI and everything just works smoothly. Everything is perfect again like when I had the RTX 2080 Super. Games just work and I don't have to tweak a single thing to make my card work with its best possible performance. Very frustrating experience. So for me, AMD Gpus are a No No.

@@thelaughingmanofficial haha I wish. Mate, I'm just a normal PC user like you. I also hate lies. I will never tell anyone something that is not true about a product. I'm just talking from my own experience. That was my experience with the 6900XT, maybe I didn't have luck. It was really bad experience in games, in benchmarks, user experience. The drivers are really bad. With the RTX 3070 TI, everything runs smoothly without me having to tweak anything to extract the maximum performance. It just works. That is my experience mate.

AMgreeD. Very little performance gain, but higher costs. Pointless launch for consumers, and only for AMD's profit margins. Pass.

You know, none of this matters for me, I have a 6600XT. and it will be my final AMD GPU not because it is bad but because AMD spends 1$ a month supporting it. I have had it since launch, and still I cant use Blender with HIP ray tracing on my platform, if I however use NVIDIA I can use Blender with proper accelerated ray tracing, and I can use ray tracing when playing games. On my platform, my platform being Linux. It is sad to see that AMD wont open its drivers for Linux and wont support Linux with proper closed drivers, I do as a consumer and user not care if my drivers are open or closed i care about if they work and not, and no switching to SwindelOS X11 is not an option, but switching to NVIDIA is.

these x50 series are dumb cards in my opinion. should be focused on the 7000 series which was rumored to be end of the year. amd doing some dumb shit in recent years. at least they didn't launch a whole series based on the 5800x3d and instead only released the one knowing zen4 which will also have the 3d stacked cache will be out end of year.
