Our main objectives on Executive Deck are: 1. Complete the Cyberspace segment in the Delta Quadrant to unlock the Beta Grove transit. (28:10) Alternatively, press the button in Diego's office in the Beta Quadrant. (1:32:45) 2. Disable the interlocks in all three Groves. 2.1. The transit to Delta Grove can be found in the northern section of the Delta Quadrant. 2.2. The transit to Alpha Grove can be found in the southeast section of the Delta Quadrant. 2.3. The transit to Beta Grove can be found in the southwest section of the Beta Quadrant. 3. In a room near the Maintenance Deck elevator, write down the randomized code displayed on the second-from-the-left screen (40:27). Use the code to unlock the door in the southeast part of the Beta Quadrant (1:37:28). 4. Destroy the CPU Nodes. (1:40:26) 5. Defeat Cyber Diego. (1:42:29) 6. Interact with the Master Jettison Enable control (1:43:40). 7. Take the elevator to the Maintenance Deck. 19:22 The starting position on the chessboard is randomized, but the player always starts in a winning position. Winning the match unlocks the room at 20:47 and earns the "En Passant" achievement.
It's eerie how some of the voice lines from the mutants include "Kill me" and "Thank you" after finishing them off. Like they're in a constant state of pain, agony and lack of control while wanting to be put out of their misery.
This is the hardest section in the game IMHO -- original OR remake. You have a lot to do, need to do a lot of backtracking, you start running into much more difficult foes, and SHODAN starts getting serious in taking you out. And the first of the Diego boss fights.
35:58 *DANK JOKE* _Jill Verrelli:_ Well, so much for cracking the _Craze_ ring. Our trafficker killed herself in her cell. No interrogation - no clues. Also, it seems a large number of our incarcerated have been receiving drugs. I recommend we immediately perform a search on all occupied cells.
1:28:21 One thing to note about this energy rapier is that its color depends on the color of your Heads-Up Display when you pick it up. The one picked up on the Maintenance Deck will always be blue regardless of the color of your Heads-Up Display.
The wait for this is worth it! The Pulse Rifle and Railgun has appeared, and the truth about what happened in the Citadel is now making sense (for me, at least). Anyways, superb playthrough and can't wait for the next one.
1:34:41 Damn that Gorilla-Tiger's head with two faces chopped off with a Magnum is like chopping the limbs of the Necromorph with a Plasma Cutter, lucky break!
Awe yeah! That was it! The damn blue keycard was my issue. I walked around in circles for days and was so close to giving up. After finding the card, I slowly followed all of your footsteps until I saw where it needed to be used. Now, I'm off to hopefully finish the game. I might be back because I don't understand the flashing codes on the walls. Thank you so much for making this. Addendum- I just made it out of Beta Grove and I absolutely hated it. I thought I was prepared...15 health patches (don't work unless you use multiples at a time), 9 Detox patches (I have 3 left), and I only had one health pack. I used that to beeline it to the exit. I didn't break any cameras (screw that) but I did pick up the upgrade. Bro, I had to run from most things at the end because most of my shots from my magnum kept missing. We're talking from 3 feet away. When I jumped on the tram to get out of there half of my screen turned dark blue. My game paused and stopped responding for 10 seconds. I wasn't gong to do it again but the damn thing popped back on. I saved and restarted everything. Now, it all seems okay. Has that ever happened to you. Oh and all of my shotgun rounds became Dragon's Breath. I had 60 flachette and 45 Dragon's Breath. My guy refused to load his shotgun until I changed rounds and everything became Dragon's Breath.
I didn't experience bugs like that. Beta Grove can be really tricky if you don't know where to go. I assume you have the biohazard protection? It's a nightmare trying to go through that area without it (although it is still doable as long as you beeline for your main objective).
@patologTV I had the level 1 suit on. I got through it by making a beeline for the release thing and upgrade. Then I took the rooftops to the elevator and out. I'm hoping that when I find version 2 or version 3 of the environment suit, I can walk through Beta Grove. I want to really explore it and fight all the enemies.
You, you just saved this game for me (I think). I have been stuck for days, and I was at the point where I was going to walk away for good. I thought I will look at one of these guides before flushing the game. I skimmed through your last video to find out where I am and didn't see anything I missed. I decided one last video, and that's it, no more... As I was watching, I saw you pick up a blue Admin Key Card @5:32 that didn't remember seeing. I hurriedly turned back on the game and boom, I'm got it and am back in (I think). Now, I just need to find out where it goes.... Never in a million years would I have thought to do this... 35:55. Addendum- I stopped at *edit 55:36 for the night. I will pick it back up tomorrow.
I did not know that you could actually withdraw credits from that vending machine. I think I saw a credit card somewhere, but don't actually remember where exactly. Need to give it a try soon
36:00 Oh, of _course_ they placed it in the movie theater. Did someone pay to have the RiffTrax guys do a cameo, or were the developers such big nerds that they wanted to add a skit?
Pretty good, some nice improvements. A lot of the enemies have new attacks, for example, the Avian Mutants have a range attack now, as you can see in this video. They also optimized the performance. Even though the game is not very demanding, and I maintain 200+ FPS at all times, there were some stuttering issues, most noticeable in the Groves. That seems to be fixed now. My only issue with the update so far is wonky physics at times.

Is it IMpossible to achieve "No Damage" in this game??
It is possible if you don't count the damage from radiation and biohazard, and the cyberspace sections.
And there's also those two dark humorous achievements.
It's eerie how some of the voice lines from the mutants include "Kill me" and "Thank you" after finishing them off. Like they're in a constant state of pain, agony and lack of control while wanting to be put out of their misery.

Yeah, I like this deck as well, especially the Groves. It's a nice change of scenery.
wow this was a trip man! you are truly the master of this games
Great video Pat 👍
Amazing video Pato! Thanks.

That must be the most annoying sound I´ve ever heard in a videogame; the character choking, or whatever he did? I had to turn the sound off. =/
Yeah, it's the character's reaction to biological hazards :)
What about radiation damage in Deus Ex 1?

Hey patolog, just a question: how come you always crouch when shooting? Does crouching steady your aim? Or make you more accurate?
Yeah, you're a bit more accurate when crouching. Often I crouch to stay undetected though.
