Egg freezing is not a silver bullet to menopause as these programs advertise. In many instances the best chances of success are less than 30%, especially if the eggs are frozen in a woman's mid - late 30s.
🎯
Exactly, more women need to cash in their chips early.
I was immediately reminded of "Adam Ruins Everything: - You Can Still Have Babies After 35 | truTV" Quoting:
"Egg freezing began as a way for women to save their eggs before undergoing chemotherapy. But today, it's grown into vanity industry that preys on fertility fear.
"Your eggs are rotting, fast. So we're gonna freeze some now and thaw them out later when you're ready to have a baby."
What she failed to mention is that each of those eggs only has a 2% to 12% chance of resulting in a baby, and the whole shebang is gonna cost you upwards of $20,000.
20 grand? Yeah.
And all that money is usually wasted. The vast majority of women who freeze their eggs
never actually use them because, again, you can get pregnant in life later than you think."
Alt title: don't forget to freeze your eggs, while you are slaving away to make the next billion for your ceo...
Seriously 😂
Women don't seem to realise that egg freezing is nowhere near perfect. Just search the internet and social media for the countless women who are left heartbroken after spending tens and thousands only to realise that, at 35, 40, even 50 year olds, they simply have left it too late for even the egg freezing doctors to extract any healthy eggs from.
If you're going to do it, do it in your early 20s.
You do realise you pay every year to keep it in the storage too right? That’s why doctors advise women to do it from LATE 20’s onwards (mostly early 30’s) because they might just find a partner and do it the natural way. Keeping the cost less.
What I would say to this lady is - go for it!
I did it myself and later on my eggs didn't give me any babies, but now I'm at peace because I at least tried it. Science exists, but it is not magic.
How much did it cost where you live, and was it painfull. I am not having it done, but its important questions
@@carolinerondon8934 no pain at all, all done under anesthetics. I have done it here in London and I collected my eggs many times in diferent clinics because my anti mullerian levels where very low, but you can expect it to cost around £3k.
@@Patricia-jk9sg That is really cheap. Maybe you should have gone to a bit more upscale clinic. There really are some dodgy clinics out to scam women.
Why do so many of you modern women wait until basically the last moment? Also it's not hard though find a good man but most modern women don't want to good men
@@thegreataynrand7210 Here is the low down: Please listen ! Women have about 10% of the testosterone the men have. Their sex drive is weak because of this. It is strong when they are young, but as they age it tapers off rather quickly. Estrogen is the chemical that makes them appear attractive. When they enter middle age , they get baby rabies. They may appear eager for sex, but it is not the same as the male desire. Be informed. Males are much more needy than females and easy to manipulate. My 2 cents.
I know I'm going to be bashed for this but what about what is best for the child? How about just ... not having children? At what "cost" do we want to have a child? Sometimes I find this is just another industry making money on the backs of women ....
Exactamundo !
100% right. There are more than enough people and unwanted children im this world. Please read up on the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement.
You are not going to be bashed. You are right!
Women who do this are selfish. They're depriving their child of a father, among all the other issues with doing this.
Tell that to arab women of low social status, who have 5-6 children each.
First ask yourself why to be a parent before becoming a parent because it is irreversible.
Lata Mangeshkar, Ekta Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Mayawati, Jayalalithaa, Mamta Banerjee, Tabu and many such legendary women have lived a single and childfree life successfully and happily.
Happy only in the public’s eye. You have no idea of the trials & pains they faced at a daily.
@n325aej how do you know? There are many parents that also regret having children. They gave their children everything and in their old age their children abandon and abuse them.
@@ubayyd you think being a mom doesn’t bring sorrow? Doesn’t bring emptiness? Sometimes moms loose identity too.
@KING WANI👑 I have my aunt in my family and several other relatives both male and female who chose to live a solitary life happily and they do even today without any remorse for living their lives on their own. Some of them are 60+ and enjoying to the fullest.
Suicides are also more frequent among married ones in comparison to singles and that says a lot about marriages and relationships.
"The best lovestory is with oneself because it never ends".
Raising a human baby is an extremely challenging marathon task of two decades and I think as the world population shrinks it should be financially and socially supported by governments.

Oh shut up! Have some critical thinking and p.s- a little of West African women (I'm very certain you're Nigerian...I just know) are suffering because of societal pressure when they would not have had children so young or had as many. Also the men they are with will be abusive and terrible whilst the elders te ger to stay.
Ladies if a woman is not seving you freeze your eggs and wait for the right situation. Not every man man is worthy of creating the gift of a child with Non Western or not smh
Adoption could be an option, I mean look at how overpopulated we are right now.
Frozen eggs are one of my daughter's favorite summertime treats.
Let's hope she will have health eggs to give you grandchildren in the future.
At 3:00 the doctor is explaining that the eggs are extracted when they reach the size of 18-20mm... Can someone please do a fact check, what she is really saying. I am not a doctor, what she said is not true, the human egg is around 100 microns or 0.1 to 0.2mm, I remember that from my biology class.
True what you said
She needs invest her money in a personal trainer instead of freezing her eggs…
True, because of she is having baby late, she also needs to be fit momma. As a obese person I understand what you said.
I thought the chances of a viable pregnancy from a frozen egg, were very low.No mention of success rate from frozen egg here.
I was immediately reminded of "Adam Ruins Everything: - You Can Still Have Babies After 35 | truTV" Quoting:

It is a wonderful documentary coverage video about human eggs 🥚 Freezing scientific techniques..shared by excellent( DW) documentary channel...Are it's a luxurious phenomenon of Indian 🇮🇳 upper-class individuals ...?& a health tourism phenomenon?
Well even generic heart surgery is a privilege for poor. Especially to get timely treatment. So yes not everyone is same.
We can't all continue to grow in our careers until we're 60. And most of us don't. It's fine to put your career in the backseat for a decade to start a family. All the time in the world to focus on work later in life.
And if anything, your kids will be the best reason why you're doing it all.
Great movie !
If one wants to be a parent badly enough, she/he will make it work regardless of financial or career status. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' time. It's about making choices what one wants to prioritise. To me personally, if someone gets to 35 and still can't figure out whether she wants a child, it's likely she doesn't really want one. "The idea sounds nice and beautiful, but I'm not ready to give up my career/lifestyle for it." If that's the case, it's best not to have a child. With medical technologies these days, yes, women can freeze eggs and have a child at much later age, but it isn't just about being pregnant and giving birth. As a parent, you need the energy, health, mental space, time, attention, etc. to raise a child, and realistically, 40s probably isn't optimal. For example, by the time the child reaches puberty, the mother is going through menopause. Doable, but probably not ideal, both for the child and the mother.

Time changes everything.
Yeah, I think if you have money why not freeze some eggs if you over 30.
It would be plan b.
Or just adopt kids
Why would you adopt someone that took genes of alcoholics or drug addicts? Normal kids dont end up in adoption centers. You will adopt a child who has mental trauma if not also physical from its abusive household, and its not guaranteed that the child will adopt YOU. There were cases where adopted children benefited from the money and such of their caretakers then as soon as they got the education and money, they left them and broke the contact with them. How grateful.
So rather than waste your money and energy on someone’s “mistake”, ehy not form your own family and have your own children from your flesh and blood and dna?
@@Yazan26579 i see. Make sense.
When it's really hot out my daughter will buy fresh eggs , put them on a skewer, and put them in the freezer for later.
Not to be! Nowadays to put a child in this world is suicide 🌎
She should consider adoption. Seriously.

Frozen eggs are tasty with cheese n chicken sandwich but don't boil them again...
Dont waste your time in your 20s and early 30s on non-serious relationships, if you want babies and feel ready.
Me and my wife had kids in early 20s while studying and it wasnt as difficult as I was told it was gonna be. We also had strong support network.
you're delusional if you think people only end up single after 30 because they "wasted time on non-serious relationships"
I disagree, taking care kids are harder than anything else in the world 🌎.
@@NightinGal89 Never did I say that. But it is part of the issue for some today while they study well in to their mid to late 20s. Ive seen it too many times.
My whole point was, date with a purpose early and dont be afraid to have kids early, if you feel ready. Most western culture make it out to be much harder than it is. Particularly if you have good support network, you need that regardless if you are old or young.
@@maily8388 If you have a not so strong support network, parents that can help out, then it is probably tougher. I didnt experience that, I have supportive parents that helped us. But that is the case regardless if you are young or old. It doesnt magically get easier, we have more energy in our 20s.
I have noticed that children of those who had children in their early and mid 20s tend to raise up the most well adjusted kids - not the wealthiest, but their kids are happy, fulfilled and socially adjusted. Having kids too young means the parents are inexperienced to teach their children; having kids too old means they don't have the energy to keep up with them before they mature.
You are only as fertile as you are TODAY
No eggs
Empty egg carton
You don't have any eggs
Follow up episode: How to invest in a treadmill.
Treadmill is only additional, eating less (stress eating and manipulating your mood with food) is way more important and hard part.
Exercise don't solve fat loss, a bit of control what you eat does.
Some really funny comments here LOL
To find a partner who would want to have kids together. I don't get why no one in this documentary mentioned her obesiyy being a relationship and fertility related negative factor.
*Just adopt..?* 🤷🏻♂️
Adoption process in our country is better now, but people still don’t explore that option, moreover they want perfect babies.
After reading the comments at min 5, I stopped watching the video. The comments are more interesting. The truth is that single women are healthier and happier because nowadays women have to be the adineres, work and still do house-chores. The latter has not changed and on top rising children. Or they put their children on childcare from 8 am - 6 pm and the child is raised by whom and what values. If you want to be a mom, make it your priority and find a husband who can support you financially.
Women who depend on a husband to support them financially are mostly miserable too--they have been for centuries. Not having any financial agency means that your happiness and well-being is completely dependent on someone else. Deep down, knowing you have no autonomy makes someone depressed. And then, if the person you financially depend on becomes miserable to be around, abusive, or leaves you, then you are in a desperate position w/no ability to support yourself or your kids. There is a reason why women fought to move away from this, and only idiots would think giving up agency of their own lives is the preferable choice.
If you want to become a mother...
Have a baby till 25 then focus on your career.
So your toughest times are when you are physically most fertile and strong..
And then focus on your career..
Yeah, just go and make a baby with some guy before turning 25 even though you know he ain't the father/husband material, because if you wait until you find the right guy you will make a huge mistake! 🙄🙄
@Jelena Jelka In west you do the same, difference is that you do it in your teens.
In the US, 40% of children are born out of marriage.
And if you can decide what's best for your country at the age of 18 and why can't you decide with whom to have kids at 22 or 23
35 is very young. The problem is she looks way older prob 50+ bc of her weight so even though ppl want to be ‘inclusive’ and stuff.. Overweight is till not healthy.
